!!Premise:

Project Bluefield follows the Zeros, a group of mysterious, [[{{Unperson}} nonexistent]] [[DimensionalTraveler world-hoppers]]. They have two main goals: record the stories of worlds, and eliminate [[TheHeartless the Umbral Forms]] that invade and ravage said worlds.

The first Protagonist's story begins in the year 2010, when [[TheCallKnowsWhereYouLive another normal human being is chosen to become a Zero.]] This "nonexistent individual"--who now goes by 017 "Bluefield"--soon finds himself thrust into an ongoing hunt for monsters that pose a threat to reality.

There are two general sets of stories: those set between 2010 and 2012, and those set after 2012. However, the author is currently releasing the "a.2012" stories, in AnachronicOrder.

!!Here's what we know about the tropes that apply to this series:
* AllThereInTheManual: The essential information about the Zeros is usually put in footnotes on the first chapter.
* AmbiguousDisorder: Averted with Bluefield--he's outright stated to suffer from PTSD.
* AnachronicOrder: To the n-th degree. The author began publishing stories in the after 2012 arc, jumping around afterwards. Also, the ''Talking About Anything'' fics follow a more disparate "scene"-based storytelling style, a basic idea that the author got from this video.
* ArcNumber:
** Bluefield has 17, and its digital root of 8.
** Trey has 13, and its digital root of [[FourIsDeath 4]].
** Fire Emblem Fates: Devastation has one as well, but it has yet to be revealed.
* BerserkButton:
** Never be a threat to Bluefield's friends.
* BigBrotherMentor: 017 "Bluefield", to the Ashen Wolves.
* ChildSoldier: [[spoiler:In the introduction to Fighting For Nothing - FEA, Trey reveals that this is what he, Dreyza, Vespyr, and Kyoku were initially created for. Then Bluefield showed up, breaking then out and [[KillEmAll killing the people responsible]].]]
* CoolBigBrother: Dreyza certainly sees Bluefield as this.
* CrazyEnoughToWork: Bluefield managed to use a cave-in in a way that Prince Kamui hadn't expected. [[NoodleIncident We have yet to see what happened.]]
* DarkAndTroubledPast: The Ashen Wolves seem to have these. Bluefield suffers from some form of PTSD due to a past event, and the other Wolves…[[ChildSoldiers well.]]
* DimensionalTraveler: The Zeros.
* [[FiveManBand Five-Zero Band]]: The Ashen Wolves.
** TheLeader: 017-R "Dreyza"
** [[TheHero The Zero]]: 013-R "Trey"
** TheBigGuy + BigBrotherMentor: 017 "Bluefield"
** TheChick*: 016-R "Vespyr"
** TheSmartGuy: 015-R "Kyoku"
* FourLinesAllWaiting: Given that only one person is writing something so ridiculously huge, this is inescapable.
* GivingRadioToTheRomans: PlayedWith in Fire Emblem Fates: Devastation.
* GrayAndBlackMorality: The Zeros aren't exactly good people (hell, [[{{Unperson}} they aren't even]] ''[[{{Unperson}} people]]''); but they are the only things that can give humanity a fighting chance against the Umbrals and Lumenals.
* TheHeartless: The Umbral Forms, and their counterparts, the Lumenal Forms.
* HumanoidAbomination: Despite appearing human, Zeros constantly call themselves "freaks of nature" that shouldn't exist, yet do.
* InsistentTerminology: Don't call the Immortals "gods". [[BerserkButton Like, ever.]]
* InstantAwesomeJustAddDragons: By nature of [[LiminalBeing their existence]], Bluefield and Dreyza can transform into dragons.
* JigsawPuzzlePlot
* KnightInSourArmor: Kyoku. Bluefield as well, to a certain degree.
* LeaningOnTheFourthWall: Happens in the footnotes at times.
* LikeASonToMe: Endra treats Lilith and Camilla almost as if they were her own children.
* LiminalBeing: The Zeros, though it is not stated why. Yet.
* LoadsAndLoadsOfCharacters
* MassiveMultiplayerCrossover: [[DownplayedTrope Albeit one that takes it one world at a time.]]
* MentorOccupationalHazard: Averted with [[BigBrotherMentor Bluefield]], who is still active and alive by Fire Emblem Fates: Devastation. However, his mentors--the past Zeros--likely have not escaped this fate.
* MindScrew: The series shows some shades of this so far.
* MysteriousBacker: Vaire, an apparition of creepy twin siblings.
** By Fire Emblem Fates: Devastation, the relations between Vaire and the Wolves have become strained. At one point, Blu even tells Vaire to "freak off".
* OriginalCharacter: Many--[[LoadsAndLoadsOfCharacters and not just the Zeros]].
* OutsideContextProblem: The Zeros and their enemies.
* PhysicalGod: The Immortals. Just…don't call them gods.
** [[InstantAwesomeJustAddDragons Endragon]], Immortal of the End.
* PosthumousCharacter
* ProtagonistTitle: Project Bluefield, for 017 "Bluefield". However, in the after 2012 arc, this becomes an ArtifactTitle, as 013-R "Trey" takes center stage as the {{Protagonist}}.
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: Bluefield, Burna.
* {{Reconstruction}}
* RecursiveFanfiction: The "Fire Emblem Fates: Devastation" stories are set in an AlternateContinuity of Creator/TheApocryphalOne's ''Chronicles of the Unexplored'' series--specifically, ''FanFic/TheInvisiblePrincess'' and The Lost King. (Project Bluefield's WordOfGod says that Fire Emblem Fates: Aftermath may not occur--certainly not in the same way as the original.)
* ShellShockedVeteren:
** 017 "Bluefield".
** SSgt. Bernadette "Burna" Lamprecht, of the Shell Armed Forces.
* ShoutOut:
** He may not be from another planet, but doesn't Bluefield sometimes talk a bit like...[[Series/DoctorWho the Doctor?]]
** The phrase that the Wolves use to describe themselves--"stray dogs howling in the dark"--comes from the manga series Dogs Bullets & Carnage. Not that that's the only thing that carried over...
** Music. Usually video game soundtracks, but also music from other places.
* TakeAThirdOption: Bluefield--and by extension, his teammates--usually choose this.
* ThemeNaming: Aside of the "-R" suffixed to their numbers, the Ashen Wolves (sans Bluefield) have the letter "Y" in their names.
* ThisIsGonnaSuck
* TimeMaster: The Ashen Wolves possess this to varying degrees, with Bluefield possessing the ability to "rush through time".
* UnexpectedCharacter:
** [[spoiler:In FEF:D, Queen Mikoto of Hoshido. She and Blu appear together in Chapter 10 of TAA - FEF:D.]]
* {{Unperson}}: The Zeros. Due to their fundamental nature, they will be forgotten after they depart from a certain world. No exceptions. [[FridgeHorror There are implications that this is for the best.]]
* WarIsHell: A theme in FEF:D.
* WithUsOrAgainstUs: The Zeros are GenreSavvy enough to not fall for this logical fallacy.
* WorldBuilding: Both in the main story and drabbles, and in their footnotes.
* YouAreBetterThanYouThinkYouAre: Prince Kamui tells Bluefield this in FEF: Devastation.
* YouAreNumberSix: Zeros have a set of numbers followed by a chosen name. Trey, Dreyza, Vespyr, and Kyoku have this taken one further, with a "-R" appended to the number.
* YouHaveNoIdeaWhoYoureDealingWith: To varying degrees.
