* AdaptationAmalgamation: The Marvel Universe here seems to be a composite of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the status quo set by ComicBook/AllNewAllDifferentMarvel.

* AlternateUniverseFic: Eventually evolved past its My Hero Academia inspired roots to become about former ChildhoodFriends Spider-Man and Scarlet Witch becoming enemies after having attended a SuperheroSchool together.

* OffTheRails: Some of the final pieces of artwork and lore that Ethan posted explains how at some point, the storyline would completely diverge from the general narrative of My Hero Academia once Wanda becomes the Scarlet Witch. At which point the story would basically become a more straightforward AlternateUniverse version of the Marvel Universe, just with a different backstory. In fact at some point Mary Jane Watson would appear and she wouldn't be based on any existing My Hero character.

* NegativeContinuity: Somewhat justified due to the series being nothing more than fun "what if" scenarios using My Hero Academia as a template. Designs, storylines, and characterizations change on a whim based on Ethan deciding on which part of My Hero he wanted to adapt, leading to major Retcons about what's previously established or establishing new lore that contradicts what a previous post implied.

For instance, Peter and Wanda being ChildhoodFriends only came about much later into the series since beforehand it was implied they had a similar MeetCute and friendship as Midoriya and Uraraka.

!!My Marvel Academia provides examples of the following:

The My Hero Academia aspects of the series eventually phased out and the story evolved to become about ChildhoodFriends Peter Parker and Wanda Maximoff who attended a SuperheroSchool together becoming bitter enemies in an AlternateUniverse version of the Marvel Universe.

* AbortedArc: Zig-zagged. The My Hero Academia aspects of the series eventually phased out and the story evolved to become about ChildhoodFriends Peter Parker and Wanda Maximoff who attended a SuperheroSchool together becoming bitter enemies in an AlternateUniverse version of the Marvel Universe. So while the premise of the SuperheroSchool a la MHA would be largely gone, the story centering around Peter and Wanda is still the focus.

Added DiffLines:

* Americasia: One artwork shows a younger Peter and Wanda wearing Japanese middle school uniforms, despite the series having no indication of being in Japan, implying that the world of My Marvel Academia takes place in some kind of mixture of Japan and America.

* BetaOutfit: Peter wears a homemade costume in his initial hero identity as "Street Sentry" not unlike his MCU counterpart's Homemade Suit, but eventually creates progressively more and more advanced and proper super-suits as he grows into Spider-Man.
* BreakTheCutie: Later events of the storyline eventually significantly hardens both Peter and Wanda, and older versions of the two don't have the same youthful optimism they previously had.
* ChildhoodFriendRomance: Peter and Wanda had been friends since childhood and eventually attend MCU together after Peter receives his spider powers, where the two have some heavy ShipTease similarly to Midoriya and Uraraka.

probably one of the cruelest versions of Flash Thompson is already Agent out there, probably not helped by his bond to t he Venom in symbiote.
* AdaptationalLateAppearance: Half of the main cast consists of new blood characters like Kamala Khan, Robbie Reyes, Gwenpool, Amadeus Cho, Riri Williams, Laura Kinney, and Sam Alexander. * AmbiguousSituation: Due to NegativeContinuity sometimes, it's... really unclear what the deal is with Peter's spider powers. There are mentions of him having been Quirkless much like Midoriya, implying that his powers are received via the iconic radioactive spider bite. While he's shown to have web-shooters, the artwork parodying the Sports Festival shows that he has organic web-shooters, implying that the mechanical ones he wears are purely cosmetic.

->"A friend of mine told me... 'wall-crawler' means I could reach heights and do amazing things! I'm not gonna be your punching bag forever, Flash! I am the 'amazing' kind of wall-crawler!!!"
-->--Peter Parker aka "Street Sentry".

My Marvel Academia is a concept series of fan illustrations and comic strips created by DuckLordEthan, telling the story of Manga/MyHeroAcademia but with the characters and lore of Franchise/MarvelComics. Due to the work's status as what amounts to a bunch of "what if's", the canonicity of most of the tropes here can often be inconsistent.

What is generally consistent is that the concept is set in a version of the Marvel Universe, where ComicBook/IronMan is the GreaterScopeParagon, and a young Peter Parker attends the prestigious "MCU" academy for heroes alongside various other superpowered teens, including childhood friend/possible LoveInterest Wanda Maximoff.

The original illustrations were hosted on Website/DeviantArt, but as of this writing, Ethan's account there has since deactivated, making it difficult to seek out the original artwork and their accompanying texts. Ethan has also retired from adding to the project, leaving its status in general in limbo. A quick Google search should show you said artwork, though.

!!My Marvel Academia provides examples of the following:
* AcademyOfAdventure: The MCU is a school dedicated to training future heroes.
* AdaptationalEarlyAppearance: Flash Thompson is already Agent Venom in this continuity.
* AdaptationalRelationshipChange: Spider-Man and Scarlet Witch are generally not close in the regular canon, to the point where neither have had any notable interactions together. Here, the two are childhood friends who would eventually attend MCU together, have some level of ShipTease, and eventually become bitter and tragic enemies after the death of Wanda's brother Pietro.
* AgeLift: Many MCU students are Marvel heroes that would usually be adults or older teens, but have been de-aged to be fourteen to fifteen years old to match the setting.
* AppropriatedAppellation: The "Deku" insult is adapted into "Wall-Crawler", which Peter proudly accepts after Wanda points out how it could mean someone who could reach new heights.
* AscendedFanboy: Much like his MCU counterpart, Peter is a huge fan of Iron Might who attends MCU to follow in his footsteps.
* CompositeCharacter: The series is a crossover between Marvel Comics and My Hero Academia, meaning various Marvel characters are designed to resemble My Hero characters and fulfill their roles within a similar storyline. Some are fairly blatant, others are only vaguely filling some shoes.
** Peter Parker/Spider-Man is merged with Izuku Midoriya/Deku.
** Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch with Ochako Uraraka/Uravity.
** Flash Thompson/Agent Venom with Katsuki Bakugo.
** Robbie Reyes/Ghost Rider with Shoto Todoroki.
** Laura Kinney/X-23 is drawn to resemble Momo Yaoyorozu.
** Kid Kaiju resembles Minoru Mineta, and artwork demonstrates that he's just as lecherous as his inspiration.
** There's some implication that Danny Rand/Iron Fist fills the role of Eijiro Kirishima/Red Riot.
** Tony Stark/Iron Man with All Might, nicknamed by Ethan as "Iron Might".
** Ezekiel Stane fills a similar role as Tomura Shigaraki.
** Sentinels are shown to be this universe's versions of Nomu.
* DeathByOriginStory: Uncle Ben was still killed in this version, and it's implied that he was beaten to death by a bunch of thugs that Peter wasn't able to fight off in time.
* HeelFaceTurn: At some point in the future, Quicksilver will be killed, driving Wanda to supervillainy as the Scarlet Witch and become Peter's enemy.
* HighSchoolAU: Ends up coming across as this due to the high school setting and de-aging of various characters.
* MythologyGag:
** Peter's later costume in the "Season Finale" resembles the Advanced Suit from VideoGame/SpiderManPS4.
** Iron Might's armor resembles his Ultimate version. Though he also takes up something that looks like the All-New All-Different armor.
** Nova, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist's presences seem to be inspired by their portrayals in WesternAnimation/UltimateSpiderMan2012.
* NotDistractedByTheSexy: When presented by Kid Kaiju with a suggestive drawing of all the girls, Flash is noticeably indifferent and walking away.
* ShipTease: Quite a bit between Peter and Wanda, which reflects the romance between Midoriya and Uraraka.
* TournamentArc: A version of the Sports Festival arc still occurs, with Peter facing off against Robbie Reyes and encouraging him to embrace the Spirit of Vengeance in the same way Midoriya encourages Todoroki to accept the pyrokinesis he inherited from his father.
