* ForWantOfANail: Luz's status, abilities, and mindset as a Jedi cause a number of events to play out differently, like not falling for Adegast's scheme, visiting Hexside as a prospective transfer student rather than as Willow's "abomination project", immediately getting accepted into the school instead of initially being forbidden, as well as winning her duel with Amity, and winning over Amity herself much sooner than her canon counterpart.
** The first big change as a result of this trope, is Luz's first Moonlight Conjuring where the moon magic when combined with Luz's Force Powers enabled her to [[spoiler: communicate with the Titan, exactly like Belos claims to do.]] And since the Owl House never became a [[{{Pun}} mobile home]], Eda and King never escaped from Tibbles forcing Luz to go rescue them the next morning.
** Luz is allowed to choose her track on her first day attending Hexside and selects Beast Keeping. After she and the troublemakers defeat the Greater Basilisk, Luz decides to return to said track instead of studying everything at once wanting to learn all types of magic at her own pace before she branches out.
** In Chapter 13, Luz, Eda, King, Willow, and Gus skip the carnival in favor of [[spoiler:going on a rescue mission to find Quinlan Vos on Kashyyyk]] and Amity accompanies them. During this time, Amity admits why she broke off her friendship with Willow and the two begin anew an episode early.
** In Chapter 14, [[spoiler:Luz's memories are destroyed instead of Willow's, Boscha is the one to cause it and Amity and Willow are the ones who need to repair the damage to Luz's mind while also witnessing memories of her past during and before the Clone Wars.]]
** In Chapter 16, [[spoiler:Luz is chosen to be Grom Queen instead of Amity and the two girls start their relationship much earlier than in Season 2, planning to take things one day at a time]].
** In Chapter 19, [[spoiler:Luz, after avoiding all of Boscha's pranks towards her, challenges her to a one-on-one witch's duel instead of a grudgby match in Willow's defense, which Luz wins. Luz also learns after the duel that Boscha has unrequited feelings for Amity.]]
