** He sighs and brushes those feelings away as he adjusts the tie on his new Namimori Middle uniform. Perhaps he’s more a blank slate than he thought he’d be at this age, but it’s still so much better than the alternative. No reputation is definitely better than a bad reputation, and he doesn’t just have Kyoko, he has Brother and Hana, and…sort of Hibari, he guesses. It’s not perfect, but he’s happy, and not everyone can say that. Besides, without some kind of gigantic shift in his life, he doubts anything could really make it any better.

* ShoutOut: Obviously to Manga/YamadaKunAndTheSevenWitches.
* StuffBlowingUp: Any scene with Gokudera. And Bianchi.
* TakesAThirdOption: Rather than not kissing Tsuna forever, or having to sneak around kissing Tsuna, [[spoiler: Kyoko publicly kisses Tsuna in order to justify their bodyswapping. Reborn is amused.]] Also, rather than poisoning Kyoko's cake while baking or while Tsuna is receiving it, Bianchi poisons ''every single cake'' in order to get to Tsuna.

**[[spoiler: Also a reason why Bianchi swaps with Kyoko, rather than with Tsuna. Gokudera doesn't catch it until he realises the cake's gone purple...]]

* BodySurf: Tsuna does this, and Reborn's gone even sharper at detecting who is who. It helps that while Tsuna's good at ActingForTwo, the rest, especially Yamamoto and Hibari, aren't stellar.

** Bianchi's arrival: Bianchi attempts to poison Tsuna through the use of her cans of soda, his mother's meals. [[spoiler: after home economics, rather than risking Yamamoto, Tsuna is shot with the will to eat all of them. In Bianchi's body. Hana is surprised that he can think it long enough.]]

** ''All except Hana, who is perfectly happy to stay where she is, writing in her notebook, mindless of the smoke and screams to stop, smirking to herself.“Don’t say I didn’t warn you.”''

* EnfanteTerrible: Lambo appears, and throws a grenade at Reborn. Yamamoto bats it out of the school together.

* FailedASpotCheck: Yamamoto and his Mafia Game. He thinks of the various projectiles that Bianchi could use and envision them as balls he could hit with his bat.

** FirstLawOfGenderBending: Averted. GenderBending, or more precisely FreakyFridayFlip, is mostly a mean to an end.

** FirstLawOfGenderBending: Averted. GenderBending, or more precisely FreakyFridayFlip, is mostly a mean means to an end.

* HairyHammerspace: Lambo's hair.

** Bianchi, Gokudera, and explosions. Enough said.

* LethalChef: Bianchi
** ''“Culinary. Kills?” Hana repeats. Tsuna nods. “CULINARY. KILLS?”“…Yeah.”“CULINARY FREAKIN-“'' Hana goes through a BlueScreenOfDeath moment in disbelief.

* OutOfCharacterAlert: How Nana (and later Reborn) are using to tell the difference between the bodyswappers. Tsuna avoids this on Hana's recommendation by being more like Kyoko in personality.

* OutOfCharacterAlert: How Nana (and later Reborn) are using to tell the difference between the bodyswappers. Tsuna avoids this on Hana's recommendation by being more like Kyoko in personality. Hibari isn't even trying.
** When Reborn interrupts his routine to bring Tsuna a warning, Tsuna ''knows'' it's trouble.

** Bianchi: To save Yamamoto from an onslaught of poisonous cakes, Tsuna-Bianchi eats them all up instead. Not exactly the first kiss she's had, but well...

* AdaptationalExpansion: It discusses the constant swapping of bodies and its effect on both Tsuna's psyche. Due to having to imitate everyone at one point or another, Tsuna finds that while others have a certain personality he can follow, he becomes unforgettable.

* AbsurdlyPowerfulStudentCouncil: What Hibari's Disciplinary Committee is. He still can't get past the police blockade [[spoiler: which is why Tsuna's power is so useful to him.]]
* AccidentalKiss: What kickstarted the plot.
* AdaptationalExpansion: It discusses the constant swapping of bodies and its effect on both Tsuna's psyche. Due to having to imitate everyone at one point or another, Tsuna finds that while others have a certain personality he can follow, he becomes unforgettable.
* ArmorPiercingQuestion: Reborn states the gaping concern with the constant swapping of bodies.
** ''At least if you were Dame you'd know who you were. Instead you're just a nobody…"''
* AuthorityEqualsAsskicking: Hibari wants this. Unfortunately, the Police object to this. Hence, Hibari willingly swaps with Tsuna (and the rest of the bodyswapping circle) to get around the blockade.
* BeneathSuspicion: What Hibari finds out after Tsuna swaps with him in order to defend Kyoko.
**''It’s such a…ridiculous spiel of words that Hibari’s brain almost shuts down. He wants to bite Kirishima to death for insulting him in such a matter. Doesn’t he realise who he’s…talking…to…Hibari’s eyes flicker over to the patrol car, and makes out the blurry reflection staring back at him.The police don’t recognise him. …Which means they won’t stop him.''
* BewareTheNiceOnes: And vice versa. Kyoko the Amazon princess indeed...
* BlatantLies: Reborn does this when Tsuna [[spoiler: questions if he wants to swap bodies. The shine of the Pacifier jerks him away from this chain of thought.]]
* BokeAndTsukkomiRoutine: Hana plays the StraightMan to many of her friends' antics.
* BookDumb: Tsuna experiences this. Even Hana, when swapped into Tsuna's body, cannot study properly in his body. They reason it has to be due to his body and not its ability. [[spoiler: It's due to the Ninth's Seal. ]]
* CallBack: To canon, multiple times.
**Reborn flying to Japan once Tsuna hits middle school.
**Gokudera's explosion: [[spoiler: Instead of using Dying Will Mode to snuff out the dynamite as per canon, Tsuna swaps with Gokudera and take the brunt of the damage. They find out that he can't swap when unconscious.]]
**Yamamoto's suicide: [[spoiler: Instead of using Dying Will Mode to rescue Yamamoto, Tsuna attempts to rescue him by swapping. Reborn is able to figure the swap and shoots Yamamoto's body--so that Tsuna can land safely. Yamamoto is seen as the one to save him though, and the reaction to the suicide is different from canon.]]
* CharacterDevelopment: The Pre-Daily Life Arc: Tsuna starts losing his 'uselessness'. But the end result isn't happy.
* CliffHanger: Done at the end of chapter 10.
** ''He doesn’t have time to process the action, as his doppelganger grabs his jacket and tosses him out of the blast radius just before the bombs explode. The last thing he sees is the not-him crashing to the ground from the blast’s impact, before his head hits the ground and everything goes dark.''
* ContrivedCoincidence: Tsuna kissing Kyoko while falling from the jungle gym? How did they ''not'' whack each other in the face?
* CurbStompBattle: What Hana thought would happen by taking over Ryohei's body in order to deal with Kyoko's problem. She ends up guilty for not thinking things through and needing Tsuna to rescue her.
* CursedWithAwesome: It's a family curse passed down along Nana's line. Iemitsu doesn't know about it, which is why Reborn was surprised when he found a Mist Flame and mildly panics about it.
* DeadpanSnarker: Reborn. Tsuna and Hana at certain moments as well.
* DefeatMeansFriendship: Gokudera. He is ''immensely guilty'' after hearing Tsuna's ability and the fact that he sacrificed himself to kill him.
* DisappearedDad: Why Iemitsu doesn't know this.
* DoWellButNotPerfect: Tsuna's attitude towards life. Reborn appears the next day.
* DudeShesLikeInAComa: Gokudera attempts this in order to swap back. It doesn't work, easing Reborn's worry that someone might try to kiss the Decimo while he's unconscious in order to gain control over the Vongola.
* DysfunctionJunction: What the bodyswapping group is. Two popular girls, the guy on the lowest rank of the school hierachy, the boxing club leader and Hibari Kyoya...and now the weird foreign exchange student and the baseball ace that tried to attempt suicide. It's canon, but still...
* EverybodyIsSingle: Actually fixes canon. Rather than the 'canon couples' of Tsuna/Kyoko and Tsuna/Haru, this fic shows them to be normal thirteen years old.
* EveryoneIsBi: Most characters have no qualms kissing someone of the same sex. Especially Tsuna, regarding his curse.
* FantasticallyIndifferent: Somehow, the fact that you're kissing another person has no effect on what everyone thinks of the curse.
* FiveManBand: The initial Body Swapping Group:
** TheLeader: Tsuna, the one with the kissing power.
** TheLancer: Kyoko, the one who suggested swapping again.
** TheBigGuy: Ryohei, by virtue of being the main force behind the swapping.
** TheSmartGuy: Hana. She was the one who [[spoiler: Came up with the idea of swapping with Gokudera in order to prevent Tsuna from being Decimo]]
** TheChick: Well, not precisely, but Hibari acts outside of the group. He sees Tsuna and Ryohei as willing swapping partners.
* {{Foreshadowing}}: Reborn's flight to Japan.
* FreakyFridayFlip: What kicked off the plot.
* FriendlessBackground: What Tsuna experiences. He's happy for the friends that the curse brings him, but sometimes wonder if he's losing himself in the process.
* GenderBender: The reason why Hana thinks Tsuna is 'half a monkey'. Tsuna has swapped so often with Kyoko that they have become this.
** FirstLawOfGenderBending: Averted. GenderBending, or more precisely FreakyFridayFlip, is mostly a mean to an end.
** SecondLawOfGenderBending: Supported yet averted. Characters don't markedly enjoy GenderBending more than they want to take another's place or vice versa. However, Kyoko enjoys the benefit that being a boy gives her. Tsuna, on the other hand prefers being Kyoko initially because he does things well.
** ThirdLawOfGenderBending: ''Averted'' While the other characters make use of Tsuna's body to act out where their required roles wouldn't allow them, Tsuna's uselessness is being wound away...to get what, he doesn't know.
* GirlyRun: Tsuna has to perfect this if he needs to play Kyoko well. Nana uses this to tell that Tsuna has swapped with Kyoko.
* IntelligenceEqualsIsolation: Hana may have done this to herself until she met Kyoko. She intends that Tsuna step away so that she can fulfil the role of being Kyoko's best friend. Luckily, it doesn't get too far when Kyoko reveals Tsuna's bodyswapping capabilities.
* InformedAbility: Tsuna doesn't know this, which is why he fails to make use of Hibari's body adequately when facing off against Kyoko's bullies.
* InTheBlood: Tsuna's curse/body swapping ability is inherited from Nana's side. Also applies to canon, as he inherits his Vongola claim from his father. Reborn dissuades them from swapping with another random person, as Tsuna's Sky Flame is rare. [[spoiler: One wonders if Xanxus might be willing to do the switcheroo...]]
* InvisibleParents: Averted. Nana accepts the body swap, and dissuades Reborn from trying to ban it. However, apparently the Sasagawa parents, the Kurokawa parents, and the Hibari parents don't notice that their children have been injured, or swapped with someone else.
* LastNameBasis: Everyone towards Hibari.
* LossOfIdentity: Tsuna is gradually experiencing this as a result of the body swapping.
* LoveConfession: Mochida manages to make this awkward to an art:
** Kyoko has been consistently rejecting his advances.
** Kyoko and Tsuna swapped for the day.
** Kyoko (having been shot with the Dying Will Bullet by an unsuspecting Reborn) ''tells off'' Mochida. The two swap back, and Reborn finds out about Tsuna's bodyswapping capability.
** A humilated Mochida challenges Tsuna
** He announces that Kyoko is a prize.
** [[spoiler: Not the embarrassed character of canon, Kyoko ''kisses'' Tsuna in public, leading to the two swapping again. A bemused Reborn shoots her with the Dying Will Bullet, and Kyoko lays the beatdown on him.]]
* MagneticHero: Tsuna gathers a range of friends as a result of his capability.
* MagicAIsMagicA: Hana attempts to establish this for the curse. They find out new facets of it as more incidents pile up.
* MagicKiss: How Tsuna uses his powers.
* ManIFeelLikeAWoman: Tsuna and Kyoko panic when they see themselves in each other's body. The author comments that it might have been established as a dream by the two of them had Kyoko not wanted to do it again.
* MuggleBestFriend: Kyoko and the rest have no powers. Doesn't mean they don't know how to utilise Tsuna's powers to the full potential. Don't expect this for long though, Dying Will Flames are being introduced.
* NoSell: Bodyswapping works when Tsuna is kissing someone asleep, but not when Gokudera is trying to revive an unconscious Tsuna.
* NotCheatingUnlessYouGetCaught: Hana uses this on Ryohei and Tsuna in order to get him to pass their tests. She laments that she is not helping Yamamoto, due to the physical impossibility of being in two bodies at one time.
* OutOfCharacterAlert: How Nana (and later Reborn) are using to tell the difference between the bodyswappers. Tsuna avoids this on Hana's recommendation by being more like Kyoko in personality.
* ThePowerOfFriendship: Tsuna thinks that if it weren't for his curse, he would not be friends with so many others. Others beg to differ.
* PowerWalk: Hibari does this.
* SacredFirstKiss:
** Kyoko and Tsuna at five years old. Both of them panic. Ryohei is ''furious''. The Sasagawas are a little upset. Nana is pleased.
** Ryohei: While he is sleeping, Tsuna steals a kiss in order to re-swap with Kyoko in order for Kyoko to confront her brother's seniors.
** Hana: In an argument about [[TheReveal how to break it to Hana]], Tsuna ( in Kyoko's body ) kisses her to convince her. Hana is disgusted, then thoughtful.
** Hibari: Attempting to protect Kyoko and Hana, Tsuna resorts to this. Hibari is about to bite Tsuna to death until he realizes that he can evade patrol. He then uses it to his advantage.
** Gokudera: [[spoiler: To protect Gokudera, Tsuna attempts this. A shocked yet grateful Gokudera attempts to swap back only for it to fail. Hana teases him over it.]]
** Yamamoto: Tsuna has been attempting to kiss him, but others have been attempting to dissuade him from doing so. [[spoiler: His Dying Will Mode promptly does that, and Yamamoto experiences one day without having to be the baseball ace.]]
* SanityBall: Hana thinks she is holding this. Tsuna is this on occasion.
* ShoutOut: Obviously to Manga/YamadaKunAndTheSevenWitches.
* TakesAThirdOption: Rather than not kissing Tsuna forever, or having to sneak around kissing Tsuna, [[spoiler: Kyoko publicly kisses Tsuna in order to justify their bodyswapping. Reborn is amused.]]
* SixthRanger: In terms of knowledge of bodyswapping, Reborn is this.
* SlidingScaleOfProactiveness: Tsuna is on the lower end of this scale, while Hana and Reborn are on the upper end.
* SpannerInTheWorks: Kyoko to Reborn's plans. From being in Tsuna's body during the first shot of the Dying Will Bullet, to swapping with Tsuna publicly [[spoiler: in order to fight Mochida]]. This necessitates Reborn having to include the bodyswapping group in planning Tsuna's tor-tutoring. Hana is this to Reborn as well.
* StaircaseTumble: Jungle Gym tumble is what kickstarts this plot.
* StoryArc: We are in the Daily Life Arc.
* ThereAreNoTherapists: Tsuna hasn't discussed his eroding identity with anyone else. Also, Yamamoto's attempted suicide.
* TwoGirlsAndAGuy: Kyoko and Hana to Tsuna. Later on, this is averted as more guys join in on the bodyswapping.
* TwoGirlsToATeam: Kyoko and Hana to the rest of the gang.
* TwoGuysAndAGirl: What Ryohei and Tsuna are to Kyoko.
* WhenSheSmiles: Kyoko to Tsuna.
