Bakugou Katsuki killed all of his potentially achievable dreams. Something that Izuku himself was aware of. It was a fantasy that made the world a bit more bearable as days, months and years passed in a blurry. Nothing more.

That is, until his superpower awakens. The Dawn of Quirks is starting, and with it the era of superheroes and supervillains. As the world as he knows it is heading to inevitable collapse, Izuku is going to do his best to save as many people as he can.

This entire description was plagarized from both AO 3 and FF.net.

Izuku Midoriya always dreamed of becoming a superhero. Of fighting supervillains and saving people with a superpower to call his own. Except, the world he was born into was one devoid of superpowers. The Japan he lived in was not one of capes, masks and catchprases, but one of post-war chaos, collapsing economy and police struggling to maintain even vestiges of control over the cities in the wake of a raise in criminal activity and collapse in funding.

It was a dream that couldn't come to fruition. A dream born of escapism, desire to help others and a weak health that together with Bakugou Katsuki killed all of his potentially achievable dreams. Something that Izuku himself was aware of. It was a fantasy that made the world a bit more bearable as days, months and years passed in a blurry. Nothing more.

Everything changed when Izuku Midoriya awoke a genuine superpower. Dawn of Quirks has began, and with it, the age of supervillains and superheroes. As the society around him slowly collapses, Izuku will do his best to save as many people as he can. Despite the world of superheroes being way more complicated, dangerous and painful than he ever imagined.

The entire cast of MHA has the distinct misfortune of being born way earlier. Just in time to witness the Dawn of Quirks. Izuku Midoriya awakens a powerful telekinetic quirk... and, being the superhero fanboy, he decides to become one. And he won't let his broken body, lack of funds, and the on-going collapse of the country around him stop him from achieving his dream.

Izuku always dreamed of being a superhero. Something hard to achieve with a broken body, in the world where superpowers do not exist and in a country recently ravaged by war. Until he suddenly develops a genuine superpower. Dawn of Quirks is upon them, and the clock is ticking until the end of the world as they know it. [probably the most serious of all the works here except for Exiting the Stage, expect no crack here, a lot of angst... and heroism in spite of it]

* AdaptationalVillainy: The villains in this story tend to take much more horrific actions than in canon. Many And instead of being in a society were Heroes are seen as champions, and All Might like the number One Paragon and Winner above all, this is a post [[World War III]] society were crime runs rampant, and the police barely can do their job. So many characters are also members of villain groups as opposed to heroes in canon.canon.
** Katsuki by not growing up with héroes or All Might to admire, is left only with the worst of his presonality, to the point that Izuku hates is guts, his family has disowned him, and other characters are horrorised when they know of his actions to the point of compare them with war crimes.
** [[spoiler: Burnin (called Blaze and later Firestorm in this story ) is a first generation quirk user, which makes her mentally unstable, and a pyromaniac with no worries for the safety of others.]]
** [[spoiler: Kaminari is loyal to a clan of yakusa that took him in after his quirk manifested]]

** Toga and Shinsou are a couple.
* AdaptationalWimp: Many characters that had quirks in canon are common people here (the term quirless still doesn’t exist) included but not limited to: Hawks, Death Arms, Yagi Toshinori, Kurono, Midnight, Present Mic, Recovery Girl, Enji Todoroki, etc.

* BreakTheScientist: Mei is this initially to the appearance of quirks that defy logic.

to:

* AscendedExtra: lots of characters that barely appeared in canon are more central to the story in this fic, included but not limited to: Shinso, Overhaul, Mei.
* AwesomenessByAnalysis: Izuku is a superhero nerd and very good at analyze quirks, which makes him the closest thing to an expert in meta-abilities in this setting.
* BackFromTheDead: Overhaul can use his quirk to [[DeathIsCheap revive his troops]], but only in a timelapse of 20 ish minutes after their death, and the person revived has to rest for a while after coming back to life.

Added DiffLines:

* AllAccordingToPlan: Averted/Subverted. In a number of engagements some unexpected variable is going to show up and ruin somebody's plan. Like Overhaul being nearby while Izuku is trying to rescue Eri or when Overhaul's plan to take over a district fails to eliminate all resistance due to his forces not following along.

Added DiffLines:

* CardboardPrison: Discussed and defied by Tartarus. Izuku, Aizawa, Sasaki, and Torino all work together to develop a system that can keep villains in proper containment based on their danger level.

Added DiffLines:

* GambitPileup: In a war between multiple chessmasters this can occur in many battles. Especially the Mountain Raid.

* CompleteMonster: Overhaul allows his minions to do as they please regardless of how horrible it is so long as they remain loyal to him. He even allowed them to wipe out an entire village after they had just been freed in an absolute Kick the Dog moment.

* {{Troll}}: Shoto is far more one in this story than in canon.

to:

* NakedPeopleAreFunny: Tsuyu due to growing up in the wilderness, much to Izuku's embarrassment at times.
* PersonalityPowers: Played for Drama. Numerous first generation quirk users are unstable and destructive due to their uncontrollable quirks compared to the more stable younger ones. This has also resulted in several heroes in canon being villains like Burnin.
* TheChessmaster: Overhaul, Izuku, Aizawa, Sasaki, [[spoiler:Destro]], Kurioro, and countless others are all very intelligent and able to plan and understand the logistics and shifts in power that are coming. Pretty much a staple of all Mirrond's works.
* TheTeam: How Izuku initially starts out by gaining allies and forming The Network. Initially he has Mei as Mission Control and then recruits Tsuyu, Ochako, Kirishima, and Mina. He also parties up with Jirou, Eclipse(Mieko), Hitoshi, Toga later on to help build the base. Later additions include Momo, Shoto, Inasa, Reiko, Rabbit, and many others.
