* INeedAFrakingDrink: While not seen on-screen, all the adult members of the inner circle (including Hawks on one occasion), have reached out behind Kurogiri's bar after missions. Izuku, having never tasted anything alcoholic before, is under the impression that alcohol is a satisfying beverage, if everyone is using it to calm their nerves.

* InSpiteOfANail: Even though All For One has been out of action for over a decade and Tenko never joined him, there's still a group using Noumus and causing the attacks on both the USJ and Hosu. [[spoiler:Later the UA Summer Boot camp gets attacked as well.]]

** Izuku got One For All ten months earlier than in-canon, which means that he is far more capable when handling the quirk. This is best showcased when he [[spoiler:gets Black Whip prior to the Summer Camp raid, and is a borderline InstantExpert with it.]]

** Shouto meets Izuku shortly after his initial encounter with All Might, and by that point they have known each other for an unclarified ammount of time. In canon, Izuku met Shoto ten months after that.

** Lemillion makes his first appearance [[spoiler:during the Harbor incident]], which was a few weeks prior to the UA Summer camp. In canon, he showed up along with Sir Nighteye.

* {{Imprinting}}: Discussed by Dabi when he says that All For One has "little duckling syndrome" and latched on Izuku.

* PoorCommunicationKills: All Might's inability to find Izuku again after the boy tricks him into giving him One For All stems from the fact he barely spoke to the boy when they first met and didn't even get his name. This is further compounded by All Might attempting to find Izuku through Katsuki but not telling him why, or even how critically important it is, causing Katsuki to grow jealous and lie that he'd never met Izuku before.

* FawltyTowersPlot: When Katsuki lies to All Might about knowing Izuku, his father explains that he can ''never'' let anyone know he lied. Because Katsuki is an exemplar, he's held to a ''far'' higher standard and such a thing could ruin his career at a minimum.

** At one point Kurogiri wraps Hawks into his bar while he and All For One are talking about finding Gigantomachia. They never mention him by name, so Hawks is left with the impression that they're talking about finding a ''dog''.

** Dabi cares about his family, except Endeavor, and regularly asks Shoto how their siblings are doing.

* ApologeticAttacker: Defied. Izuku's initial urge is to apologize to those he attacks, but he stops himself when he realizes that an apology means "I won't do it again" and he has every intention of doing it again if needed.

* GreekChorus: [[spoiler:The Vestiges become this after awakening at the Harbor Incident, though their appearances are sporadic.]]

*** His original name is Shigaraki [[spoiler:Hizashi]].
*** He went by [[spoiler:Midoriya Hizashi when married with Inko.]]

** The pro heroes who are specifically funded by the Hero Commision are usually there to do their dirty work. It ranges all the way from WhiteAndBlackInsanity ([[spoiler:Stain]]) to ToBeLawfulOrGood to straight up Black.

* MythologyGag: Several of the members of the League of Villains are from ''Manga/MyHeroAcademiaVigilantes''.

* NoodleIncident: According to Hawks, breaking into his apartment to leave an offering of his favorite food wouldn't be the craziest thing a fan has ever done.

* TheRunaway: Shouto first meets Izuku when he tries to run away from home. Izuku talks him out of it by pointing out [[DidnThinkThisThrough how rash this decision was]] and how Shouto is not capable of taking care of himself at him current state, and his father is famous so it would create a whole lot of issues.

** Random Guy, a robber named Ken who repeatedly attempt to [[MuggingTheMonster mug pro heroes and villains]] with absolutely no success.

* UncannyValey: InUniverse, [[spoiler:Michael]] of the League of Villains. This trope is namedropped as he's described as someone who "feels wrong, in ways that are hard to perceive", and that there are thousands little ways in which his proportions seem wrong but not immedietely obvious to the average person.

** A vigilante who killed a deadly villain at the cost of her own life had actually survived and was assassinated by the government while she was being treated.

* AdaptationalVillainy: While the Hero Commission has done a few shady things in canon, they're nowhere near the borderline Orwellian state that ''Anyone'' has them at. Their first action in the story proper is to [[spoiler:kidnap Eri to force her to become a [[TykeBomb Paragon]]]]. They also regularly cover up the crimes of corrupt heroes like Nightmare, employ torture, hire criminals to kill heroes they dislike, and allow members to abuse their authority over regular citizens.
** Given what has been revealed in recent chapters it can no longer be considered adaptational, the HPSC is very much a corrupt government.

* ArbitraryScepticism: All Might throws the hypothesis that [[spoiler:Izuku stole the second quirk (Black Whip) from All For One.]] Gran Torino reminds him that it's impossible [[spoiler:to steal a quick from All For One]], but All Might replies that they thought stealing One For All was also impossible and look where that go them. Then again, All Might's hypothesis is wrong, but he has no way of knowing that.

* AttackTheInjury: Due to Izuku not being a UA student in this fic, during the exam Bakugo gets paired up with Shouto in the fight against All Might. Shoto, in a display of CombatPragmatist, exploits the info given to him by Izuku to attack All Might cripling injury and buy them time.

** All For One doesn't like it when someone touches his family, especially Izuku. Just asks the guy who stole their money, or better yet [[spoiler: ask Nightmare, who brutalizes Izuku]]... Oh wait, they're both dead.

* BridalCarry: [[spoiler:Kurogiri wraps Izuku outside the fire perimeter of the UA camp site, and straight into Muscular's arms.]]

* CassandraTruth: Played for laughs; Dabi is under the impression that Shouto is joking when relaying some of the incidents prior to him joining, such as Izuku accidentally freeing All For One from prison or him and Shouto helping plant drugs in a pro-hero's car. He's horrified to realize that they're not joking at all. Izuku wonders how come the aspiring father-killing pyromaniac is the OnlySaneMan.

** Shouto is noted by Aizawa and Stain to have a particularly brutal approach to fighting (though Stain only sees the aftermath of his ice quirk). Aizawa attributes this to Shouto being trained by Endeavor.

* DeclarationOfProtection: Izuku makes it perfectly clear to All For One that if he tries to kill any Anyone members of All Might, there'll be hell to pay.

* HeroicBSOD: Nana receives a massive one when she realizes [[spoiler:All For One has found and married her daughter, Inko, and Izuku is her grandchild.]]

* IHaveManyNames: Izuku has numerous aliases for different roles, and only Shohto and All For One call him by his real name:
** "Anyone" is his official villain name, which he uses to address his server as the leader of the group.
** "[=SmallMight1541=]" is his "civilian" user name in the Anyone servers, posing as someone who helps with quirk analysis.
** "Akatani Mikumo" is the public identity he crafted to enroll in school.
** "Yami" is the name he goes by when talking to Dabi and Kurogiri.
** The "vigilante of Hosu" is a title given to him by the authorities, as they are not aware that the person who stopped Stain and Anyone are one and the same.
** "Thief" is how All Might and his allies call him, as they are focused on the "stole One For All" aspect.

* {{Bathos}}: The ending of Chapter 38 has Kouta undergoing a panic attack as he realizes that the man who killed his parents, Muscular, is right in front of him... at which point Izuku falls out of the sky thanks to Kurogiri warping him a distance away from the camp, with Muscular instinctively catching him. Kouta and Muscular can only dumbfoundedly point when Izuku asks where the training camp is without acknowledging what just happened save for a mutter about killing Kurogiri.

* HiddenDepths: Midnight may be known as the "R-rated heroine", but she and her Midnight Boys are looking for runaway minors and orphans and help place them in good, functional families away from their abusive environments.

* GildedCage: Eri is put in one in Tartarus once the Government discovers her Quirk. Fortunately, Izuku breaks her out.
* HenpeckedHusband: [[spoiler:All For One isn't reunited with Inko yet, but the fact that his first reaction to hearing her voice on the phone is to dive for cover behind a couch, it's easy to see who wears the pants in the relationship.]]
* HiddenDepths: Hanabata is portrayed almost exclusively as a manipulative bitch for the Hero Commision, speaking carefully and dressed as the perfect image of a professional, up until the aftermath of [[spoiler:the Harbor Disaster]]. She shows up for the next day's meeting in jeans and an old rock-band t-shirt, clearly too tired to care, and tells everyone else not to bother dressing up either. She's still is a manipulative bitch but she very much has her limits.

* CnflictingLoyalty: Kurogiri originally was a part of All For One's organization, but after his supposed death he joined Anyone. However, ever since All For One broke out, his loyalty towards him very oftenly results in relaying information about Anyone that put them in an increasingly difficult position. For example, [[spoiler:he's the one who told All For One about All Might's presence during the Harbor Disaster, and he actively hinders Izuku when he requests to be wrapped to the UA Summer Camp by sending him outside the fire perimeter.]]

* FramingTheGuiltyParty: In one of Anyone's "help someone escape their abusive boyfriend/girlfriend" operations, the abusive boyfriend attempts to run over the volunteers with their car. They suggest reporting this to the police, but the ex-girlfriend reveals he's a pro. So the volunteers from Anyone decide to deal with this by planting drugs in his car that they aquired from a previous "abusive girlfriend" operation and have the police arrest him for that.

* SkewedPriorities: Izuku was more worried about whether or not Dabi got a good deal to serve as All For One's mole than the actual fact that he was serving as TheMole.

* HigherUnderstandingThroughDrugs: [[spoiler:The only times Izuku manages to get in contact with the vestiges in One For All is either under the effects of brainwashing or through drugs. Meditation completely fails. He breifly considers taking pills before deciding that alcohol is a better solution. However, alcohol does not work either.]]

* BerserkButton: All For One doesn't like it when someone touches his family, especially Izuku. Just asks the guy who stole their money, or better yet [[spoiler: ask Nightmare, who brutalizes Izuku]]... Oh wait, they're both dead.

** Electricity quirks are this for Izuku because a classmate electrocuted him once while he was in elementary school. [[spoiler:This means he has difficulties controlling Black Whip for a while.]]

** [[spoiler:All Might is forced to adopt this sttitude when fighting All For One, who is significantly stronger than him. He uses the debris including the stuff All For One is throwing at him as weapons, moves slowly but with calculated motions to conserve energy, etc.]]

* VillainRespect: Izuku still respect heroes and the work they do. Despite being on the other side of the law, he appreciates their role in mainting order and the work they do.

* WellIntentionedExtremist: [[spoiler:Nana Smimura tells Izuku that she confuses him, because while the actions of Anyone as a group and their purpose are undoubtedly heroic, the means Izuku uses - stealling One For All, deeply hurting All Might, the crimes - are villainous actions.]]

* ThePowerOfHate: Besides logically knowing it isn't real, what helps Izuku break past Nightmare's fear Quirk is years of anger and hatred which he uses to (temporarily) drown out his fear.

* TerrorHero: Nightmare. His quirk shows people their worst fears, with the people he interrogates often ending up with [[DiseaseBleach white hair]], and he isn't afraid to use it on a kid or even his own family.

* WifeBasherBasher: There's a group in the servers of Anyone that specializes in helping people escape their abusive partners or spouses.

* StevenUlyssesPerhero: At one point, Izuku asks his father why so many people have names related to their Quirks and is told that initially people actually changed their names to match their Quirks. Since Quirks are usually inherited from ones parents, eventually it just became normal.

** Ashido thinks that the person Shouto was talking to prior to the UA Sports festival was a significant other. It was actually his brother.

** In their last ever meeting, Izuku flips over Bakugu and places his heel on Bakugu's wrist, both of them knowing all too well that if Izuku chose to, he could break Bakugu's wrists right there and then, and he would never be able to use his quirk again without excruciating pain. He doesn't go through with it, but that moment haunts Bakugu for the rest of the fic.

* NonIndicativeName: Bakugu comments that Sir Nighteye has probably never been knighted.
