* BadBoss: Affluous, between shocking his employees, underpaying them, and refusing to remember their names, is a horrible boss on pretty much every level.

* HateSink: Jhiaxus is a creepy, sleazy, sexist, bigoted CorruptPolitician who openly desires to lobotomize Arcee. WordOfGod even states that he's deliberately written to be as unlikable as possible, and later stating that he's more or less the answer to whether it's possible for someone to be more repugnant than ''Adam Taurus''.

* AmicableExes: Subverted. In the first Spotlight chapter, it's confirmed that Ratchet and Drift used to be a couple. However, they're shown arguing and bickering, with Bumblebee even commenting that the fallout of their break-up was a nasty one.

* BattleCouple: Arcee and Greenlight form one during Winter's Spotlight chapter. The two even flirt amidst a battle with the Decepticons, much to Clampdown's annoyance.

** Rampage is a member of Razorclaw’s inner circle like the G1 Character, but his bond with Transmutate comes from the Beast Wars character.

* RecycledInSpace: The author says that the original basis for the series was that it's Film/{{Bumblebee}}…[[WebAnimation/{{RWBY}} ON REMNANT!]]

* DramaticIrony: When discussing the odd behavior of the Grimm (ignoring an Autobot that hasn't scanned an alt-mode native to Remnant yet, prioritizing attacking humans over Cybertronians in general, etc.), it's suggested that they're being manufactured by someone to attack humanity. Not knowing about Salem's existence though, the assumption is that Megatron is the one behind it.

* ForWantOfANail:
** Yang helping Bumblebee search for his homing beacon leads to them having an encounter with Blake, Adam, and several White Fang well before they originally met in canon.
** Unlike canon, Adam [[spoiler:rejects Cinder's initial offer to join them and also pulls the plug on the train heist from the Black Trailer]].
** Thanks to Starscream's intervention, [[spoiler:Cinder's first attempt at taking the Fall Maiden's powers works perfectly, resulting in Amber getting killed and Cinder having the full power far before she canonically got them]].
** Her battle with Dropkick in Chapter 14 leads to Yang [[spoiler:losing her right arm much earlier, along with her gaining permanent scarring across her face]].

* OneSteveLimit: [[AvertedTrope Averted]]. It causes a bit of confusion for Tai when Bee starts talking about the Great War for Cybertron since it shares the same name as Remnant's Great War from 80 years prior.

* YouCannotKillAnIdea: Galvatron, while mortally wounded, uses his abilities to become an idea exactly for this reason.

* {{Foil}}: Bumblebee and Adam as far as how they treat their partners. Adam is nothing but abusive and manipulative towards Blake while Bumblebee is caring and brotherly towards Yang. This is reflected after their first battle, as a scene of Adam violently reprimanding Blake for her failure is immediately juxtaposed by Bumblebee caring for Yang and carrying her to safety. WordOfGod even states that Bumblebee's present-self is [[HypotheticalCasting voiced by Adam's voice actor, Garret Hunter]], to further play up the differences between the two.

* AlwaysChaoticEvil: Subverted. Jazz clarifies to Goodwitch that not all Quintessons are villainous, with the Ark having a heroic, of grumpy, one as a member of their crew, and the most noble among them are noted to be fun in conversation.

* FullCircleRevelution: The Decepticons began as the Ascenticons in a crusade against the ruling Functionist system. But they ended up becoming the very same monsters they once opposed, even going so far as to do similar things they previously condemned.
