He is an enemy of the Shadow Queen, and tries to help the protagonists. According to the Queen, his real name is Adrian, and she considers him enough of a threat to deal with personally. In the remake, the card Noble Knight Artorigus (which the Queen does not like for some reason and has made illegal to own on Arcadia) is important to him.

One Thousand years ago, an evil sorceress known as the Shadow Queen attempted to TakeOverTheWorld. Fortunately, [[TheChosenOne Three legendary heroes]] fought the Shadow Queen in the Palace of Shadows and won. However, seeing as they couldn't kill her, they did the next best thing: they cursed her, preventing her from leaving the Palace forever.

* BerserkButton: Do not call Ruklamba the Spirit King a Spirit monster.

* CurseEscapeClause: As mentioned above, if the Queen or anyone working for her, whether they want to or not, defeats Stan, Fran, and Andy in a fair contest, the spell is lifted and the Queen can leave.

* EvenEvilHasStandards: Vladmir. He surprises Andy, Fran, and Stan with his lack of threats. Not only does he also pay for lunch, he gave a pretty good tip.
** Ruklamba calls out the Queen for not letting him use Ojama Delta Thunder!![[note]]Ojama Delta Thunder!! is an anime only spell that can only be activated when Ojama's Yellow, Green, and Black are on the field. WHen cast, it deals 500 damage to the opponent for every card in their hand and on their field. Then to add insult to injury, the caster can send a Ojama Delta Hurricane!! from their hand or deck to wipe toe opponents field. It's pretty broken[[/note]]. Her logic is that since her cover is that of a tournament, she has to use the rules of one, and that means using the Forbiden/Limited list.

* ThemeNaming: Each chapter is named after a card in the game, which has been a part of Cyber Commander's works since ''Yu gi oh! Dark Messiah" but this is only present in ''Redux''. The origional story did not have theme nameing becuase it came before ''Dark Messiah''.
