This story is an unfortunate one. It had heaps of potential yet it fell short due to poor writing and poor execution. The story became predictable and out of character for most characters. This story tried too hard for the shock factor that it forgot important plot points. For Example, the story often forgets important plot points, such as several murders in favor for pointless romance that only distracted from the plot. The story seemed to do anything to dwindle from the main plot points, thus when we do get some form of plot progression, it feels like connivence the musical. The Authors have repeatedly stated that they do find the romance more interesting than the plot, thus putting way too much time into the B plot rather than the A Plot. So it makes you wonder if the whole premise was only thought of in order to force a romance between the two leads.

Since it's initial release, the story was reviewed twice by two different Tumblr Blogs (Both of which, are now inactive.) Since these reviews, the backlash behind the story began to grow. This is argued to be why the fic had been deleted in late 2014. Since then, a rewrite of the story has surfaced by popular demand. The author of this story (Nine Stupid Little Killers) is the mod of one the blogs who reviews the original fic. The story has been receiving positive reviews.

A short summarization: In a somewhat altered universe, all seems peaceful until a nation-killer rises, shocking all the countries of the world into a paranoid hysteria. [[YouMeddlingKids Italy, Germany and Japan]] team up to solve the case, while America hides some shady secrets about his home life with his boss and brother, China is forced to face a destructive force beyond his denial, and England and Japan attempt to keep their fellow countries sane despite their own inner demons. Nevertheless, as the world begins to crumble around them, it may prove difficult for the nations to keep both their lives and reason as [[BigBad faceless villain Black]] and his devoted seven followers start the process of the world’s end.

Despite the bucket-loads of NightmareFuel here due to extreme amounts of gore and violence, it's truly a work of art, and is now all but exhalted in the [[Webcomic/AxisPowersHetalia Hetalia]] fandom as a brilliantly written mystery that keeps its readers on their toes.

Unfortunately, as of late 2014, the story has been deleted.
