* The ''NewspaperComics/{{Doonesbury}}'' story line depicting B.D.'s loss of a leg (and helmet) in Iraq and his subsequent physical and emotional recovery was pretty neat. B.D. gets a lot of characterization and his frustration and depression feel very real. Plus even with the rather dark material (post-traumatic stress disorder, physical disability, anger) the strip still manages to make the story hilarious while also treating its characters with compassion.
