* Pauline from WesternAnimation/AtomicPuppet. Despite only being in a handful of episodes, her sassy and sarcastic attitude, surprising badassery, and cute design have made her very popular with fans.

* WesternAnimation/ChalkZones BigBad Skrawl is probably the most popular character in the fandom, despite only appearing in a handful of episodes. It can probably be attributed to his menacing personality and fantastic voice work by Creator/JimCummings.

It can probably be attributed to his menacing personality and fantastic voice work the fact that he is voiced by Creator/JimCummings.Creator/JimCummings. There are a number of people who watch the show solely for him, despite his appearances being infrequently enough to be counted on one hand.

* Despite appearing in only five episodes, Cheese from WesternAnimation/FostersHomeForImaginaryFriends is one of the most well-liked characters, dominating most of the merchandise of the show. This is likely because the target audience is young, and Cheese is TheDitz. Later became a BaseBreakingCharacter for being given increased exposure and having his goofball tendencies ationed to Millstone levels.

** Zapp Brannigan. Despite not being a member of the central cast, pretty much everything he has said has achieved MemeticMutation in the fandom.

* On WesternAnimation/JimmyTwoShoes, Heloise is definitely the most popular character in the fandom, largely because she's an AxCrazy EnfantTerrible with the hots for Jimmy. Saffi is a close second and even better: a CrazyAwesome CuteMonsterGirl who provides some serious fanservice. She's only been in a handful of episodes, but she's extremely popular.

** Heckapoo, to the point where she became one of the most popular pairing with Marco after the events of "Running with Scissors".

* EnsembleDarkhorse/StevenUniverse

* WesternAnimation/StevenUniverse:
** Ruby and Sapphire, mainly because they just look so darn cute together and are a confirmed Gem pairing that explicitly love each other. They don't appear too often, but when they do fans are definitely happy to see them.
** Sadie's consistently the most liked of the Beach City side cast. The vast majority of the side characters have their fans, but her snarky, upbeat, OnlySaneMan role made her stand out. She'd later prove to be a BadassNormal as the first human to take out a Gem monster by herself, and have a endearingly shy personality when she's nervous.
** Blue and Yellow Diamond's . They've only appeared on screen for about a minute, combined, and one of them doesn't even talk, but they amassed loads of fanart soon after their debuts.
** Mystery Girl/S from the episode "Last One Out of Beach City". She's a cool, attractive biker girl with the punk look going on with pink hair, who quickly grabs Pearl's attention when her, Amethyst, and Steven go to a rock concert. Her fantastic character design, sheer mysteriousness as we don't hear her speak, and the fact that she's the first human to openly show attraction to a female-presenting Gem quickly made her a popular ship for Pearl. She only gives her inicial as "S" on her phone number, and the credits just call her Mystery Girl. Some fans have taken to calling her Shina from a nickname by one of the storyboard artists.

** Foxglove the bat is a one-shot character with a large fanart following.
** Tammy's mom, who is never even named, has gained a fan following as well.
%%** Tammy, from the same show.

to:

** Foxglove Foxglove, the witch familiar bat from "Good Times, Bat Times" lovestruck with Dale. She only appears in that one episode. But she gets loads of fan art, she seems to appear in more FanFiction as the literal SixthRanger or at least as Dale's girlfriend than not (mind you she and Dale were shown as a couple at the end of the episode, and a show that airs its pilot as episodes 41 through 45 is nowhere near any chronological order, so this might actually have been the chronologically last episode), and she even has a one-shot website dedicated to her with masses of contributions from the olden days of the fandom. She even managed to convert lots of even earlier Rangerphiles from then-dominant Dale+Gadget to Chip+Gadget because she and Dale make such a cute couple. Her immense popularity brought her back as a regular character and the SixthRanger in the Boom! comics.
** Tammy, the teenage squirrelmaid from "Adventures in Squirrelsitting" [[SmittenTeenageGirl lovestruck
with Chip]], but not successfully so. Although she's a large fanart following.
BrattyTeenageDaughter at the beginning, she develops away from that (whereas Foxy develops Dale even more than herself), plus she's cute. Came WebComic/OfMiceAndMayhem which made her the SeventhRanger and for the first time a nurse, and her popularity skyrocketed.
** Tammy's mom, who is never even named, has gained a fan following as well.
%%** Tammy,
well, probably also thanks to being the closest to a HotMom this show has to offer.
** Lahwhinie/Lawhinie/Louwhiney. She only appears in "Gadget Goes Hawaiian", but she's essentially Gadget's Doppelganger, a kind of Gadget in a sarong wearing make-up and a FlowerInHerHair. Yes, she's a villain. No, she is not redeemed in that single episode of hers. But she technically is even more of a looker than Gadget with lots of FanArt to prove, and she's pure CanonFodder for the Rangerdom's ever-productive FanFic writers: How come there's a mouse in Hawaii that looks almost exactly like Gadget? Even if they don't try to answer the question whether she's Gadget's LongLostSibling or even EvilTwin, they can still bring her back as a Gadget impostor.
** Geegaw Hackwrench. Hoo boy. Gadget's DisappearedDad isn't even a character. He only ever appears in one of the five parts of the pilot, and that's in a framed picture for some two or three seconds. That, and he might not even be alive anymore. "Might" because Creator/Disney applied the NeverSayDie rule in a way that leaves his real fate unclear. What few things we learn about him
from Gadget and his old buddy Monterey Jack make him some serious CanonFodder. He is featured in Flashbacks in the same show.Boom! comics, too.

** A lot of tertiary characters have become incredibly popular with fanfiction writers: Craig, Tweek, Pip, Gregory, Christophe (aka "The Mole"), the Goth Kids. Perhaps the most baffling is Damien, the son of Satan, who has spoken in exactly one episode and appeared in the background in a few others. Searching for him on fanfiction.net produces five pages of results, or over a hundred stories.
** Damien wouldn't be nearly as popular if slash fans hadn't noticed his interaction with Pip, another example of this trope, in the one episode he was in. If you look closely at those fanfiction.net pages, you'll see that nearly all of them are Damien/Pip fanfics. Which is even more baffling, considering that Damien set Pip on fire to earn the respect of the other boys.
** The popularity of the Goth Kids might be because fangirls like to use them as an outlet for their own angst--which is ironic, because that's the kind of attitude the Goth kids are supposed to be a parody of, with them doing it just to stand out and look down on others. Especially awkward since only one of them has a canonical name, though on Fanfiction.net at least "Dylan" for the red-tinged Goth and "Ethan" for the tall one seem to be fanon.
