* Rebel District 2 Victor Lyme is only in one or two scenes, but good luck finding a man who's not at least a little obsessed with wondering what her background, motives, ultimate fate, and niche in the Victor community are.

* Madge Undersee, the nice daughter of the mayor of District 12 with whom Katniss has an InterclassFriendship. Also the one who gives her the Mockingjay pin, which ends up giving Katniss her nickname in the revolution. Many were disappointed that she was AdaptedOut in the movies.* Gamemaker Plutarch Heavensbee only gets a few scenes until the third book and is a mysterious figure involved in some very morally dubious acts, but fans [[spoiler:adore the idea of a rebel gamemaker, especially one who plays Snow so well,]] and his background and motivations are a constant source of FanficFuel.

As one of the most popular [=YA=] series' of the 2000s, ''Literature/TheHungerGames'' has attracted a lot of interest from fans, with many supporting and minor characters gaining huge fan appreciation.

!!Original Trilogy
* Cinna, the only Capitol citizen who is undeniably on Katniss' side the entire time. [[spoiler:This ends up costing him his life, with him being eventually KilledOffscreen]].
* Finnick Odair, victor of District 4, [[ProngsOfPoseidon the fishing district, with a trident]], introduced as a MrFanservice, with Katniss noting that he used to get gifts from Capitol citizens he has slept with. [[spoiler:He later revealed that he was a child prostitute and didn't actually want to sleep with any of those people, and [[LadykillerInLove was actually in love with Annie]], another victor who was traumatized by her experiences in the games]]. This, combined with his verbal takedown of [[spoiler:President Snow]] made many people prefer him over Gale or Peeta, both as a character and as a potential LoveInterest.
* [[PluckyGirl Rue]]. She [[spoiler: only appears in one book]], but she's impossibly beloved by fans. Some fan-circles seem to adore her more than they do [[MoralityPet Primrose Everdeen]].
* Foxface is a notable example; she only appears for a few scenes in the first book, doesn't get any lines and doesn't even get her real name revealed, yet fans love her for how cunning she is and because she's more identifiable than a sword badass/archery badass/knife badass/rock badass etc.
* [[ScaryBlackMan Thresh]] is pretty popular as well. [[spoiler:Him killing Clove with LaserGuidedKarma helps]].
* The Careers - [[PsychoKnifeNut Clove]], Cato, and Glimmer (and sometimes Marvel). The ships of Cato[=/=]Clove, Clove[=/=]Katniss, Clove[=/=]Glimmer, Cato[=/=]Glimmer and Glimmer[=/=]Seneca Crane further prove this - in some places, they're more popular than the Katniss[=/=]Peeta[=/=]Gale OT3!
* Seneca Crane, [[spoiler:the Gamemaker who allowed Katniss and Peeta to win the games together, was also KilledOffscreen for doing so]], helped along by his beard in the movie.
* Wiress is only present for a quarter or so of the second book, but her BunnyEarsLawyer skills and implied status on the Autism spectrum have won her many admirers and prominent fanfic roles.
* Despite just being a SatelliteCharacter to Cinna and Peeta, Peeta's stylist, Portia, is a pretty common fanfiction character (albeit mainly in supporting roles).
* Gloss and Cashmere have a pretty big following despite having barely any dialogue or characterization due to their intriguing BackStory as sibling Victors and SoBeautifulItsACurse appearances that made at least Cashmere a SexSlave victim like Finnick.
* The District 10 male tribute in the 75th Hunger Games is a LivingProp, but is quite popular in fanfiction (where he is usually but not always made into a sympathetic character) due to how he lasts longer than anyone else besides some of the Career tributes and [[spoiler:the rebel alliance]].
* NotSoStoic butcher Rooba is one of the better-liked District 12 denizens despite only being in one scene.
* Rebel District 2 Victor Lyme is only in one or two scenes, but good luck finding a man who's not at least a little obsessed with wondering what her background, motives, ultimate fate, and niche in the Victor community are.

!! ''Literature/TheBalladOfSongbirdsAndSnakes''
* Clemensia Dovecote gets a lot of love from the fanbase, thanks to being one of the few Capitol citizens [[EveryoneHasStandards to actively critique the Games]], as well as being an all-around NiceGirl. The fact that she [[spoiler:[[BodyHorror suffers from a mutation]] after being bitten by many genetically modified snakes]] only adds to it, and [[spoiler:many were quite relieved to find out that she can fully recover.]]
* Lysistrata Vickers is similarly loved for the same reasons as Clemensia, also opposing the Games and humanizing the tributes, including [[spoiler:protecting Lucy Gray from a rabid Jessup by distracting him with water bottles]], clarifying at her last interview that the [[spoiler: rabies Jessup contracted was not from his District]] and helping Lucy Gray with her leftover sponsor money.
* Coral's BigSisterInstinct toward her district partner, Teslee's GadgeteerGenius skills, and Lamina's MightyLumberjack moments after initially seeming weak make all of them highly popular standouts even amongst an almost universally beloved crop of tributes, but none of them get many scenes.
* Competent, affable, somewhat mysterious District 12 rebel Spruce has his fans.
* Many of the tributes of the 10th Hunger Games, especially Lamina, Teslee and Coral.
* Despite being {{Red Shirt}}s, the Ring Twins have more fans than a lot of far more prominent mentors due to how nice they are to their tributes and Coriolanus.
