* Morgan was a popular and memorable character despite appearing in just two episodes and a couple of Stingers prior to joining the main cast in Season 6, thanks in large part to his tragic backstory and Creator/LennieJames' excellent performance. Unfortunately, he became more of a BaseBreakingCharacter in Season 6.

* Scott has become a fan-favorite for being just a RecurringExtra, who is nonetheless competent and collected whenever we do see him do anything. As of Season 10 he is one of the longest surviving members of Alexandria, further endearing him to fans. With Season 11 being announced as the final season, many are hoping he'll make it to the end.

Added DiffLines:

* Max, became a fan-favorite once she was introduced, thanks to the clever implementation of the twist around her character, and for being a kind, plucky and good-hearted hero in her own right. She singlehandedly begins the downfall of because she refuses to let them get away with their crimes, leading to the successful revolution. And all the while she proves to have a very touching, heartwarming romance with , made sweeter by the fact that Max fell in love with him without even being able to see him, and still being in love with him after meeting him in person. Being very easy on the eyes due to being played by the beautiful Creator/MargotBingham also gained her more than a few fans.

* Teddy Maddox is only an ArcVillain for the back half of Season 6, but he quickly became a fan favorite due to John Glover’s charismatic, sinister performance perfectly capturing a wily cult leader, and for the sheer menace he brings with his master plan that makes him into what is likely THE most dangerous villain in the entire franchise.

Due to Connie, Lance, and Mercer being promoted to opening titles.

* Connie has become a fan favorite for being level-headed, resourceful, good-natured, and an all-around positive representation of a deaf character. Her interactions with Daryl have also turned them into a major FanPreferredCouple, with support for the pairing quickly rivaling the already popular Daryl/Carol ship. When Creator/LaurenRidloff had to take a leave of absence to honor other commitments, the writers kept Connie around by having her go missing following a cave-in, and when she returned she got her own spotlight episode.

* Lance Hornsby, in a surprising departure from his comic counterpart, gets a vastly increased role and ends up as the main villain of the Commonwealth arc. Creator/JoshHamilton does a wonderful job portraying a ruthless, calculating politician who is more dangerous when he’s not in combat than vice versa, manipulating people like puppets on strings and providing nice helping hands all to push forth his mysterious long-term scheme for power. By the end of Part 2, fans have embraced him as one of the best villains of the show.
* Mercer maintains his status as this from the comic, being a badass with some HiddenDepths and a sweet romance with Princess.
