* Tropers/{{Sugarp1e1}}: Unlike most [[CausticCritic Caustic Critics]] however, he does almost all of his reviews in the form of lists. He's also pretty humble, admitting to being biased at times and making it clear in all of the intros to his videos that he's not a FanHater (as you can see in the flavor text). But the former didn't become more blatantly obvious than in his [[https://youtu.be/-0MxCQmlmmE Top 10 Worst Cartoon Remakes list]]. The [[DarthWiki/DethroningMomentofSuck DMoS]] for me is his #1 pick: [[spoiler:every single Franchise/ScoobyDoo remake in existence]]! Look, I don't care if he doesn't like [[spoiler: Scooby-Doo]]; that's his opinion. But his reason behind his #1 pick shows just how biased he can be. Strider's criticisms about [[spoiler: Scooby-Doo]] are legitimate, if debatable (he found the show formulaic, boring and "nothing special"), but his only criticism about all of the remakes that followed was basically "The original was never any good to begin with, so the franchise should have died years ago!" In his defense, if I remember correctly, I think he did mention at some point that he doesn't feel like any of the remakes added anything new or interesting to the series. But even if he did, it was completely overshadowed by his rant about how annoyed he is that the franchise is still going after 40 years despite the original's lack of appeal to him. I totally understand where he's coming from; I get pretty surprised myself when I find out something that came out when I was a kid is still going on to this day, especially if it's a show I don't like. But I wouldn't be so annoyed as to place the entire franchise at #1 on a Worst Remakes list and bash it simply because of its lifespan and the quality of the original alone. Not to mention that he seems to think that [[spoiler:''Mystery Incorporated'']] is, like the other remakes he mentions, exactly the same as the original. Oh, and Strider seemed to have [[TookALevelInJerkass taken a level in jerkass]] for this entry. Usually, he just expresses his distaste in a professional and witty manner like the classy DeadpanSnarker he is. Here, it sounds more like he's trying to rally all of his viewers against the franchise, what with him having the gall to assume that nobody actively watches [[spoiler: Scooby-Doo]] anyway, asking "Has any kid ever sat down and said, 'Oh, look! [[spoiler:Scooby-Doo]] is on!'?", and claiming that kids only watch it when there's nothing better to watch. Excuse me, Strider, but I watched both [[spoiler: What's New, Scooby-Doo?]] and [[spoiler: ''Mystery Incorporated'']] regularly when I was a kid and loved them. Again, this is coming from a guy who claims to be fine with people liking something he doesn't. This assumption is not only hypocritical and insulting, it makes no sense. If a series has been remade over 19 times, then it must have some sort of fanbase, otherwise, it wouldn't have been remade even once! Even worse? In his [[https://youtu.be/IlkvxV1laO8 Top 10 Best Disney Movies list]], he references the angry comments he got from this in a gag where he calmly says "[[spoiler:Scooby-Doo]] kinda... sucks?" before being pelted by tomatoes. As if he was being totally reasonable with his decision and the viewers were the ones being ridiculous! Can someone please remind him that he specifically described his #2 pick, [[spoiler: Yo Yogi!]], as "the devil's anus of bad"? If he thinks [[spoiler:the entire Scooby-Doo franchise]] is even worse than [[spoiler: Yo Yogi!]], then "it kinda sucks" isn't even close to what he was saying. Not only that, but judging by Strider's comment about [[spoiler:Scooby-Doo]] in his [[https://youtu.be/N95f7baE0as?list=PLfji1gVKy4fYaePq-q1ox2S24X8VZbelZ Top 10 Worst Cartoon Live Action Remakes list]], he seems to think that the only people who are mad at him for this are the [[spoiler:Scooby-Doo]] fans. Implying that he genuinely believes that all of those angry comments were from the Fan Dumb as opposed to some belonging to those who saw just how biased he was being. I was so disappointed with him, I couldn't bring myself to listen to him re-explain why he hates [[spoiler:Scooby-Doo]] in his [[https://youtu.be/P9NLefklYK8 Top 5 Cartoons I Hate That Everyone Likes list]] and skipped over it. (But judging by his added comment of "Forever" in the entry title, he was trying to justify cramming the entire franchise on the top spot of his Worst Remakes list). I don't believe in unsubscribing, so I'll continue to watch his videos. But you'd think somebody who claims to enjoy engaging in intelligent conversation would have a better reason for his #1 pick than "there's too many remakes".

* Tropers/{{TomT}}: While I normally enjoy Strider’s videos, there was one moment in his “Top 10 Most Hated [=SpongeBob=] Episodes” video that I just have to bring up. The video overall was pretty good: it was nice to see him talk about animation for the first time in a while, and I also liked hearing him talk about some infamous [=SpongeBob=] episodes he never got the chance to speak about before. While the #10-#2 spots were mostly just episodes hated by the fanbase that weren’t really in any particular order, the number one spot was split across six different episodes. This isn’t the [=DMoS=]: [=SpongeBob=] is a show with at least half a dozen episodes often cited as the worst in the series. The [=DMoS=] is the number three spot on this list: “I’m With Stupid”. I mean, come on! First off, the episode is more of a BrokenBase than anything (I find his claim in the video that he has “Never met anyone who likes this episode” incredibly difficult to believe), and second, even among the people who do dislike the episode, it is almost never seen as one of the worst episodes in the show. The other episodes on the list for reference, were “The Splinter”, “Demolition Doofus”, “Stuck in the Wringer”, “One Coarse Meal”, and, for number one, [[spoiler:”A Pal for Gary”]], all of which are much more hated than I’m With Stupid. I wouldn’t have minded as much if it was a list of opinions as usual, but this is a list of most hated episodes, and how well-liked an episode is, while still somewhat arguable, is much more subjective than whether you liked it or not. Eve the sources he used for the list, such as [=iMDb=], prove him wrong. On [=iMDb=] it has an 8.6 (though this may partly be because its sister episode, Procrastination, is significantly more well-liked, it would still be a lot lower if I’m With Stupid was as hated as Strider said it was) while the other episodes on the top six spots mostly hovered around the 3.0-5.0 mark. Did he not bother to check his sources that time because he was so certain he was right, or did he check them then refuse to show them in the video because they would’ve made the episode’s place on the list seem ridiculous? I would’ve been fine if the episode had an honourable mention or even a space low down on the list just to point out how it was the most hated pre-movie episode, but the spot it ended up with on the list was just ridiculous.

* MagnusForce: I loathe 99% of animation reviewers on the Internet, and PhantomStrider is in my top 5 most despised. I hate the bland laziness of his reviews (if you can call a countdown list a review). I hate the way he delivers his opinions in the most whiney and pretentious manner. I hate the childlike simplicity of his takes and how he clearly only does the bare minimum research most of the time. And I loathe how his "it's just my opinion" statement comes off as half-hearted and is obviously a weak attempt to deflect all criticism of his takes. However, there will always be one moment from him that especially peeves me off, which is when he declared [[MadeInCountryX all Canadian animation to be horrible]]. No, just no. I am absolutely sick and tired of [[MadeInCountryX the "Canadian animation bad"]] mindset. It's based on little more than the nostalgic bitterness of angry manchildren like him who decided they were sick of ''WesternAnimation/JohnnyTest'' or ''WesternAnimation/AlmostNakedAnimals'' or whatever on the network that defined their "precious childhood" and so decided to blame Canada for everything they hate in cartoons and pick apart every little thing about them to make them seem like the worst things ever (although admittedly I despise those shows myself [[GenreKiller for different reasons]]). Are you really seriously saying that everything ever done by Creator/{{Nelvana}}, Creator/MercuryFilmworks, and the Creator/NationalFilmBoardOfCanada is bad solely they are from the same country that only partially created ''WesternAnimation/JohnnyTest''?! Are you choosing to ignore countless wonderful {{Animated Adaptation}}s of kids' books done in Canada solely because of ''WesternAnimation/AlmostNakedAnimals'' was produced in that exact same country?! Are you seriously declaring about 200 shows made over more than 50 years of history for channels ranging from Creator/{{CBC}} to Creator/{{YTV}} (and also many American channels) all shit solely because you hate ''WesternAnimation/MegaBabies''?! Stop fucking doing this! Is the fact that [[WesternAnimation/PawPatrol one of the most successful and popular children's cartoons]] on right now is Canadian a moot point because of the existence of ''WesternAnimation/JohnnyTest''?! Is the fact that Canada created the first ever AllCGICartoon [[WesternAnimation/ReBoot TV series]] meaningless because Canada also created ''WesternAnimation/MegaBabies''? Is the fact that shows ranging from ''WesternAnimation/TheRaccoons'' to ''WesternAnimation/{{Detentionaire}}'' have all received great critical acclaim and developed hugely loyal fanbases worth ignoring solely because people hated ''WesternAnimation/AlmostNakedAnimals''? Stop basing your knowledge of Canadian animation entirely on your hatred of ''WesternAnimation/JohnnyTest'' and do some actual fucking research for once in your life. I honestly don't understand how or why he and the countless other worthless shits like him, have earned so many subs and are treated as the leading experts on animation when the likes of The Wacky Delhi and Benzie Johnson, reviewers who are actually capable of giving interesting, nuanced, well-researched, and humble reviews created with actual effort exist, or when cartoon podcasts like Toon Talk Weekly and Cartoon Kids provide far more entertaining and insightful discussions of cartoons.
