** [[spoiler:After Ryuko is brainwashed and wears Junketsu herself]], Satsuki wears Senketsu to fight her. Despite Senketsu's best efforts, the attempt is unspeakably painful for Satsuki, but she still presses on, mostly [[WeNeedADistraction as a distraction]].

* ''Manga/IGotMyWishAndReincarnatedAsTheVillainessLastBoss'': While she [[AchievementsInIgnorance did not realize]] the SicklyProdigy aspect of her past life, she was already a determined person despite (or maybe ''because of'') her grave health problems, which causes her to spent most of her past life bedridden. This is demonstrated by her explanation to God why she [[JumpedAtTheCall needs no further information about her next life]], ''all while struggling to stand up as her health problems makes it hell on her heart and lungs'':

** Yugi and Yami have gone to great lengths to rescue each other/their friends/the world, but Yugi deserves special mention. Highlights include forcefully swapping bodies when Yami tried to kill Kaiba, spending eight years trying to solve the Millennium Puzzle, and refusing to let go of said puzzle after it got nailed to a wall in a burning building.
** Seto Kaiba. As the teenage CEO of a major corporation, he has to be, but he'll get [[PapaWolf even worse]] if his little brother is in trouble.

** Both [[GuileHero Lelouch]] and [[CharlesAtlasSuperpower Suzaku]] also fit this. Both are determined to, in their own way, to reform and change the world, no matter what lines they have to cross or how much blood they must shed. [[spoiler: In the end, both end up [[DeconstructedTrope deconstructing]] this as their determination results in a lot of grief to the point they both ''break'' by the end, resulting in the [[ZeroApprovalGambit Zero]] [[ThanatosGambit Requiem]] to try to make up for what has been done and truly fix the world.]]

** All Might continues to display this in the Final Battle, as he whips out a suit of PowwredArmor to battle All For One yet again.

** Prince Heinel, like Kenichi, is willing to die for their respective causes and fight with honour til the end. [[spoiler: Even after all the nobles desert Zamabjil in the GrandFinale, he refuses to give up and ascends into his OneWingedAngel form through Godol]].

** Following his CharacterDevelopment, in an attempt to get an audience with Canute, Thorfinn agrees to take 100 punches from one of his soldiers as part of a bet. He falls down after 32, only to get back on his feet, demand that said soldier finish the bet and shout that he's far too busy to keep people waiting, [[StunnedSilence silencing the crowd of soldiers who until a moment ago were mocking him]]. Thorfinn then goes on to receive 67 more punches in the face as everyone watches in solemn silence, until his exhausted, out-of-breath opponent gives up and delivers what barely counts as a punch to his chest, [[WorthyOpponent acknowledging that Thorfinn simply won't give up]] and begging his commanding officer to grant Thorfinn an audience with Canute.

* ''Manga/VinlandSaga'': Thorfinn will do ''whatever'' is required to earn a duel with Askeladd, even if it's down right suicidal.

** The Team Rocket trio. Hell, they friggin' follow Ash EVERYWHERE, from the Kanto region to Sinnoh and appear in EVERY SINGLE EPISODE except the first, 99% of the time ending in them getting their asses handed to them and flying off into space AND THEY STILL COME BACK FOR MORE. [[spoiler: Not even Ash ''[[Anime/PokemonJourneysTheSeries becoming the #1 trainer in the world after beating Leon]]'' has deterred them in the slightest - in fact, it just makes them ''that much more adamant'' on on capturing his Pokemon.]]

* ''Anime/{{Monster}}'': [[InspectorJavert Inspector Lunge]] obsessively chases Tenma all over Germany trying to get him to confess to the murders [[spoiler:that were actually committed by Johan]]. Nothing - not even [[spoiler:his wife and kids leaving him, or losing his job]] - matters as much as catching Tenma. In a more traditional example, not even being stabbed so badly that he quickly falls unconscious from the blood loss stopped Lunge from trying to smash the windows of Tenma's car in order to catch him.

* ''Anime/TengenToppaGurrenLagann'':
** Kamina inspires the BadassCrew to fight even when they have no chance of winning. His line early in the series, "A real man never dies even if he's killed!", sums up his determination. [[spoiler:Even after his death, his attitude, ideals and catchphrases continue to influence everyone who knew him, so he was more correct than he might have known.]] He takes after his father, and Simon then learns from him, winning back Nia from Anti-spiral possession by never giving up on her. It helps that the robots run on Spiral Energy, which uses sheer willpower and fighting spirit to make the impossible happen.
