The powers he gained from Nihilus's mask finally made him feel special, hence why he refuses to get rid of the mask despite knowing that the being trapped inside the mask is manipulating him in order to break free. Even when everything around him falls apart because of his powers, he still hangs onto the mask to the bitter end.

* ''Fanfic/MyHeroAcademiaUnchainedPredator'' is a crossover between ''VideoGame/Doom2016'', ''Manga/MyHeroAcademia'' and ''VideoGame/{{Darksiders}}, and it deconstructs the actions of the Doom Slayer's methods and a couple things about Hero Society.

Even worse he is shown to be willing to manipulate his allies just to attack Harry/Ritsuka who in this continuity is not the Boy who lived. But someone who he abandons to not get in the way of his plans all the while using the very same creed that he wrote in one of his letters to Grindelwald to justify his actions. This caused the Final Master to have [[TheResenter Resentment issues.]] and his Servants including Kingu, Bedivere, Mochizuki, Mordred and even Merlin to be very disgusted with Dumbledore and the Order (Except for Sirius and Remus), and not only that when Merlin exposes Dumbledore's secrets as well as the latter's SanitySlippage due to Harry/Ritsuka's interference it also caused many of the members of the Order [[BrokenPedestal to lost faith in him (Sirius and Remus included.)]]. It also deconstructs TheChosenOne in the form of the OC [[CainAndAbel Charles Potter]] by showing just how spoiled one can be when chosen to save the world in the latter case he was [[GreenEyedMonster jealous]] of Harry/Ritsuka to the point of insulting Mash as a slut and the Servants as Dark Creatures. he also [[NeverMyFault blames]] the former for "ruining" his dreams when in actuality he is the one who ruins his own life by arrogantly believing he can now be the Final Master due to Dumbledore trying to get rid of Harry/Ritsuka.

* ''FanFic/TheWeddingCrashers'' is a crossover between ''Series/{{Supernatural}}'' and ''Literature/TheTwilightSaga'' that introduces the Winchesters and Castiel into the Twilght universe as friends of Leah just in time to attend Jacob and Renesmee's wedding, showing how the more-normal Sam and Dean react to a lot of things in the Twilight universe (imprinting, sparkling, the attitudes of the Cullens and their allies, the Cullens' spending habits, how little most characters in the series care about humanity) and finally blows up in the best possible way.

Relationships are shown to only work when both parties are equal.
* Even ignoring the infamous ''The Bitter End'', the TenchiSolution of ''A Very Scary Thought'' was almost averted due to fiancée’s TakingAdvantageOfGenerosity and Ranma himself has been called out for being so passive. FailureIsTheOnlyOption for Nabiki and Ranma of ''Quantum Destinies'' due to her gaining the memories and experiences of her pre CharacterDevelopment AVST counterpart and tries to get a Ranma who did the same thing with his canon counterpart to toe the line. Even Genma and Soun have been shown to put their foot doesn’t from time to time.

** That being said, associating with the Autobots has made the Black Knights more heroic than they were in canon, while the Britannians have steadily become worse due to their alliance with the Decepticons. Suzaku's also refuses to acknowledge this, [[KnightTemplar which is only making him even more unhinged]].

* ''Fanfic/InfinityTrainBlossomingTrail'' deconstructs what happens if characters from one world get drawn into the ''WesternAnimation/InfinityTrain''. The ''Anime/PokemonTheSeries'' world has no idea what to make of it since the Train isn't connected to any legends regarding Pokémon. Those who actually ''have'' Pokémon are just as equally able to be attacked or harmed in some way whether they be hostile denizens, the Train itself or the Apex. And since the Train can pick up people from all ''types'' of worlds -- we have [[VideoGame/AngelsOfDeath Zack]] and [[Manga/HappySugarLife Satou]] briefly spare with one another -- then that ends up with the terrifying possibility of what type of mentally challenged people one can encounter on the Train itself.

She hates the idea that she doesn't know what can change and what can't, because she is terrified of the idea that [[SetRightWhatOnceWentWrong trying to fix problems like Rose's death]] end up being [[MakeWrongWhatOnceWentRight the opposite]] and the idea of having to 'fix' such a thing back to how it used to be mortifies her. Her own future is a pretty good one by most accounts: the ice caps got fixed, the worst of the looming extinction crisis in biota was averted, space travel is developing well, and she's seen how easy it is to screw that up, so she's protecting not her own interests, but protecting a genuinely good future and, having seen more than a few takes on a BadFuture and how easy it is to get that and how rare a good future is, wants to keep it safe as much as possible.

** The whole "dark anti-hero [[BadPowersGoodPeople that uses evil powers for good]]" ubiquitous in nearly every fandom gets deconstructed. Whereas a lot of these fanfics are just about power fantasies, here it's shown how this type of character would realistically turn out. Rather than appearing cool, Jaune comes across to the reader as a sociopathic {{Jerkass}} who regularly straddles over the MoralEventHorizon. Another feature common amongst these character types is the tendency to be a FixerSue. However, all Jaune does is create more conflict and he does nothing to change the outcomes of canon events. Eventually, he ends up becoming a bigger threat than the original villains ever were.

** The DC heroes eventually get deconstruction as well in this story. While the DC heroes are better than The Boy's heroes in every way because The Boy's heroes are only heroes in the name when they are, in fact, broken failures with superpowers, and the DC heroes genuinely want to help the people of The Boys worlds and fix their world. However, the DC heroes come with their own problems that the people of The Boys are unprepared for. For one thing, the DC Universe, while better in some aspects in The Boy's world, is not perfect; for one thing, dangerous super criminals are running around, and because there are no places that can hold them and the heroes are unwilling to kill them, that cause these supervillains to be allowed to run around and cause collateral damage for the civilian population. After seeing how dangerous the supervillains are and the collateral damage to DC universe suffers on a daily basis to the point where cities are destroyed, the people of The Boy's world turn against the Justice League and go back to The Seven, despite becoming aware of The Seven unsavory flaws and actions.

* ''Fanfic/TheBoysRealJustice'': The fic explores how corrupt and broken the superheroes of ''Series/TheBoys'' world would appear to the likes of the ''Franchise/JusticeLeague''. The villains from the [=DC=] Earth do very well when faced with fake heroes who are, with few exceptions, broken failures who can't back up the marketing behind them because they've never been in a real fight or fought real villains.

He ends up being more of a bodyguard than a familiar/slave/romantic interest. Being a ''VideoGame/SpecOpsTheLine'' crossover, it also deconstructs crossover fics by subverting the WarIsGlorious aspect by showing the real horrors of [[WarIsHell fighting a medieval war with modern weapons]].

* ''Fanfic/CindersAndAshesTheChroniclesOfKamenRiderDante'' deconstructs the idea of a SelfInsertFic where the main character becomes a Franchise/KamenRider by showing just how the effects of being a rider bare on the mentality of an emotionally unstable teenager. The end result? Constant {{curbstomp battle}}s against the protagonist, HeroicFatigue setting in as [[ILetGwenStacyDie many people get killed on his watch]], and a relapse of [[DeathSeeker his suicidal behavior]]. This is on ''top'' of it being a crossover with another DeconstructionCrossover, ''Anime/ReCreators'', where it further builds up on the implications of [[RefugeeFromTVLand fictional characters coming to the real world]] and the consequences of cyberbullying.

* The ''Series/TheBoys''[=/=]''ComicBook/{{Superman}}'' crossover ''Fanfic/ASupeOfAMan'' shreds apart elements of both franchises.
