Tropes cannot be subverted "heavily." This is cruft.
* EveryoneIsRelated: Heavily subverted. Other than a few marriages resulting later on, almost nobody is blood-related (or for that matter, Ink-related) to anyone else (important)! Yet, while blood relations are severely lacking among major cast members, everyone is "connected" in more abstract ways.

trope repair shop: Spoiled Sweet clean-up: misuse and ZCE are being removed
* ShootTheShaggyDog: Think the story can't get any darker? By the Final Hope timeline, has returned. The PTG (UN substitute) has now become the PeoplesRepublicOfTyranny, with as TheCaligula. are dead. All the characters we loved are dead or sent into hibernation/muellexic freeze. If gets desperate enough, he may release Melchar (and Alhox) from the Muellex. is a nuclear wasteland. Our new heroes are a black dude whose family was killed in a fire, a girl who has unlimited lives if she remains a technical virgin, a monk, a chaplain/mechanic, a rich girl with a RapeAsDrama motif, and the grandniece of our favorite WalkingWasteland. They must stop the old evil from assembling a DeathRay that can wipe out an entire city at a time, by finding the hidden blueprints first. Meanwhile, signs point to TheEndOfTheWorldAsWeKnowIt.

Medieval Japan is now Hollywood Medieval Japan. Bad examples and ZCE are being removed.
** Whixtitout can't decide if it's MedievalJapan, TwentyMinutesIntoTheFuture, TheNewTens, or a planet-sized HiddenElfVillage (albeit, NeutralNoLonger.)

** Subverted in-universe on Neothode, as the population is so used to being bullied by Astrabolo's cult that they are too far beyond the DespairEventHorizon to care about whether the weirdness in their environment is covered up or not.

The Messiah has been disambiguated between Messianic Archetype and All Loving Hero. Bad examples and ZCE are being removed; if you disagree, please readd with sufficient context.
** Jesus Minshus (TheMessiah,) Richard Ribando (a BadassPreacher) and Clandish Consto (a JackTheRipoff SerialKiller) all have their fates linked to each other's by some long-dead ancient guy's dream about a zebra!

It needs to be famous for that, Citizen Kane or King Kong famous.
** Perhaps the most egregious example is Cybomec, subverted in that it was only a Cybomec that joins, not the Clandish "Cybomec" Consto that nearly killed everyone. [[spoiler: He becomes Preamble instead.]]

Who?
Stationery Voyagers is an allegorical, Melodrama melodramatic dry Pastiche ScienceFiction serial SpaceOpera book (and hopefully, also eventually TV) series in development by Dozerfleet Productions (Yes, that Dozerfleet!)

Removing the personal political commentary and the natter and shoehorned tropes
* AmericaSavesTheDay: Callously averted, if not outright defied. The MoralGuardians are shown to be horribly ineffectual at protecting the public from rabid straw liberals, whose violence makes Occupy Oakland look like Series/BarneyAndFriends by comparison. Because of this chaos, Antia is rendered utterly useless most of the time. And when the Drismabons attack, Antia is just as dependent on Stationery technology as everyone else on Mantith to fight back. The president is so inept, that even God is convinced to give the Voyagers to another country: Ruritania Bulgadia. And that country proves to be only slightly better at protecting the Voyagers' diplomatic safety.

* BetterByADifferentName: The author has very few issues with anyone who conjectures that the series may have been better as WesternAnimation/VeggieTales, or Franchise/StarTrek, or Film/BladeRunner, or 24, or as any of the countless other things it gives a ShoutOut to Pastiche all over. ** And the author even agrees that Bindaf 3000 was at least somewhat cooler as the Astro Megaship. * TheBlank: The Voyagers have barely-there, almost non-existent faces. And when wearing their caps, their facial features aren't even depicted at all. Exceptions would be Liquidon and Erasaxo, who are FacelessEyes.

* BullyingADragon / DoNotTauntCthulhu: Naturally, this happens a lot.

* FurryConfusion: They're living pens and markers; but they keep journals with non-living "dolls." Then again, the alternative would have them writing with their own heads Squick using their own blood.
