Poland’s prolific film industry had disappeared during the Nazi occupation, but after the war it started to come back to life, as did Gross’ filmmaking ambitions. He moved to UsefulNotes/{{Israel}} and later Australia, where he founded his film studio in 1968, where he would work with his wife and his staff until his death in 2015.
