The company was founded during 1977, with original name ''[=WaRP=] Graphics'', and issue #1 of ComicBook/{{Elfquest}} was published during 1978. From 1984-1986, some comics were published based on Robert L. Asprin's ''Literature/MythAdventures'' series. ComicBook/{{Elfquest}} was also licensed for printing to other publishers such as Creator/MarvelEpicComics.
