** HE NEVER DID THAT BEFORE!

** Phil also has a strong, ''strong'' preference for game AI that acts according to a specific, fixed, predictable pattern that can be gleaned after a few deaths/attempts and thus exploited to beat via simple rote understanding. He tends to trot out his accusation of "COMPLETELY RANDOM" whenever he encounters more dynamic and adaptive AI, and also gets extremely frustrated whenever a game with AIRoulette lands on an action in one attempt that it didn't on a previous attempt.

* LostForever: All his videos that were on his blip.tv account, including the controversial ''VideoGame/DeadSpace2'' demo playthrough that was the reason for its deletion. Another noteworthy one was the tenth episode of "Cooking With The King", which was Phil baking cookies in his stove for Christmas.
* ManlyTears: [[spoiler:Kenny's sacrifice]] in ''VideoGame/TheWalkingDead'' moved Phil so much it actually got him to tear up while playing.
** As did [[spoiler:Thane]]'s death in ''VideoGame/MassEffect3'', though there it seemed like he was trying to fight them.
* NeverMyFault: To keep it brief, he has [[NeverLiveItDown a reputation]] for blaming the games that he plays whenever he loses instead of figuring out what he did wrong and improving from it. Common complaints along this line include mentioning that the controls lagged, a glitch occurred, or that there was nothing he could do.
** Occasionally, he will acknowledge when he makes a mistake-[[IgnoredEpiphany only to go right back to blaming the game the next time he screws up]].

* [[OrphanedSeries Orphaned Playthrough]]: While Phil does do an excellent job at completing the vast majority of the games he plays very quickly (well over 90% of the games he plays have been finished within a week or two, something that makes him stand out from many other {{Lets Play}}ers on [=YouTube=]), there are several which he has simply abandoned. Some noteworthy ones include ''VideoGame/SplinterCell: Conviction'' (through no fault of his own; see UnknownRival below), ''VideoGame/{{HAWX}}'', ''VideoGame/{{Xenoblade}}'', ''[[VisualNovel/PhoenixWrightAceAttorney Phoenix Wright: Justice For All]]'', the first-person playthrough of ''VideoGame/GrandTheftAutoV'' (uniquely due to a technical error), and the co-op playthrough of ''VideoGame/ResidentEvilTheDarksideChronicles''.

** Phil has been known to call out other gamers and popular Website/{{YouTube}}ers for a number of reasons, and yet he has the gall to condemn WebVideo/AlphaOmegaSin for calling him out on ragequitting.

* BrilliantButLazy: ... at least that's how he puts it with his oft-quoted line "I can be good at games if I want to be!" He often does manage to figure success-critical details out in games, but that's in no small part due to his stream telling him the answers (best seen during his Metal Gear Solid 1 playthrough where he states he won't look at the chat for answers, and then proceeds to make comments through the playthrough about what the stream is saying he should do.)
* ButtMonkey: The amount of times Phil gets unlucky in games is amazing.

* ButtMonkey: The amount of times Phil gets unlucky in games is amazing. Most times, it's his own ineptitude to learn how to adapt, but sometimes he genuinely doesn't know what to do.

** A rather unusual variant regarding ''ScarfaceTheWorldIsYours'': in spite of indeed getting angry with the game many times, and having to resort to using cheat codes to make his time easier, he had no intentions of quitting the game. It wasn't until he heard that a YouTube user by the name of FredFuchs was making a very lengthy "This Is How You DON'T Play" montage using his Scarface:TWIY footage that Phil stopped playing the game, and refused to continue playing it because he didn't want to give Fred the satisfaction of giving him more footage to work with in his montage.
