Longdon also had a large film career, most notable for his roles four ''Film/CarryOn'' films. He had large roles in the first two (''Film/CarryOnSergeant'' and ''Film/CarryOnNurse''), but didn't return for ''Film/CarryOnTeacher'' like he had been hoped to. This resulted in him only being cast in a one-scene role for the fourth in the series, ''Film/CarryOnConstable''. He was only cast in his final film in the series - ''Film/CarryOnRegardless'' - after Creator/LesliePhillips pulled out, and his intended role was drastically cut down.
