First appearing on-screen in 1972 on ''Series/ZCars'', Siner eventually obtained the role of the kind-hearted Lieutenant Hubert Gruber for '''Allo 'Allo!''. Siner played the role for most of the series, as well as reprising the role for the ReunionShow in 2007. Humorously, he also had a brief role in the earlier series ''Series/SecretArmy'', of which '''Allo 'Allo!'' was a parody.
