The company was dissolved on January 2011 due to the DevelopmentHell of ''S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2'', but would later reopen its offices on January 22, 2018. They released ''Cossacks 3'' and resumed working on ''S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2'', until the full scale military invasion of Ukraine by UsefulNotes/{{Russia}} in 2022 [[TroubledProduction put it on hold]]. Development resumed in June of that year, with GSC temporarily relocating their main workforce to the Czech Republic, with some staff remaining in Ukraine to serve in the military. One developer, Volodymyr Yezhov, was confirmed to have been killed in battle in December 2022.
