Daptone Records is an American record label specializing in the {{Funk}}, {{Soul}} and afrobeat genres.

The label was founded by musicians Gabriel Roth (a.k.a Bosco Mann) and Neil Sugarman in 2001 from the ashes of the former's earlier funk revival label Desco. It has become notable for it's {{Retraux}} aesthetic, with the use of vintage analog equipment in it's Brooklyn-based studio to record its albums and a sound that harkens back to the days of Creator/{{Motown}} and Creator/{{Stax|Records}}.

Daptone is home to a variety of revival artists such as Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings, Charles Bradley, The Budos Band, The Manahan Street Band and more, who have won critical acclaim and Grammy nominations for their throwback sound and energy. The label has since expanded to incorporate reggae, gospel and rock artists as well.

Daptone currently runs 3 imprints: Wick, which specializes in retro rock, Ever-Soul, reissuing rare R&B recordings from independent labels, and Dunham, a subsidiary founded and run out of the bedroom of Thommas Brenneck.
