Her acting career began in her teens, and at the age of 18, she played the leading role of Michelle in the TV film ''Sharon & Michelle''. Several of her early TV appearances were in comedies, such as ''Series/TheTwoRonnies'', ''Series/OnlyFoolsAndHorses'' and ''Series/TheBrittasEmpire'', where she played [[SassySecretary Angie]].
