* ''The Code'' (2009) was also released as ''Thick as Thieves''. Which resulted in amalgamation of both into ''Złodziejski kodeks'' (''The Code of Thieves'').

Added DiffLines:

* ''Film/{{Shane}}'' was released under the rather menacingly-sounding ''Jeździec znikąd'' (''Rider from Nowhere''). Ironically, this prevented ''Film/PaleRider'' to be released under such title and leading to the already mentioned issue with properly translating the Biblical reference without making it silly.

Added DiffLines:

* The notoriously bad ''Some Kind of Beautiful'' (2014) was, for reasons unknown, delivered to Poland via the Canadian distributor, under the Canadian title of ''How to Make Love Like an Englishman''. Due to that and the fact it is starring Creator/PierceBrosnan, the title was turned into ''Anglik, który mnie kochał'' (''The Englishman Who Loved Me''), an obvious reference to ''Film/TheSpyWhoLovedMe'' (never mind it was a Creator/RogerMoore Bond movie).

General clarification on work content

* Very common with ''ComicBook/DisneyMouseAndDuckComics''. In particular, while the Italian comics are often titled something along the lines of "[Character Name] and [general subject]", their Polish translations change the titles to something more succinct and punchy, often a pun or a ShoutOut. One of countless examples: the Italian comic "Paperino e il tesoro del signor Smith" (literally, "Donald Duck and Mr. Smith's treasure"), about the search for a missing person, was retitled in Polish as "Poszukiwany, poszukiwany" (literally, "Wanted, wanted"), which is a shout-out to the 1972 Polish film ''Poszukiwany, poszukiwana''.
