* ButterflyOfDoom: The Agents of Atlas discovering Cap in the ice leads to Kang ruling the world in the modern day.

* DeathByOriginStory: Spoofed, and then averted, when the Avengers hear Giant-Girl's origin story from her dad. They assume she took up crime fighting to avenge the death of her mother, much to Dr. Van Dyne's confusion, since his wife is alive and well (she's just out at tennis).

* EngineeredHeroics: ''Giant-Sized Avengers'' has Kang messing around causing disasters, which he then fixes, to make the people of Earth adore him.

* EvilChancellor: Who is President Rogers' first and only choice to cede ''all'' global authority to? Why, none other than High Chancellor Kang, of course. Just as Kang planned.

* INeedToGoIronMyDog: The very first issue of ''Marvel Adventures The Avengers'', the warren of a new supermax prison suggests the team stay behind and have some of the prison food. The team politely decline with Giant Girl saying they need to oil Iron Man, leaving the Armored Avenger flummoxed.

* LivingLegend: The Fantastic Four have already heard of the legendary Black Panther before he attacks them.

* MythologyGag: Even in an entirely different universe, Gorilla Man still hates Wolverine. And he still has a habit of smacking people he dislikes upside the head.

First launched in 2003, ''Marvel Adventures'' is a line of LighterAndSofter comics featuring some of the company's top characters and set outside of the 616 canon that most Creator/MarvelComics characters inhabit. Each issue contains a story that's finished by the end of the last page (though setups for larger arcs sometimes occur), and does so in a lighthearted fashion where everything usually [[StatusQuoIsGod gets back to the way it's supposed to be]]. Likewise, its setting allows it to completely ignore world-changing events from the main comics, such as ''ComicBook/CivilWar''.

April 2010 saw the cancellation of practically all the series. The survivors (''Franchise/SpiderMan'' and ''Super Heroes'') became renumbered, starting again from #1. 'Marvel Adventures' also got dropped from the titles.

* AdaptationalEarlyAppearance: In the 616 continuity, Spider-Man and Wolverine only joined Franchise/TheAvengers in the ''Comicbook/NewAvengers'' series, decades after the team was founded [[ComicBookTime (although probably only years in-universe)]]. Here, they appear as members of the team from the beginning, and are possibly founding members.

Antman is still smart in this continuity, and was the discoverer of pym particles. It's just he's not said to be one of the world's smartest people.

* AdaptationalDumbass: Poor [[ComicBook/AntMan Hank Pym]] goes from one of the smartest people on the planet to barely above average intelligence, if that.
