** BeastAndBeauty: Played straight and inverted. Proxima is obviously the 'Beauty', but has the traits of the 'Beast' as she's the [[BloodKnight Blood Knight]] of the Black Order and a stronger physical fighter than her husband. Corvus is visibly the 'Beast', and while a formidable fighter as well, his role is to be the main tactical mind behind Thanos' invasion fleets which often involves psychological intimidation tactics over full-force on occasion.

** EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: When Captain America deflects two of Proxima's own black light spears into Corvus, she is [[MyGodWhatHaveIDone horrified]] when he becomes heavily injured, and Hyperion vaporizes him completely. She abandons the fight immediately to retrieve and protect her husbands' glaive (since he can [[SoulJar resurrect from it]]). She is so [[NotSoStoic distraught]] that she [[VillainousBSOD effectively shuts down]] and stops defending herself, and had to be saved by Thanos.
