** ''Avengers #22'' features Kl'rt questioning the Avengers claims that the Peak, an orbital station above Earth, is as powerful as they say. Spider-Woman glibly notes that since Earth has a "persistent invasion problem," it was rebuilt to be more powerful. It's just a string of nods to ''ComicBook/SecretInvasion'', as the original Peak was taken out of commission by the invading Skrull forces, whose leader had assumed the form of Spider-Woman.

** BeastAndBeauty: Played straight and inverted. Proxima is obviously the 'Beauty', but has the traits of the 'Beast' as she's the [[BloodKnight Blood Knight]] of the Black Order and a stronger physical fighter than her husband. Corvus is visibly the 'Beast', and while a formidable fighter as well, his role is to be the main tactical mind behind Thanos' invasion fleets which often involves psychological intimidation tactics over full-force on occasion.

** EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: When Captain America deflects two of Proxima's own black light spears into Corvus, she is [[MyGodWhatHaveIDone horrified]] when he becomes heavily injured, and Hyperion vaporizes him completely. She abandons the fight immediately to retrieve and protect her husbands' glaive (since he can [[SoulJar resurrect from it]]). She is so [[NotSoStoic distraught]] that she [[VillainousBSOD effectively shuts down]] and stops defending herself, and had to be saved by Thanos. Keep in mind, this is a character defined by her relentless bloodthirsty [[BloodKnight love of battle and bloodshed]], deciding that [[OOCIsSeriousBusiness simply sitting down and holding onto her husband's weapon]] was more important than the fight she was STILL a part of at the time. Despite the fact [[LoveMakesYouDumb she knew Corvus was immortal and that he would resurrect by himself eventually.]]

** EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: When Captain America deflects two of Proxima's own black light spears into Corvus, she is [[MyGodWhatHaveIDone horrified]] when he becomes heavily injured, and Hyperion vaporizes him completely. She abandons the fight immediately to retrieve and protect her husbands' glaive (since he can [[SoulJar resurrect from it]]). A straight example is when [[BattleCouple they battled the Hulk]], they immediately call each other by pet names like "my love" and "dear midnight".

** HeartwarmingInHindight: Rare villain example. In the Black Order and Thanos [[http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-dxIZcgZ89tM/U0RirIi0lJI/AAAAAAAAAjM/Bwb1XxmSezk/s1600/Marvel-Infinity-TheBlackOrder-Thanos-Poster.png superspread poster]], Thanos, Ebony Maw, and Supergiant appear to be looking at the reader, and Black Dwarf is roaring to the stars. Corvus and Proxima only have eyes for each other. At the time of the poster's release, it was not common knowledge that they were going to be a married couple.

** TinyGuyHugeGirl: Proxima is a full head taller than Corvus, and 3 times his weight (according to their stats screen in [[VideoGame/MarvelFutureFight Marvel Future Fight]]).
