''The Despicable Deadpool'' is a 2017 comic book series by Creator/MarvelComics. The series is written by Creator/GerryDuggan and drawn by Scott Koblish. The series uses legacy numbering, starting at Issue #287.
After being ostracized for his mistakes in ''ComicBook/SecretEmpire'', and receiving no credit for the things he did to help rectify the situation, Wade decides to finally give up on being a hero, and return to his roots as a mercenary, becoming [[TitleDrop The Despicable Deadpool]].
The first issue was released October 11, 2017. The final issue was released May 9, 2018. The series was followed by ''ComicBook/Deadpool2018''.
