* SarcasticConfession: In the "Agent Zero" storyline Donald confesses being Paperinik to Daisy in Kay K presence. Doesn't count for Daisy, who gets her memory wiped immediately after, but for Kay K and the Agency...

Created in Italy, the storyline was introduced in April, 2008. Scripted by Marco Bosco and Fausto Vitaliano. It has proven popular enough to become [[AlternateUniverse its own separate canon]]..until the crossover conferm several ties to ComicBook/PaperinikNewAdventures universe.

* [[PunnyName Punny Title]]: The latest story, concerning TheOlympics, is titled ''Olimpici Code'', an obvious ShoutOut to TheDaVinciCode. Sadly, it doesn't quite work in English.

** One of exclusive cover for the Creator/BoomStudios edition (in ''Donald Duck and Friends 250'') is a reference to a cover of ''ComicBook/{{Incorruptible}}'' published by the same editor.

* SpyCatsuit: Kay K wears one of these in one of the stories.

* FemmeFataleSpy: Kay K initially. [[spoiler: She was the criminal Red Primerose who introduce herself in the Agency replacing secretly the director Jay J.]] After all, [[{{Foreshadowing}} she did say that all good spies lied]] and that [[{{SuspiciouslySpecificDenial}} Red Primerose wasn't necessarily a man...]]

* MindScrew: in the first story arc, there's quite a lot of twists. Not a bad thing per se, but considering the series' target audience are kids [[WhatDoYouMeanItsForKids (albeit]] [[PeripheryDemographic not]] [[ParentalBonus necessarily)]], keeping track of the events might turn out to be harder than expected, especially considering the...
** GainaxEnding:... which ends ''the first story arc''. [[MindScrewdriver Explained throughout the second story arc.]]

** When Donald [[spoiler: arrest her (once revealated that was a traitor]]) and she's being taken away, she tells Donald they "could've been good together". His response? [[OneTruePairing "Sorry Red! There's only one girl for me!"]]
*** The Portuguese translation doesn't feature those two lines, but the feeling (or end of it) is still there.

Turns out she'd been StealingFromTheTill, as well as being ClassyCatBurglar Red Primerose on the side.]]

** The password the bouncer of the bar where B-Black entered reveals to Donald (even though he shouldn't have) is ''Film/{{Goldfinger}}''.
** The ''Hong Island'' scene features an underwater lair/laboratory that is located under a volcano, which might remind you of Blofeld's lair in ''Film/YouOnlyLiveTwice''.
** And, of course, one of stories (and the prologue to one of the story arcs) features the films of James ''Tond''. [[spoiler:Whose actor got replaced by an enemy spy]].

*** The most blatant one is the country of Belgravia, which first appeared in PKNA(with a map to show it's location), then returned in ''Double Duck'' (with an identical map), with mentions of president Nestor Grimka (who appeared in the final PKNA Belgravia story, admitting he was about to retire) and his not-so-smart son Grigorji (who here has succeeded him). Both the issue that introduced it in PKNA and the ''Double Duck'' story that features is created by the same guy, Francesco Artibani.

* NonMammalMammaries: Kay K is pretty... forthright for a character in a Creator/{{Disney}} comic.
** Then again, it seems Disney Italia [[ComicBook/PaperinikNewAdventures has a record for that sort of thing...]]

* WhyDidntYouJustSaySo: Daisy asks this when Donald [[spoiler:tells her Kay K is a jewellery maker, and the only reason she was in his car was that she had a breakdown, and he was giving her a lift.]] Of course, it's Donald, so [[spoiler:Kay K shows up in Donald's house immediately after Daisy leaves, and when she comes back to apologise some more, [[NotWhatItLooksLike she finds them in a perfectly innocent embrace.]] ]]

* MacGuffin: Quite a few of these, some of them playing with the trope itself; Donald's first mission involves obtaining a briefcase which contains Kay K's recipe for tuna salad. Later on, Marlo Burke is after [[spoiler:what he thinks is the registry containing all the names of The Agency's operatives. It's actually the file which would allow him to bypass the encryption of the registry, which is in the basement of The Agency. His own PlayfulHacker assumes it's all nonsense, so he calls the whole thing off.]]

* TheMole[=/=]MataHari: [[spoiler:Kay K. After all, [[{{Foreshadowing}} she did say that all good spies lied]] and that [[{{SuspiciouslySpecificDenial}} Red Primerose wasn't necessarily a man...]]]]

** Another ''huge'' PK cameo appears in the "Code Olympus" story arc, featuring the Republic of Belgravia (a PeoplesRepublicOfTiranny), complete with mentions of the characters Nestor Grimka (as the former president) and his son Grigorji (as the current one. He didn't get better from his appearance in PK), and Paperinik's Extransformer shield in Gizmo's lab. [[LampshadeHanging When Belgravia is mentioned, Donald remarks he's familiar with them]].

A parking ticket leads DonaldDuck to realise he's [[ManchurianAgent actually a former sleeper agent]] for CloakAndDagger GovernmentAgencyOfFiction, The Agency. However, one of their agents has become a DoubleAgent and taken a MacGuffin; the world isn't going to save itself, so [[MandatoryUnretirement he's back on the job]] as [[Film/JamesBond Agent Double Duck]]!

** There's also a lot of shoutouts to PaperinikNewAdventures, which makes sense considering the team making DoubleDuck is mostly composed by people who previously worked on that.
