Plot happens.

* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome: At the beginning of the series, Steve's apartment is still damaged from the events of ''Sentinel of Liberty''. Steve and company had barely caught their breaths after the Outer Circle's NYC attack before being thrust into the ''Cold War'' crossover (and from there into their final confrontation with the Century Game). With everything on their plate, it make sense Steve simply has not been able to give the restoration of his apartment building any attention until now.

Seeing how sickly Steve was, Asmoday knew he'd be dead in a matter of years. He thus wanted Steve to live so that he could suffer and die alone and forgotten by history. ''Captain America'' is an upcoming September 2023 ongoing comic from Creator/MarvelComics, written by Creator/JMichaelStraczynski with art by Jesus Saiz.

It is a relaunch of ''ComicBook/CaptainAmerica'' following the conclusion of Collin Kelly and Jackson Lanzing's ''ComicBook/CaptainAmericaSentinelOfLiberty''. It's also marks Straczynski's grand return to Marvel after exiting the House of Ideas in 2010 and Jesus Saiz's return to Captain America half a decade after ''ComicBook/CaptainAmericaSteveRogers'' in 2017.
