''Blackwulf'' is a 1994 superhero comic book series published by Creator/MarvelComics and set in the shared Franchise/MarvelUniverse. It's written by Glenn Herdling and largely illustrated by Angel Medina and Bill Anderson, with color art by Ray Murtaugh.
Lucian and Pelops are the sons of the villainous Lord Tantalus, leader of a genetically unstable race of underground-dwellers. Pelops is their father's favourite, whereas Lucian is scorned, despite his loyalty, because of a birthmark and perceived genetic impurity.
Tantalus's attempts to menace the surface world are opposed by the masked hero known as Blackwulf, leader of the Underground Legion. When a mission led by Lucian clashes with Blackwulf‘s forces, it swiftly becomes clear that Blackwulf himself is actually a disguised Pelops.
While Lucian's still wrestling with that discovery, Tantalus also becomes aware of his son's secret rebellion - and responds by immediately killing Pelops.
Lucian decides that Pelops was right, and that their father is an evil force who has to be stopped - and so he too changes sides, taking up his brother's identity and allying with the Underground Legion as the ''new'' Blackwulf.
