Majority of these have too fantastical elements, characters reacting in certain ways or deconstructions.

** Giants races and other enormous-sized beings like Giant deities and Dragons require enormous amounts of food to sustain their bodies (And even then, only to catalyze MagicEater metabolisms, since the square-cube law means after a certain threshold no amount of food could have sustained them). Since their hunger means they can't afford to be picky, and their innate domineering instincts, this results in them having little to no reservations against eating the smaller 'Tinies' races. Hungry Giants can consume whole villages, towns and cities; meanwhile their gods can swallow whole kingdoms and pantheons in an afternoon. As a rule of thumb/hoof, if they have even the slightest Giant heritage, they've more likely than not eaten people (And even enjoy it). However, benevolent members of these species tend to only eat those who had it coming.

* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome: As noted under the CentralTheme trope, while Equus is ultimately a hopeful and fantastical world, nothing, not even the gods, can escape the natural and inevitable consequences of certain actions and events however people wishes it was not to be.
** The leadership of the Abyssinian pantheon were JerkassGods who ultimately did nothing to stop the Storm King largely out of spite and the fact he didn't care about who his subjects worshiped. Their worshipers abandon them for more benevolent gods and ultimately the benevolent members of the Pantheon overthrew them. It's mentioned this is normally what happens to JerkassGods, since in this world mortals have a lot of options, all of which are equally real, so they don't have to put up with the jerks among the gods.
** The Changelings and Dragons have loathed each other for eons and have tried to exterminate the other at least once each. As such, there's a lot of FantasticRacism between them. This makes an extremely toxic environment even in the more benign Spring Court, which has very recently come back to bite them both very hard due to creating extremely dangerous villains via the psychological damage it's caused.
** Positive example: despite the eons-long blood feud between the Changelings and Dragons, not all of both sides actually buy into it. Apterus's parents didn't care about it, while Puck, Pentatomidae, Zoraptera and Theraphosa didn't view it as right due to being among the most moral of their Court. Pentatomidae made a point in punishing her family for their racism by avoiding them for 500 years.
** Choice makes it clear that just because the trio of villains that attempted to destroy the dragons and changelings spawned by their grudge were beaten, this does not mean that it's over. So long as the CycleOfRevenge continues, such monsters will inevitably follow.
** Various mutations have largely positive versions, but as genetic mutations can be random, there are versions of them with flawed genes that can be detrimental or even deadly.
** Most of the old Orosian gods were little more than irresponsible, arrogant, and spoiled children who constantly caused unnecessary wars and deaths with their petty squabbles and extreme intolerance for disrespect. As a result, they died during the Gotterdammerung Twilight of the Orosian Gods, an event that was implied to be of their own making.
** High King Irminsul, TopGod of the once-united Elternteil pantheon, emotionally abused Temnobog for being born "evil" despite not having done anything evil while favoring the pure and radiant Belyolen, and encouraged his family and peers to do the same. This not only caused Temnobog to become a genuine GodOfEvil out of misery and resentment for a time, but also drove away Belyolen, who was rightly disgusted with his family's petty and arrogant hypocrisy and left to form his own pantheon so he could get his brother away from him, especially after learning that some of his family members considered killing his dark twin. Irminsul's horrible parenting also attracted the Alicorn Primeval of Self-Love, Amour-De-Soi, who reportedly helped Belyolen and the other Bogolenya deities leave out of similar disgust. And presumably, his views on how to handle the future of Deerkind also partially caused the Elternteil schism, as other divine Deer left to form the Hoyklan pantheon.
** There's a lot of things involving Golden Scepter's many demi-divine sons that get played for realism, which makes them significantly different from their character inspirations, the Primarchs.
*** Written Word's entry notes how he defied laws banning religious worship of his family out of love for his father and his desire to help others. Golden Scepter had religious worship of him and his sons banned in the first place because it encouraged BlindObedience and religious excess. Even with good intentions, Written Word was still breaking the law, and he could only keep it a secret for so long due to his father embodying Psionics. He ended up accidentally revealing his secret anyway during a heated argument, leading to Golden Scepter setting his son straight by deconstructing his motives and telepathically showing him his own memories of his experiences with religion. In addition, his brothers keeping quiet about his religious activities out of love and respect for him got Golden Scepter mad at them because they knew yet didn't tell him about it sooner. Written Word's entry also notes that during his battle against a Demon Queen and her infernal forces, Written Word initially did very badly against them because neither he or the makeshift army he rescued from a CorruptChurch were trained or equipped for such an occasion. The tides turned when Written Word gave a RousingSpeech that somehow magically empowered everyone through faith, much to the demons' shock, and eventually, the demons were defeated and the Demon Queen killed. This heroic act allowed Written Word to become an Alicorn... then he collapsed afterwards from a combination of sheer exhaustion and various untreated injuries. Thankfully, he survives due to prompt medical attention.
*** Fanged Paw's entry deals with his hateful relationship with Crimson Star, one of his younger brothers - Fanged Paw constantly got into violent fights with Crimson Star for being an InsufferableGenius. When he continued bullying Crimson Star after he was blinded and became severely depressed, his brothers (Blazing Hoof in particular) reacted with anger and disgust. Golden Scepter was furious with Fanged Paw for his actions, and after showing him Crimson Star's emotional torment, he exiled his son as punishment. Fanged Paw felt so guilty that he accepted his exile without complaint, and had nightmares and hallucinations about what he had done. By the time he was allowed to come back home, Fanged Paw had become an Alicorn as well as a much better stallion thanks to the CharacterDevelopment he undertook. Fanged Paw's entry also deals with his distrust of magic in general - while his reasons were understandable, his distrust really stemmed from resentment over having Disruption magic and the social stigma that came with it, so his hatred of Crimson Star for wielding magic made him look like a hypocrite. He would eventually get over this when he practiced his Disruption magic enough for him to get used to it, and Golden Scepter made him continue studying magic despite hating it, resulting in Fanged Paw becoming a skilled magic user even though he is WeakButSkilled compared to some of his magically-inclined brothers. On a hilarious note, after becoming the Alicorn god of War, he had little to no control over his voice powers, and would suddenly and accidentally end up using them without warning. This caused incidents such as one where his boisterous entry into the palace library caused a large pile of books to topple and fall on Written Word. As a result, after he befriended Prince Vultus IV and Clamos, his brothers fear the day when he'll get into a shouting match with either one, or both of them.
*** Steel Barricade's entry deals with the reality of expressing rage in unhealthy ways. When a Scion of Hurricane called him a "disgrace" to the Pegasi tribe, he gave the guy a NoHoldsBarredBeatdown in public for it. While many claimed the Scion deserved it, it's noted that Steel Barricade's brothers had to separate them before the situation escalated, and Golden Scepter was rather disappointed in his eleventh son for losing his temper, despite having no love for the Scions of Huricane or tribalists in general himself.
** According to a Codexverse writer, Crystal Prism's transformation into a magic-absorbing BlobMonster in his backstory serves as a deconstruction of what happened to his character inspiration, Peter, being subjected to the same fate by well-intentioned yet extremely shady individuals, and then is magically restored with no psychological repercussions at all. Here, Crystal suffered from nightmares as well as PTSD from his stint as a monster and his traumatizing ascension/resurrection into an Alicorn demigod, and it took some time, as well as several therapy sessions with the young Bogolenya goddess Mentálne, for him to stave off the worst parts of his PTSD. Even then, while he did mostly improve, the road to full mental recovery is still a long one.
** Every single time an ancient isolated civilization returns to the wider world, rather than being instant, everyone in them requires a lot of vaccinations for diseases they have no defenses for.
