* AmbiguouslyBi: Bakura's gaydar has reacted to him, he has an obsession with leather clothing, in ''Bonds Beyond Time Abridged'' he is openly attracted to Yusei, and in "Everybody Hates Mako" he cracked "if you're a ghost then I'm straight" at Kaiba's ghost. [[spoiler:The "ghost" was actually a gay clown.]] However, he occasionally shows interest in both genders, including Téa, Mai, and Rebecca; but then in "They Saved Tristan's Brain," it's revealed that he isn't sure if Téa is a girl. Then there's this:

Added DiffLines:

* AmbiguouslyEvil: His acts of heroism are usually motivated by selfishness and he treats everyone around him like dirt. They're okay with this since there's always at least two major antagonists even worse than Yami in each season. Taken even further in Season 0 where Yami is a straight-up SuperpoweredEvilSide who paraphrases famous villains and enjoys murder.

A supposedly world-class professional duelist, Mai repeatedly proves herself completely incompetent every time she duels. She also happens to have enormous breasts, which are objects of pride for her and obsession and mockery for everyone else.

else. In Season 4, she suddenly gets a change of voice and a rather expanded characterisation.

** In Season 4, this is one of the reasons why she has gone evil, she's basically sick of being treated as a joke despite having a huge winning streak off-screen on the professional circuit after Battle City. When Joey claims that "if it happened off-screen, it didn't happen", Mai humiliates him by basically saying "by that logic, then your balls haven't dropped". The only reason she loses the duel against him is because he basically cheated.

** No longer the case as of Season 4, now that her character is no longer one-note. Now she's stated much more legitimate reasons to dump him.

* MsFanservice: Her whole shtick is how attractive she is and how large her breasts are.

Added DiffLines:

* WhatKindOfLamePowerIsHeartAnyway: Her Millennium Necklace gives her the power to break the fourth wall. '''Everyone''' can do that freely, anyway. However, she does manage to break the ''actual''fourth wall, in the sense that while all of the characters talk about their lives and the events of the plot as if they're aware of their being in an official English dubbed anime series, Ishizu is one of the only characters who acknowledges in the episodes themselves that they are in an abridged series. Such acknowledgement is usually reserved for other videos featuring the characters, not in episodes of the series itself.

* HoistByHisOwnPetard: After Battle City, he dueled Joey so Joey could earn back his Red-Eyes Black Dragon. He refused to go easy on Joey and expected it to be a CurbStompBattle. He actually lost the duel, and Joey won because he believed in the heart of the cards just like Yugi told him to, even though Yami admitted afterwards that he was bullshiting when he said to believe in the heart of the cards.

** RetiredBadass: Assuming that he wasn't just babbling nonsense like the CloudCuckooLander he is, not only is he a war veteran, but his story in Episode 62 began with him mentioning that he single-handedly slaughtered an entire squadron of something (probably soldiers, but knowing him, it could've been a squadron of anything).
