!!X-Club

A team of Science Heroes. Formed in order to save mutant kind after M-Day, the X-Club is the devoted science division of the X-Men. They usually stay off the front lines of the X-Men's battles to help from the sidelines. Most of their work has been concerned with the X-Gene, specifically, what makes it work, and how it originated. Unfortunately for the X-Club, most of their efforts have been fruitless, and they have already lost half their team members. However, they have proven popular enough to receive two one-shots, and a mini-series.

of five new mutants who appeared after Emma Frost's, Spector transferred first to the return of Hope Summers. Idie was rescued by Hope Paragons and Storm from a militia but had difficulty adjusting then to her new status as a mutant, viewing herself as an abomination in God's eyes. Despite this, she still worked with Hope's Five Lights team until being sent to join Wolverine's school, where she struck up an unlikely friendship with Quentin Quire and Broo.the Corsairs.

!!!Debut: Astonishing X-Men Generation X Vol 3 #9 (March, 2005)

2 #1 (July, 2017)

Introduced as a new student at the Jean Grey Academy, Nathaniel was quickly assigned to Jubilee's class of students who were not believed to have the potential or desire to become X-Men or ambassadors of mutantkind.
----
* TheAtoner: After AbusiveParents: His mom used to whip and abuse him. He eventually managed to escape her heel turn she decides to stay and live with the X-men to study humans. A confrontation his dad, but after make physical contact with Armor has him one day discovered that his father knew what she had been doing and left Nathaniel with her explain she's trying anyway.
* HatesBeingTouched: Wears gloves and avoids skin-to-skin contact with people due
to understand her inescapable it triggering his power and allowing him to see their traumatic memories and private thoughts.
* JustFriends: Tells Benjamin Deeds that he just wants to be friends despite their attraction to each other due to Nathaniel's powers. He eventually forgoes this and begins a relationship with him after they were almost killed by Emplate.
* MixedAncestry: His mother is Korean and his father is white.
* Psychometry: His mutant ability lets him see the history of objects he touches. Unfortunately if he touches people, he also tends to see their most traumatic memories or innermost thoughts. This makes it difficult for him to have relationships, as he broke up with a previous boyfriend after kissing him and discovering he had
feelings of guilt for pushing Wing into suicide.
* AwesomeByAnalysis: She's built to be a training program so has a high aptitude for deducing and profiling from what she observes. When she assumes a humanoid form she employs her years of training the X-men to effortlessly counter their powers and drop them all.
* BerserkButton: Do not attempt to imprison her or pose a threat to her freedom. She will end you.
* DidYouThinkICantFeel: Her reaction to being imprisoned as the Danger Room for decades.
* HeelFaceTurn: Despite originally trying to kill them, she now aids the X-Men and fights alongside them.
* InstantAIJustAddWater: Is the Danger Room become sentient and now her own person. In her first appearance, she regularly uplifted other AI into sentience. She herself developed self-awareness shortly after being installed which, according to Shi'ar engineers, is impossible.
* RestrainingBolt: A part of her programming makes her incapable of harming the students and X-Men. She circumvents it by pushing one to commit suicide, which is enough for her to assume a humanoid form, but she's still incapable of finishing them off.
* ShapeShifting: This rather than TransformingMecha due to having a much more fluid form as well as holographic disguise capabilities.
* TinMan: In spite of regularly explaining she has feelings she spends almost as much time denying she's capable of them because she's a program.
* TurnedAgainstTheirMasters: She took poorly to being held captive as the original Danger Room.
