The youngest of the group and COWBOY's pilot. A kind-hearted, easy-going guy who just wants to have a good time.

* EveryoneHasStandards: He's a mellow, friendly guy to everyone typically, but [=SKA=] constantly nitpicking COWBOY's aesthetics and movements wears out Knife's patience enough for Knife to bluntly tell him, "Shut the fuck up."

* FourPhilosophyEnsemble: The cynic. Duque's distrustful of everyone and everything, prefering to get the easy way out instead of dealing with sketchy stuff. He outright wants to sell COWBOY rather use it for fights and always expects the worse of people, especially Shade. He's grumpy and mean to almost everyone too. He's a more downplayed example though: when things do work (and not in his intended way), he happily takes it and starts acting as cheery as Knife even.

An elderly lady who runs Rain City's old scrapyard, known colloquially as the "Crapyard". Shade hires her early on to improve COWBOY's design, though she only really shows up around the group right before they have to fight their next opponent. She has a rivalry with Bounty Hog.

* GadgeteerGenius: She has decades more experience than Duque in the field of mecha and is the one responsible to designing [=COWBOY's=] improvements.

The owner of Rain City's current scrapyard and Fancy Jack's uncle. His scrapyard doubles as an arena for COWBOY's opening bouts. He has a rivalry with ZZ.

The pilot of FANCY BOY and Bounty Hog's nephew. He's also COWBOY's first serious opponent. After his defeat, he appoints himself Knife's rival and tries to fight up the ranks behind him.

* FriendlyRival: In between working his way up to fighting COWBOY again, he casually hangs out with Shade and is cordial with the rest of the group. He's also the one who initially gives the tip to the group to research their opponents before fighting them.

The bartender and current owner of the Midnite Rider. She's one of COWBOY's earliest supporters and hosts the group's celebrations whenever they win a match.

* DarkAndTroubledPast: Oh man, where to even begin? [[spoiler:He was apparently a half-american orphan in Japan, which made him target of a lot of mockery and bullying. Later, he and his best friend became yakuza, but were still disrespected and beaten up constantly, which led to his friend trying to kill a store clerk that insulted them, resulting in him being severely hurt. Trying to defend his friend, Shade shot the clerk, only to hit a bystander. His master and father figure took the responsibility for it and was punished accordingly, resulting in his death, while Shade and his friend were forced to leave the country. He later fell in love with the wife of the man he killed. After years of having a lovely and healthy relationship with the woman and her daughter, the guilt and fear of what he had done got to him and decided to abandon them without explaining why, which only fueled his insecurities.]]

* TheVoice: His physical appearance is never shown, but he narrates the events prior to the main story and speaks in a few of the flashbacks.

* DelinquentHair: She wears her hair in an unkempt Mohawk. This is apparently a new development for her, one that her mother apparently hates. [[spoiler:In the WhereAreTheyNowEpilogue, it's revealed she let her hair back down afterwards, with the only remnant being some small spiky tufts atop her head.]]

The host of Midnight Strut, presenting the player with updates in the world of mecha fighting. She acts as the announcer for any match that doesn't take place in Bounty Hog's Yard.

* AnimalMotifs: Cats, of course. They don't call him Catman for nothing. He's a deceptive, sneaky and sly ex-criminal who always manages to get what he wants and get out of any situation, one way or the other. Bonus points for actually liking cats.

* FourPhilosophyEnsemble: The Apathetic. Even for his three dear friends, G was a big enigma that they never quite figured out, with most of his actions and attitudes being rather nonsenical.

** A conversation with Nebraska reveals he's actually very good at math and can solve calculus problems very easily.

* CoolUncle: To his nieces, Tiara and Ribbon. He periodically brings up doing activities like playing video games with them. He's also seen as a HonoraryUncle by Neb, who cheers him on during the mech battles.

* CoolOldLady: She's a fairly chill and level-headed woman who happens to know a lot about mechs.

* CoolUncle: He's supportive of Fancy Jack's career as a mech pilot and even converted his scrapyard into an arena to give him opponents to fight (and make money on the side).

* CoolUncle: To his nieces, Tiara and Ribbon. He periodically brings up doing activities like playing video games with them.

* CoolUncle: To his nieces, Tiara and Ribbon.

* HiddenDepths: During a segment where you can play as him, you get to see Knife's a lot more insecure than he let's out, being afraid of disappointing those he cares about.

An antropomorphic dog that acts as the mechanic of the group. He's grumpy and more level-headed than Shade and Knife.
