The parents of Kai and Kaya, Marco is a professional chef while Sabrina is a psychologist.

* GoodParents: Both clearly have a loving relationship with their children, and upon finding out that Marco is opening his own restaurant, the kids were distressed, thinking they'll see less of him, and were relieved to learn the opposite.

* AlbinosAreFreaks: {{Averted|Trope}}. He does suffer from albinism but you wouldn't be able to tell due to his fur and eye colors. This is due to how Hybrid genetics interact with albinism. His albinism is hardly acknowledged and he's regarded as no different than any other Hybrid kid.

* DidNotThinkThisThrough: He tried pranking Kai during a field trip to the local [[https://www.twindragonscomic.com/comic/the-mask/ museum]] by sneaking behind Kai while wearing a tribal mask and scaring him à la [[WesternAnimation/CourageTheCowardlyDog Eustace]], forgetting that 1. Kai has strength much greater than the average 14-year-old, and 2. he is half animal that [[BreathWeapon breathes fire]] as a self defense mechanism. Benji was lucky only the mask got singed.

* HappilyAdopted: His birth parents gave him up, and he doesn't know why or even who they are. He REALLY doesn't care though, because Victor and Joshua CHOSE him, even with the obstacles they knew they'd face, so as far as he's concerned, they're his real parents.

* DaddysGirl: All their interactions shows that she adores her father.

* BadassPacifist: Outright calls himself a pacifist, and stops an attempted assault by casually talking to the would be attackers and dodging them until security showed up.
* EarlyInstallmentWeirdness: He makes a background cameo appearance in Chapter 4, but had blond hair at the time. His normal purple is the result of dyeing it, though.

* BadassAdorable: His family practices a form of very judo-like martial arts, in which Jin is skilled enough to overcome no less than four opponents at once. And as for the adorable part, ''just look at him''.

* LittleBitBeastly: Unlike most hybrids he's got a human face, with doglike ears, tail, and forearms.
* PintSizedPowerhouse: It's not clear if he has SuperStrength like Kai and Kaya, but mostly because his fighting style revolves around skill and technique rather than brute force. Nonetheless, he's perfectly capable of defeating four grown men on his own, even with what Katsumi calls "sloppy footwork".

* BullyingADragon: One of the most literal examples ever. After seeing Kaya, a dragon hybrid, demonstrate SuperStrength and fire-breathing, STILL tries to push her around. She even tries to throw a fake concrete orb at Kaya's ''head'', though she's luckily stopped in time.
* DirtyCoward: Will back down from Cleo and Kaya when they have Kai, Rex, Benji, and Nate supporting them, not wanting to be outnumbered, but has no problem ganging up on either of the former two alone. After her attempts at getting payback physically fail, she decides to settle for dumping fish heads on the food from the Romero food truck and giving it a bad review to ruin their reputation.
* EmbarrassingNickname: Her relatives call her Lala, and she hates anyone else doing it.
* EvilIsPetty: Is willing to dump rotten fish heads on food she orders from the food truck the twin's father is running and spreading bad publicity about it, which could ruin him and force them to move, just to try and get back at Kaya.
* FalseFriend: Spent years pretending to be Cleo's friend in order to mooch off her, and once exposed for this, rubs it in Cleo's face that she has nobody else.
* GoldDigger: Platonic version, she makes it pretty clear she cares nothing for Cleo as a person, and only wants her money.
* HateSink: Not only one of the only two characters to have no positive traits at all, she happily resorts to violence, gleefully takes advantage of Cleo's fear of being alone, rubs this in her face, and even hints at being bigoted against hybrids.
* JerkAss: Biggest one in the comic.
* LaserGuidedKarma: Break museum property to use as a weapon? Get taken in by museum security.
* NeverMyFault: Is angry at Kaya for "taking" Cleo away from her, when the whole reason Cleo turned away from them is because Kaya treated her as a person and stood up for her when the others didn't. Also hates Kaya for burning her hair off even though that was self-defense when Larissa wouldn't stop bullying her and Cleo.
* TheSociopath: She shows several signs of it, showing [[LackOfEmpathy little-to-no empathy]] for others, sees Cleo as nothing more than a walking wallet that bought cool and expensive stuff for her in particular, with some signs of general [[FantasticRacism anti-Hybrid bigotry]] and generic elitism, always goes NeverMyFault regarding her mistakes, and continues to try and get revenge at Kaya even though it's clear that she'd be better off just walking away.

One of Larissa's clique, a heavyset girl more passive than Larissa but quick to follow her lead in anything.

* TheBrute: The biggest of the three girls.
* TheDitz: Seems to be the dumbest of the girls. Her best idea for sabotaging the food truck is bad online reviews... all from ''one account'', which Cleo easily catches.
* FalseFriend: To Cleo.
* FlatCharacter: She's pretty much a less focused-on version of Larissa.
* JerkAss: Nearly as bad as Larissa.
* PokeThePoodle: After Larissa is thrown out of the food festival, her best idea of "avenging" her is giving the Romero food truck bad reviews... without changing accounts, so it's obvious spam that gets reported, and only brings the truck's rating down to 94%.

* HairOfGoldHeartOfGold: Heart of gold may be a bit of a stretch, but she's the only blonde and the most decent person among Cleo's former friends.
* InnocentlyInsensitive: Legitimately thought Cleo liked spending money on them, and never realized they were making her feel used. Nate calls her out on this, forcing her to change her perspective.
* LaserGuidedKarma: Her attempts at preventing Larissa from chucking a stone egg at Kaya's head led to Nate testifying on her behalf to museum security, resulting in them letting her go.
* OnlySaneMan: Sensibly asks if Larissa is nuts for being willing to throw down with the super-strong fire-breathing dragon girl.
* TokenGoodTeammate: The only one among Cleo's former friends who honestly likes her as a person.

The 14-year-old (15 as of Chapter 12) fraternal twins who are main characters of the comic. They are Dragon Hybrids who live with their parents.

* ExpressiveEars: The twins' ears move with their emotions, perking up, flattening back, and flapping up and down depending on their moods. [[GenkiGirl Kaya's]] ears in particular are the most expressive. They can also move them at will.
* FoolishSiblingResponsibleSibling: Kai often helps guiding his sister along when she needs to do something, and sometimes has to reel her in if she's being too impulsive, though he's certainly not without a mischievous side himself. Kaya even lampshades it when she learns he accepted a bet on impulse, saying that ''she's'' supposed to be the dumb one between the two of them.

* PlayfulCatSmile: Both of the twins have catlike mouths, but this best applies to Kaya when she feels mischievous or energetic.
* PowerIncontinence: They can lose control of their fire when they sneeze, making colds something that they need to stay home for the course of.
