Added DiffLines:

** [[spoiler: Her true personality and dramatic aspects of her [[DarkAndTroubledPast horrific backstory]] as well as her ''very'' dark reaction to it that helped set most of ''Tsukihime's'' Far Side routes in motion]] are completely overridden by her hyperactive, cheery, and mischievous personality in later works. She at least kept her scheming nature intact however, albeit [[LighterAndSofter watered down]] compared to her original self from the visual novel.

* EmptyEyes: It seems that they're meant to symbolize her emotionless nature. In contrast, White Len, who was created from the unused parts of Len's personality, has normal, albeit demonic, eyes.

Five of the known Dead Apostle Ancestors have their own entries on this or other pages: Nrvnsqr Chaos, The Night of Wallachia (in ''Characters/MeltyBlood''), Brunestud of the Crimson Moon, Altrouge Brunestud, and Kishua Zelretch Schweinorg.

Schweinorg, and one of the Ancestors also appears in ''VideoGame/FateGrandOrder'', though in a fairly unusual role, comparatively. For tropes concerning that character, consult the ''Grand Order'' [[Characters/FateGrandOrder character page]], though beware of spoilers in their own right.

** Also, the Forest of Einnashe, that is [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin a forest corrupted in becoming the Seventh Dead Apostle Ancestor when Arcueid fucked up the disposal of the corpse of the previous number seven, Einnashe]]. It's considered strange even for Dead Apostle Ancestor standards.
* {{Expy}}: Enhance is said to look exactly like Dante from ''Franchise/DevilMayCry''.

* DontCallMeSir: He tries to get Kohaku and Hisui to stop calling him "sama". Kohaku complies, Hisui doesn't.

* NotAMorningPerson: According to Hisui, it's physically impossible to wake him up. Or rather, he sleeps so deeply that no one will even attempt it.
* ObliviousToLove: It takes Shiki a while to realize when a girl likes him, unless he's beat over the head with it.

* SuperPowerfulGenetics: He doesn't even know it himself, but he is weapons-grade badass when it really counts. [[spoiler:He's actually from a clan of demon hunters capable of CharlesAtlasSuperpower and mild psychic powers. While he himself initially lacks the training and mindset to use it effectively, his instincts take over when he's around superhuman beings]].

* {{Meido}}: Hisui and Kohaku were adopted by the Tohno family because of their family, but in the end they mostly ended up as the family maids. Oh, and she's the trope picture as well.

There are, technically, four different versions of him. The first is [[spoiler:the original Shiki, who underwent DeathOfPersonality at Makihisa Tohno's hands]], the second is a manifestation of what Shiki Tohno erroneously believes the original Shiki Nanaya would have been like, born from Tohno's identity issues and need to deal with his murderous instincts, the third is more or less the same as the second, but existing only as a living nightmare representing the destruction of Len's dream world, and the fourth was created by [[VideoGame/MeltyBlood White Len]] from all of Shiki Tohno's repressed and denied traits.

Though listed as one of the Twenty-Seven Dead Apostle Ancestors, he is still friendly to humanity at large and has contacts with various characters across the [[Franchise/{{Nasuverse}} multiverse]]: He knows Aoko Aozaki and is the godfather of Arcueid Brunestud and aided in the formation of the ''VisualNovel/FateStayNight'' Holy Grail War system (and thus, by implication, it is suspected he knows a good deal about the [[spoiler:Grand Servant System and the Beasts]] found in ''VideoGame/FateGrandOrder''). Despite having access to the entirety of the Nasuverse continuity, he very rarely appears directly.

* OlderThanSheLooks: She's only a few years younger than his sister Touko, but her appearance does not give the vibe of being an older person (Touko is hinted to be in her thirties in ''LightNovel/KaraNoKyoukai'', but looks mid-to-late twenties at least. Justified with her being in a doll body). Even after the 7-year TimeSkip in the game, she is still mostly the same. Possibly the side effect of mastering [[TimeMaster the Fifth Sorcery]].

Added DiffLines:

* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: She's still just as [[VisualNovel/MahouTsukaiNoYoru harsh as she was back when she was younger]] but thanks to her experiences in her youth and as a now fully-grown adult she's now much more mature about it.

* JapaneseSiblingTerminology: Akiha always refers to Shiki as ''Nii-san''; [[spoiler:if she's not she is actually referring to SHIKI, her true brother]]. She herself is always referred to by Arcueid as "little sister" (''imouto'') in supplementary materials.
