It gets even worse in ''Combiner Force'' where he apparently "upgrades" himself to a new form, and is quickly beaten by Bumblebee upon losing the Decepticon Hunters.

Quickly subverted, however, as it was revealed in ''Collateral Damage'' that Soundwave has complete disregard for all life on Earth, even if it means calling back Megatron. Steeljaw was not too happy with this plan whatsoever.]]
