Artfire being a Japan-original character probably also contributes.

* OutOfFocus: Even by Targetmaster standards, Artfire has received little individual focus.

Added DiffLines:

* AdaptationalNiceGuy: The Japanese Generation 1 continuity makes them a lot nicer compared to their usual depictions, having them more firmly as [[JerkWithAHeartOfGold surly and rude but overall good-hearted]], and making them into genuine heroes and friends to the Beastformers, to the point all three become Headmasters in ''Legends'' and manage to synergize perfectly with their new partners.[[note]]Headmaster technology in the Japanese G1 continuity is usually different than in the West, with the larger bots being lifeless Transtectors and the Headmasters being the ''actual'' bots. The Monsterbot trio however use the Western version, with their heads being removed and turned into suits for three Beastformers, which then combine with their main bodies.[[/note]] This is most pronounced with Repugnus, who goes from being a NominalHero whose only with the Autobots because they need someone to do DirtyBusiness, to a somewhat jerkish but overall decent bot.

* TheBarnum: Hubcap's tech spec bio pegs him as a con artist, and it's a common trait in his fictional appearances. It's safe to say that his peers like him more than they trust him.

A humongous Autobot built as a sub-section of Autobot city. As the Autobots' ultimate weapon and last line of defence, he boasts insane strength, power, valour, dedication and heroism but is self-depreciatory and modest about his achievements. His G1 toy has three more Autobots within his grounds: Slammer the tank, Scamper the car and Six-Gun, who is made from Metroplex's six guns.

* NonStandardCharacterDesign: Among the original six Triple Changers, Broadside is the only one to lack a land-based alternate mode. He instead opts for an aquatic alt-mode, which itself sticks out due to their rarity across the entire franchise.

* DumbMuscle: Since he suppresses DumbMuscle: By suppressing the thoughts personalities of his components in order for them to better sync, Superion has better reaction time than Devastator and is far more mentally stable than Menasor. Unfortunately, this leaves him with an overly detached demeanor and an extremely rigid mindset, unable to think beyond his primary directive of defeating the Aerialbots he's formed from, his intelligence is rather limited, as are most combiners.Decepticons and having difficulty adapting to unforeseen circumstances.

* GoneHorriblyRight: Scattershot insisted that all the Technobots' combined intellects and analytical abilities be maximized when they formed Computron. Unfortunately, this can drastically slow down his reaction time as he considers every alternative before he acts.

* SuperIntelligence: Instead of suppressing the mental abilities of his components, Computron combines all the Technobots' intellects in order to become a giant supercomputer. The cartoon's origin for Computron has his intelligence come from a temporarily super-intelligent Grimlock, who sacrifices his newly-gained wits in order to grant Computron (who naturally had great computation capacity but little knowlege) his massive intellectual capabilities.

** Deconstructed as due to his obsessive need to analyze and plan for every conceivable outcome of a scenario can allow a less intelligent but more physical opponent to get in an attack while Computron is still running his calculations on how best to counter.
