* AdaptationalWimp: The Autobots normally always live one until something that changes the directions of the continuity happens. Here, due to the AnyoneCanDie rule of this continuity, several Autobots have died in the war in contrast of their respective counterparts who live on until the later episodes of their continuity.

Thanks to him shooting Megatron off the Ark when it was crashing into Earth, Starscream stood up to lead, but his actions have costed their forces. * TheSocialDarwinist: As a part of the Decepticon culture, Screamer have the most contempt for even the ''idea'' of helping weaker beings, be they Autobot or human, to the point that he shoots up a hospital just to spite Optimus Prime for defending it.

* DeathByAdaptation: As a staple of the franchise, Bumblebee always lives to fight another day. Not in this continuity, since Starscream makes sure he doesn't even get a chance to come back online.
* MauveShirt: Well known throughout the franchise as the resident KidAppealCharacter, his death sets the tone that no one is safe.
* SacrificialLamb: Starscream casually kills Bumblebee off in the first issue, establishing the high stakes of the series and how it will differ from what came before.
* WalkingSpoiler: Hard to discuss the series without mentioning killing off one of the most identifiable characters in the entire franchise.
* WeHardlyKnewYe: Casually shot in the face by Starscream without even having a chance to be ''reactivated.''

** The first time he actually takes human lives, when he kills the survivors of an aircraft carrier he and Thundercracker destroyed, he only does it to avoid them reporting their existence to the government, which would make future missions much more difficult, and doesn't take any sadistic glee out of the ordeal.
