He also has at least three girls who have no issues coming all the way from the capital to Leeves just to see him, much to his discomfort. * HypocriticalHeartwarming: In chapter 1 of ''Cold Steel I,'' she calls out Kurt for acting tough and not admitting his true feelings. While [[{{Tsundere}} she's hardly one to talk when it comes to admitting her true feelings]], getting Kurt and Altina to admit their feelings of frustration is what finally enables them to come together as a class.

* BrutalHonesty: When the class have to choose a club to join, Kurt bluntly tells Rean that he considers club activities to be a waste of time, saying that every hour he spends in a club is one that he could spend training. In hindsight, this is an early sign of his insecurties and tendency to push himself too hard.

* EasilyForgiven: Rean, Elise, and Alfin don't hold her kidnapping of the latter two during the CivilWar against her too much. Juna, likewise never brings up her role in assisting in Crossbell's annexation against her, in contrast with Rean who she gave the cold shoulder towards at first.

* {{Hypocrite}}: Shortly after New Class VII, Kurt calls the Eight Leaves School "unimpressive" to which Juna calls him out in. However, since she poked fun at him earlier, Altina points out that she has no right to say that.
