Added DiffLines:

* BeautyIsNeverTarnished: Downplayed. Violet definitely looks like she's been through things when Clem meets her, with dirty hair and sunken cheeks from hunger, but she's still fairly attractive, with that being easy to see. [[spoiler: This gets zig-zagged after she's caught in the boat bombs blast, as the only burns she suffers from the blast are around their eyes, resulting in her going blind]].

Added DiffLines:

* DevelopersDesiredDate: Arguably so over Louis, as the writers blatantly made it easier to like and choose her, especially after the incident with [[spoiler: Marlon]]. While Louis has more overt ShipTease with Clementine right away due to his outright flirting with her, many of the options for spending time with either character boil down to "Does the player want to goof around (Louis) vs. do you want to get things done and ensure that Clementine, AJ, and the group are safe (Violet)," the latter of which most players will end up choosing given how dire the situation is. Violet also proves to be more useful to the group by taking charge after [[spoiler: Marlon's]] death, and will easily vouch for Clementine while dismissing him as a villain because of what he did to her ex-girlfriend, and will be regretful about having to kick Clementine and AJ out of the school. Compare that to Louis, who will be rightfully upset at what happened to his friend in part because of Clementine, but is more difficult to sympathize with because of how much of a monster his friend was. Even after Louis changes his mind and admits [[spoiler: Marlon]] did wrong, many players believe it is too late and are rubbed wrong by how angry he gets at them. In the end, Violet will only turn on you if you let her get taken by raiders, which only happens after you already romanced or befriended her, meaning her chances to be unlikable appear much later than his.

* TookALevelInJerkass: [[spoiler: She gets pretty nasty toward the player if they have Clementine save Louis over her and reestablishes her loyalty to Minerva, despite the fact that Minerva killed her own sister. She also allows Minerva to try and kill Clementine, attacks her for trying to escape, and ends up thinking that her friends being taken by Lily is the better option, despite it, again, being the reason Minerva was driven to kill her sister in the first place. Her attitude is justified to a degree, as she knew Clementine could have saved her but chose not to, but she takes it too far, even disregarding the fact that Clementine only didn't save her because Louis needed her help more. And hell, Louis ends up worse off than Violet is if he's taken, giving it more reason to be the justifiable choice]].

** [[spoiler: If you persue a relationship with her but save Louis in Episode 2, Violet will become angry at Clementine for giving her up and going as far as to attack her when she tries to escape; interpreting Violet as this trope]].

Added DiffLines:

* SpoiledSweet: Deconstructed. [[spoiler: If the player has Clementine question Louis about his background in Episode 3, he will reveal that he comes from a very wealthy family with parents who gave him whatever he wanted, whenever he wanted it. However, his father refused to give him the one thing he truly desired: singing lessons so that he could become a real musician, citing the fact that he couldn't be happy as a musician and still be wealthy. So, out of spite, Louis ruined his parents' marriage by inventing a fictitious mistress for his father to spend money on, sending his mother all the receipts, and crying in the corner as they fought to make the scene seem more real. He only revealed the truth to them after the divorce was finalized, throwing his father's words back in their faces. By the time Clementine meets him, he deeply regrets what he did, and is one of the nicest members of the cast instead than the vindictive child he once was]].
