* RedBaron: After coming back from being decapitated, those that witnessed this miracle call him the "Halfmortal".

* SuperReflexes: As a palatine, his brain and nervous system have been enhanced to give him better reflexes. This is what allows him to duel much faster enemies, such as cyborgs or Jaddian super-soldiers. In ''Kingdoms of Death'' it was discovered by the MINOS extrasolarians that the Quiet had tweaked his brain even further, so much that Hadrian can perceive possible time streams and move into them.

* DarkMessiah: He's TheChosenOne and the person who will save humanity and the greater universe from the Cielcins and Watchers. But he'll be resorting to measures such as destroying planets.

* MasterSwordsman: After spending a very long time as a gladiator and later soldier, he's become a master swordsman though he often meats his match with more heavily enhanced opponents.

* WrongGenreSavvy: At the beginning of the series, Hadrian wants to explore the galaxy and seek out new life. He believes that the Cielcin are just misunderstood and that peace can be made between them and humanity. Basically, Hadrian wants to be a Franchise/StarTrek character.
