She is Champion of Desire, Sworn to Venus. she also a student of the Scuola Regina, a member of the Exchequer, and one of the Champions of the European Magical Tournament. After the fourth Task she now sworn to Water.

The most well-known Dark Lord in all of Europe. He was defeated by Albus Dumbledore in a duel that devastated Berlin and saw to the end of the war when he lost. He was locked in Nurmengard along with other members of his army, [[spoiler: until the Exchequer saw fit to break him out.]]

* NecessarilyEvil: Played with, since the Powers aren't truly good or evil, but as the Avatar of Darkness, Osiris commands the more destructive aspects of the cosmos. That, and it's explicitly stated by Morgana that Osiris originally had limited talent wielding those powers, but after Ra's ascension as the Archmage of Light, he was the only one with the raw power who could become Avatar of Darkness. Even then, Osiris' goal was never about domination in his own name, but stopping Ra and repairing all the damage his brother has inflicted on the world. Unfortunately, given Ra's willingness to go to extremes (up to and including genocide and developing world-ending magical superweapons), Osiris is forced to commit to similar extremes, and even then, can only breakeven at best.

* Samus was a Girl: Mordred was a female, and the previous Champion to the Morrigan who was intended to succeed Morgan only for Arthur to kill her and ruin the balance.

* Sealed evil in a can: [[spoiler: turns out that his brother wasn't the only one hosting the great enemy. Ra housed the Ka, or the life energy of a soul, while his brother has the Ba (the immortal soul) imprisoned within him. This is alongside several other fragments sealed in various places to prevent the great enemy - Apophis - from reconstituting itself. Naturally considering this is Ra we're talking about, he still manages to cock up, and the great enemy both starts it's own resurrection and retrieves the Ka without too much fuss on it's part.]]

* SealedEvilInACan: Is allegedly the can holding something called the Great Enemy at bay, though the primary source of this was a statement from Ra made thousands of years ago, and by the present day he can no longer distinguish between alleged prisoner and alleged prison.

** AffablyEvil: Though that being said, he is capable of communicating with some individuals such as the Queen, the Knights, and even Alexandra without that underlying malice, though he can remain amused and condescending nevertheless. [[spoiler:Ultimately played straight, however, after his HeroicSacrifice. Many of the Exchequer's members openly weep while watching Osiris walk into the Black Sun.

* PassingtheTorch: After [[spoiler:Ra's death and final betrayal]], Osiris surrenders his many positions, appoints Morgana and Alexandra as his successors, and then willingly enters the Black Sun to buy time for the Exchequer to find a way to defeat Apophis once and for all.

* BigBad: A strong contender for the title, [[LightIsNotGood not that the light is much better.]]

The Boy who Lived, Neville Longbottom is the only survivor of Voldemort's attack on his family after James Potter sold out their location to the Dark Lord, and is famed for having defeated Voldemort as an infant when his Killing Curse backfired and destroyed him.

The only son and heir of Sirius Black, and one of Neville Longbottom's best friends, he balances out Neville and Ron's more wild behavior earlier on in the series.
