Duncan Verser, the "Aspect of Chaos" and self-proclaimed ''King of the Multiversers." Duncan is known by many other titles throughout the Multiverse. A thrill-seeker at heart, he comes across as rather arrogant. However, he still strives to teach people to better themselves while increasing his own power, and retains enough of his quirks as a normal human being to keep himself relatively sane. Throughout his travels, he has done many horrible things in order to ensure peace, though he hopes his inevitable final act will be something truly good, not evil or morally gray. * AbstractApotheosis - Duncan, as the Aspect of Chaos, represents and embodies all chaos in the Multiverse.
* TheAce - The most powerful of all the Multiversers, leading an organization countless years in the making (with an army to match). His only equal is The Antiverser, and his only superior is the intelligence behind The Multiverse itself.
* AntiHero - Duncan is one of the Multiversers that fits this trope the most. While very few details have so far been given, he admits to having done terrible things in the past in the name of his Multiverser duties and is the most likely of the lot to take drastic, even murderous, measures in punishing evildoers.
* AuthorityEqualsAsskicking - As the self-titled "King of the Multiversers," he falls into this trope. Helps that he's able to kick wholesale ass without breaking a sweat.
* BadassTeacher
* BenevolentBoss - Primarily to the other Multiversers, he is a firm but fair leader. He can also be this to the others under his command (though it takes a while for those who were once evil, such as [[spoiler:Roman Torchwick]]).
* BerserkButton - Oh, does he have them:
** Cock-blocking him.
** Hurting his loved ones, especially in front of him.
** Removing the option of choice. WILL set him off.
* BrokenAce - While it has only been noticeable recently, Duncan is this. He's spent countless millennia traveling the Multiverse by his lonesome, and suffers from an encyclopedia's worth of mental issues as a result.
* DisproportionateRetribution - A comedic example. Back when he was training Michael, the younger Multiverser once pranked his mentor by putting dye in his shampoo, giving him rainbow-colored hair. His response was to go back in time and lace Michael's underwear that he would wear the day after the prank with itching powder.
* FatalFlaw - Pride. He is extremely arrogant, and if things don't go how he plans, he will lose his cool. The Antiverser himself notes how this is a big flaw for him to exploit.
* TheGadfly - He is this, and revels in it.
* GoodIsNotNice - He's fighting for the sake of protecting the Multiverse, and all who inhabit it...this does not, however, mean he's a good person. He's started wars, killed countless people, collected and unleashed destructive forces, and has allowed terrible events to occur because his master (The Multiverse) ordered him to.
* LiteralMinded - Though he only acts like this to screw with others.
* PreAsskickingOneLiner - Gives a number of these to his enemies, whether for humorous or dramatic effect...or if he's being completely serious.
** Gives one of these to Lucifer in ''MLTI VRSE'' after losing his gun and a few fingers; in response, he starts taking the fight '''much''' more seriously (to the point that both Michael and Lucifer are then fully aware of how badly the latter screwed up).
* SuperDickery - He tends to be this, to varying degrees, with friend and foe alike.

Prime Death, the "Aspect of Death'' of the Multiverse and the closest Multiverser to The End. His real name long forgotten, he grew up with difficulty expressing emotions, thus he took refuge in literature. He grew up seeing much death, both in real life and in fiction. This led him to question what Death was, exactly, up until he died. Duncan brought him to the Multiverse, where he wanted to understand everything about death itself. By the end, he became the embodiment of Death for all things in the Multiverse. His first act was to kill his past self before he was born, thus negating his old existence and cementing his new one as the Aspect of Death. His new goal now is to keep the balance between Life and Death, while teaching others to enjoy their lives until their inevitable end. Zack Verser is one of the newest Multiversers and the "Aspect of Dreams." He is unique from the other Multiversers in that he was unaware of his true nature until fairly recently. Zack is a big dreamer, both in his human life and in his Multiverser one. His main goal is to have peace in the Multiverse, an ideal that has become one of his most defining traits. Despite his want for peace, he acknowledges that peace is not always an option. Zack openly admits that he is no hero, by any stretch of the imagination. He is also one of the few Multiversers who does not incarnate himself as heroes and other characters, believing it to be stealing the accomplishments of those heroes and characters from them. He is also slightly self derogatory, constantly doubting himself. In spite of this, he will not hesitate to do what he believes is right. Michael Verser, the "Aspect of Hope", the first of the second wave of Multiversers, and Duncan's protege. Michael is unique compared to other Multiversers after Duncan, as he is still receiving training from Duncan after going into his first world (believing its more fun to learn as he goes along). Another thing that makes him different from other Multiversers is that he still retains most of his sanity (possibly due to not experiencing eternity like other Multiversers), and as such is still the same as he was when he was human (though is starting to become a bit more and more like his mentor). * AllMenArePerverts - Due to taking in the likes of Issei Hyoudou, Meliodas, and Sterling Archer, Michael has a ''very'' healthy appreciation to the female body. Add in his half-Incubus nature he received from Dexter, and he's a real horn dog.
* AmbiguouslyBrown - After becoming a Multiverser, he gains a skin tan. Deepens a bit with the inclusion of a few of his mental roommates.
* AnimalMotifs - With dragons and wolves.

* TheAntiNihilist - Despite his boundless hope and optimism, he isn't naive enough to think that everyone is a good person. However, despite witnessing humanity at its absolute worse, he never loses faith in mankind's collective capacity for good.
* AttractiveBentGender - Due to taking in Ranma Saotome, Michael turns into a beautiful and curvaceous woman named "Michelle Verser" every time he's splashed with cold water (when he isn't blocking that out). He can also shift into that form at will.
* BerserkButton - Has a number of these from his travels as a Multiverser. This includes:
** Fucking up the music of Biz Markie. He will wreck your shit.
** Reminding him of all the people he failed to save, as well as disrespecting the dead.
** Hurting his family and loved ones. This is a surefire way to get an ass whooping, or worse.
** Gary, the dumb NPC from ''WebVideo/SwordArtOnlineAbridged''. Having gone through the near total loss of the Moonlit Black Cats with Dexter because of Gary's stupidity, the mere sight and mention of him can be enough to instantly send Michael into a psychotic berserk rage.
** Rape (see TraumaButton down below).
** Walter Padick/The Man in Black serves as a living, breathing one for Michael.
* TheBerserker - Due to taking in mental roommates like [[spoiler:Eren Yeager (complete with the Attacker Titan form)]], Michael has a tendency to let his emotions overcome him and turn him into an emotionally driven fighter. ** Has a tendency to be taken UpToEleven due to both his heroic nature and SerialEscalation beyond his control. He sees a young woman get ether ragged and taken outside by a group of shady men? He gets up from his date to beat them to a bloody pulp. A teammate is captured and about to be put through hell? Fight his way through an army to save them, despite the physical harm it will cause him. A city is under attack from a horde of monsters? Expect him to charge in headfirst to wipe out as many of the creatures threatening others as he physically can.
* CluelessChickMagnet - At first, and this is only [[spoiler:due to his own PTSD from being raped by Viper/Madame Hydra messing with his mind for many years]]. He eventually starts shaking this off, however.

** One example is in ''Young Multiverser'', where he takes on Trigon for the first time in that world in a battle to save Raven from a FateWorseThanDeath. He not only took him on alone at one point, but even managed to destroy his temporary body with explosive weapons. While this resulted in him becoming ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice afterwards and beaten to near death, the fact he defeated Trigon while already near death prior to this is noteworthy.
* DraconicHumanoid - Over the course of his lifetime, he has steadily gained many aspects and traits of draconian beings. This culminates in him eventually being regarded as a Humanoid Dragon, especially once Great Red gives him a new body made from his flesh. It reaches the point where practically every dragon recognizes him as one of their own, if not their superior/leader.
* DragonAncestry - Played with, as due to having mental roommates such as Sieg/Siegfried (''VisualNovel/FateApocrypha''), Arthur Pendragon (''VideoGame/FateGrandOrder''), and [[spoiler:Jon Snow/Aegon Targaryen (''Series/GameOfThrones'')]],

He has a strong moral code, and is horrified by a number of the atrocities he learns of that his fellow Versers have committed. He is also the most idealistic and unwavering in his ideals, willing to do whatever he can to save others and never stop believing in them; this causes him to believe there is hope in redeeming Duncan of his past crimes.
* FieryRedhead - Is this due to being in touch with his emotions more than other Multiversers.
* FriendToAllChildren - Has a soft spot for kids, and is shown to shower his own children with love and affection. Hurting or bad-mouthing kids around him is a surefire way to piss him off.
** Averted with monstrous and sociopathic children, such as Chara (''VideoGame/{Undertale}'') or Assassin of Black/Jack the Ripper (''LightNovel/FateApocrypha''); them he actively avoids or hates, and even put down before others are hurt by their actions.
* FromNobodyToNightmare - A heroic example. He was once a nobody human from another universe, until The Order ruined his home and nearly killed him after killing his family. After being rescued by Duncan Verser, he was turned into a multiverse-travelling, omnipotent demigod with the power to go to worlds that he thought only existed in fiction. As a result, he has gone through several events that would break ordinary men, and has come out of it as not only one of the strongest beings in existence, but a shining beacon of hope for all of creation.
* TheGadfly - Due to being Spider-Man, Michael acquires his ability to talk the ears off his enemies and annoy them greatly.
* GenderBender - Due to taking in Ranma Saotome as a mental roommate, Michael fell into the Spring of Drowned Girl. As a result, whenever he gets doused with cold water (and when his powers aren't preventing it), he turns into a young woman. Includes the trope of AttractiveBentGender, as Michael is rather beautiful in his "Michelle" form.

He honestly believes that the ends ''never'' justify the means and that lives should never be sacrificed to reach any goal. He has also shown that he feels deep disgust at acts of murder and feels remorse and disgust with himself for killing another, even if that person was evil beyond all measure.

His words lit such a fire in everyone, that everyone got a HeroicSecondWind, and even Duncan Verser reawakened a part of his old self and gained back a number of abilities. Considering that he is the "Aspect of Hope," this makes sense. However...
* HopeIsScary - He has moments of this, as he is afraid that if he reaches a truly low point in his life, Hope would give him the strength to go on...and force him to realize that he has yet to reach rock bottom.
* HopeSpringsEternal - Even in the most darkest of hours, despite all the odds being stacked against the heroes, Michael holds out the hope that eventually, whether that day or a future one, the BigBad will be defeated.
* HopelessWithTech - Played with, as he can be good with technology (albeit only with the assistance of his personal BenevolentAI)...managing explosives, on the other hand...
* HotBlooded - One of the more emotionally driven of the Multiversers, Michael tends to think with his heart more than his head.
* HowMuchMoreCanHeTake - Due to his {{Determinator}} status, and being MadeOfIron, Michael is able to take '''A LOT''' of physical punishment in a fight, and keep on going.
** In ''MLTI VRSE'', he lost both of his robotic arms, got beat and cut up, and was impaled in the torso. After getting a HeroicSecondWind, he later faces off against an army of Grimm, but keeps fighting despite all the damage he takes (even intending to go down fighting). When he survives that, he gets into one final brawl with Satan Verser, and is running on fumes...and despite his exhaustion, he is able to pull a victory out of his ass and beat down his evil self.

* ShellShockedVeteran – Michael has been through thirteen different kinds of hell in the beginning of his Multiverser career. [[spoiler:Starting from the end of his time as Spider-Man, he’s had to make several rough calls in his life, from having to kill mercilessly to keep others safe (''LightNovel/ReMonster''); fighting in a few wars, both covert (''WebAnimation/RedVsBlue'', [Project Freelancer flashbacks]) and overt (''VideoGame/{{Halo}}''; ''WebAnimation/RedVsBlue'' [Chorus Trilogy]); fighting in battles for the survival of mankind (''Manga/AttackOnTitan''; ''Anime/NeonGenesisEvangelion''); and even participating in a few wars to keep the balance of life and death safe (''Manga/{{Bleach}}''). Whether or not he tries to find it, however, depends on how generally evil/dangerous the person in question is, and he has no qualms about killing if he thinks it is necessary. A crossbow-wielding crimefighter with the ability to shift into a shadowy form in order to pass through solid objects and move extra quickly. She began as a solo hero, but was arrested for nearly killing a criminal when she staked him to the wall with a crossbow bolt. As a condition of her parole, she was given probationary status in the Wards and required to use nonlethal ammunition, a requirement she ignores when the Wards aren't looking. Her obsession with strength made it very easy for Chalice to convince her to join her.

** Stuff like pepper spray also has a nasty effect on her due to gases being directly absorbed into her body while in shadow form.
* AlphaBitch - Considers herself to be the top dog and makes sure everyone knows it.

* ArchEnemy - To Taylor Hebert/Skitter. Originally starting as nothing but one of Taylor's bullies, Sophia became one of her worst enemies when the two each discovered the other to have powers.
* BoxedCrook - As a vigilante who nearly killed someone, she didn't have much of a choice when it came to joining the Wards. After joining Chalice, however, she no longer counts as this.

* FreudianExcuse - Simply put, he's tired of being life's bitch and sees his actions as "taking control."
* GracefulLoser - Oddly enough, when he ''is'' finally defeated, he is 100% calm and accepting of whatever punishment is in store for him.
* HardWorkHardlyWorks - Despite the inhuman amount of studying and work he did in his youth, at the detriment to any kind of social life he may have had, he still found himself as life's ButtMonkey, which is pretty much the whole reason for his actions.
* HumansAreBastards - To quote the man himself, "If crimes could be solved by appealing to morality, we wouldn't need the police!"
* {{Hypocrite}} - His belief that humans are hypocrites is ironic because of how much of a hypocrite he really is. He makes other people's lives miserable while still acting like he's the only one who's had a rough existence, calls the Multiversers and their allies self-righteous for their responses to his long tirade against how much humanity and reality suck, and claims that they're only pursuing him because they wanted some excitement in their boring lives. Then again, he probably knows it and just doesn't care.
* IJustWantToBeSpecial - Beneath everything he does and says, he's really just desperate to validate his own existence.
* InsaneTrollLogic - He keeps insinuating that he only put Mayumi and Saki into Mayonaka and that it was the world itself that killed them. The world shaped by the thoughts and feelings all humanity. Therefore, everyone is responsible for their deaths, including the heroes. They rightfully point out why that's bullshit.
* ItsAllAboutMe - Whatever pain and misery other people go through, especially those of the families of his victims, is apparently insignificant to his suffering.
* ItIsBeyondSaving - His view on humanity.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold - Eventually develops into one after joining Chalice's Brigade.
* KickTheDog - His casual attitude toward the killings he committed. Even if you believe that he didn't know Mayumi would fall into the TV and die, it's clear that he was out to harm her from the beginning.
* LackOfEmpathy - Adachi encourages his teenage enemies to adopt this mindset when they get older, claiming that life is tough enough as it is without having to be bogged down by the feelings of those around them.
* MoralSociopathy - When he's finally outed as a killer, he never makes attempts to deny it ever again. Why? It's the "rules" for the "game" he made of it in his head.
* MoralityPet - Kids, strangely enough. He seems to genuinely like innocent children.
* NeverMyFault - He got a bad shake, that's all, his idiot superiors dumped him in Inaba, they overreacted. Besides, he was gentlemanly, there was something wrong with those "stupid bitches" for getting it in their head to reject him. Besides, they were just playing Namatame, right? Really, he did the world a favor. For the record, you're all just as bad if not worse for going on this adventure to stop him, selfish brats. ...Yeah, you get the idea.
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness - Once the bumbling detective facade is dropped, he becomes ''ridiculously'' competent.

* PoliceAreUseless - Shares this attitude with most of his enemies, but for different reasons. Being a police officer himself gives him a veritable front row seat to all the bureaucratic hand-wringing, shortcuts, pitfalls, and misfires of law enforcement that he finds himself lamenting over, more out of the consequence that as a detective, he has to get yanked around by these incompetent decisions. The fact that they can't seem to find the Killer out, despite him being smack dab in their midst, possible amplified this sentiment.

Also works to her being the "Goddess of Magic in the Multiverse"; he puts his faith more in science than in mysticism. Plus, he thinks of himself as a scientist, distancing himself from the idea of being anything resembling a "god".
** Is a foil to Adam Verser, too. Both of them are examples of a SouthernGentleman, but unlike Adam, Ezran's actions belie a complete and utter bastard. In addition, unlike Adam, whose accent slips into a British one when he gets seriously pissed off (for fun), Ezran's devolves into a stereotypical Southern drawl (a clear sign of how deathly serious he is becoming).
* TheFundamentalist - Averted. Ezran's father was a devout Christian who shunned the very thing that his son loved: science and knowledge. He believed that any book that isn't the Bible or some other holy text was blasphemy, and regularly burned his son's books. This instilled a deep hatred of religion in him.
* ImplausibleFencingPowers - '''Extremely''' skilled with a rapier.
* MadScientist - Views everything around him as something to dissect and learn knowledge from.

This causes her to hold a great deal of respect in Michael (despite his goal of peace), as he has fought against countless foes and faced down death multiple times, even when it seems like he might lose. It is enough for her to call him a "muddled reflection" of herself, and will lash out against anyone who disrespects him.

* HollywoodHacking - It doesn't matter what gets in his way tech-wise, Architect will ram through it and turn the tables on anyone who thinks they can outsmart him or whoever he's working with.
* MechanicalEvolution - Architect is constantly evolving with every piece of tech he assimilates or comes across. As Adam himself put it: "Sooner or later, even if we're still alive, Architect WILL become the smartest being in the Multiverse."
* MundaneMadeAwesome - He has a way of making even the most boring of events fun, by spicing it up in a way that will get everyone going, whether they like it or not.
