%%* ImpliedLoveInterest: While it is ultimately up to the player to determine who Rean will be with, Alisa's unique scenes are slightly more intimate compared to the other females in the party, thus potentially making her this to Rean. !Rean Schwarzer
-->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/KoukiUchiyama (Japanese), Sean Chiplock (English)

** BadassBiker: becomes this thanks to Angelica [[spoiler:who eventually loans and later gives him her bike]]
* BigBrotherInstinct: He's fiercly protective of Elise, something that dates back to an incident from their childhood. [[spoiler: The first time we see his SuperpoweredEvilSide is when he uses it to protect her.]]

* FlashStep: He performs this when using ''[[ContinuityNod Hayate]]''.
* HappilyAdopted: While the circumstances leading to his being adopted are unknown right now, all indications are that Rean is mostly happy.
* HeroesPreferSwords: He's the first protagonist in the series to actually ''use'' a sword.
* KatanasAreJustBetter: As with previous examples, it's not any inherent property of the weapon but the skill of the wielder. Rean studied under [[OldMaster Yun Kafai]], teacher of [[BigGood Cassius]], [[BewareTheSillyOnes Anelace]] and [[MasterSwordsman Arios]].
* KillItWithFire: His secondary element is Fire and it shows in some of his Crafts.

[[spoiler:And yes, the speed with which it happens is foreshadowing.]] It happens again when he takes a break from your active party to force Laura and Fie to fight together.

!Alisa Reinford
-->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/YuiHorie (Japanese)

The daughter of the president of the largest company in the Empire, a fact that she tries to hide at first. A very intense girl, like Rean she chose to attend Thors to find her own path.

* AcademicAthlete: She joins the Lacrosse Club and is one of the top-performing students in the Midterm Exams.
* TheArcher: She uses an Orbal Bow as her weapon.
* ArrowsOnFire: Several of her skills, including Flamberge, Melt Rain and her S-Craft Rosetta Arrow.
* DisappearedDad: He died of an illness seven years ago, an event that led to her mother throwing herself into her work and eventually the breakup of the family.
* BigFancyHouse: The twenty-five floor Reinford Building ''is'' her house. Well, the first twenty-three floors are used by the company but it still manages to be an enormous house.
* GraspTheSun: She does this with the stars during her nighttime conversation with Rean in Nord Highlands, while remembering how her family fell apart.
* HairDecorations: She keeps her short sidetails in place with an elaborate hairclip and ribbon ensemble.
* ImprobableAimingSkills: She unrolls a coiled-up ladder by hitting it with an arrow just so.
** [[spoiler:Subverted, it only worked because [[CuteWitch Emma]] made it possible]]
* LonelyRichKid: In her case, her family fortune only isolates her from the Commoners. She would fit in just fine with the Nobles, except that by virtue of not being one herself they don't accept her either. Except Angelica, who isn't exactly a traditionalist. She joined Thors (and tried to keep everyone from finding out her last name) so she could find a place where she belongs.
* LuminescentBlush: She gets this when people tease her about how well she and Rean get along, especially when it's her [[CoolOldGuy grandfather]].
* MrFixit: Gets a great 'who do you think I am anyways?' moment when the students are trying to figure out the cause of an automobile accident and Alisa starts poking around in the engine compartment. Since her family business is ''making'' all of the Empire's Orbal machines, of course she's picked up a thing or two.
* SecretlyWealthy: At first, she only identifies herself as 'Alisa R' to her classmates, preferring not to be associated with her family or their business (the largest manufacturing company in the Empire with the wealth to match it). She doesn't do a very good job of hiding the truth, though she keeps her identity a secret longer than most of her classmates.
* SugarAndIcePersonality: Ice towards Rean, Sugar towards everyone else. The Ice part largely goes away by the end of Chapter 1 after she and Rean patch things up, though it occasionally creeps back in.
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Want to distract Alisa from whatever is bothering her (even if it's ''you'')? Offer her some apricot jam.
* {{Tsundere}}: She has a mild case of this towards Rean. It's not a major aspect of her character (it only started after [[ThanksForTheMammary the accident]]) and it only lasts three weeks, during which ''she's'' trying to find a way to apologize for overreacting as much as Rean is trying to apologize for the incident that sparked it.

!Eliot Craig
-->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/RyokoShiraishi (Japanese), Creator/LucienDodge (English)

The son of the famous General Craig, a sweet kid who would really rather be a musician than a soldier.

* CuteShotaroBoy: He looks adorable, deliberately according to [[WordOfGod Kondo]].
* EverythingsBetterWithRainbows: Seventh Rhapsody.
* {{Fanboy}}: Of Misty and Vita.
* GradualRegeneration: Echoes/Resonance Beat grants this to all allies in range, along with a DEF boost. At 200 CP, his second S-Craft Remedy Oratorio also gets this effect as an added bonus, at 50% per turn.
* JockDadNerdSon: Well, Military Dad, Artistic Son but the dynamic is the same. [[FourStarBadass General Craig]] [[TheRedBaron the Red]] was rather unimpressed with his son's desire to pursue a career in music and forcibly enrolled him at Thors. [[spoiler:By the end of Sen II, he changes his mind]]
* MagicMusic: All of his Crafts have a musical theme to them. His S-Craft even involves transforming his Orbal Staff into a violin and [[MusicalAssassin playing it for massive damage]]. In the sequel he's able to summon a pipe organ.
* MagicStaff: He uses an Orbal Staff as his weapon.
* MasterOfNone: Like Emma, he is the only character to have ranks in all four attack types but each individual rank is extremely low. He'll never encounter an enemy he can't Break but at the same time, his odds aren't as good as dedicated fighters. The fact that he does magical damage makes up for it to an extent since he can easily hurt enemies that strongly resist physical damage.
* NiceGuy
* SeriousBusiness: The performance at the Academy Festival. Eliot is normally the sweetest kid around but when it comes to doing music right, he can be positively scary.
* ShoutOut: The Music Club's performance in Chapter 5 of Sen is a huge one to Cagesong of the Ocean, right down to the circumstances that see Eliot participating and the song itself.
* SpellMyNameWithAnS: Does his name need that second "l", or not?
* SupportPartyMember: His Craft selection veers sharply towards support, with an analyzing skill, a healing/recovering skill and a DEF-boosting/HP Regen skill. His only attack skill for much of the game does low damage though he get a better one towards the end of the game and his S-Craft is fairly powerful.
* TookALevelInBadass: Becomes more capable and confident in himself over the course of Sen, though at the end if you see his special scene he'll admit he still has a way to go.

!Laura S. Arseid
-->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/MariyaIse (Japanese), Creator/MarishaRay (English)

The only child of Viscount Arseid of Legram, a diligent student of the sword who seeks to perfect her craft. Unlike most Nobles, she doesn't pay much regard to class differences.

* AnimalMotifs: Lions, both as a student at Thors generally and personaly, as reflected in her second S-Craft.
* {{Badass}}: Rean (no slouch in this department himself) thinks that none of the first-years at Thors could beat her in a fight. She's the daughter of the finest swordsman in the Empire after all. Events of the game will demonstrate that Rean's belief is quite justified.
* {{BFS}}: She wields a bastard sword, it deals Crushing-type damage in addition to Slashing and is capable of stunning most enemies on the field even when they're facing the player, regardless of level.
* BlueBlood: The Arseids are one of the preeminent military families of the Empire, on par with the famed Vanders.
* BoobsOfSteel: Averted, actually. Laura is the strongest female party member and she's ''one of'' the bustiest but it's actually [[WhiteMagicianGirl Emma]] who has the largest chest.
* FantasticFightingStyle: Her family has taught students how to fight (with more than just swords) since the time of the Lion War and the Arseid Style is famous within the Empire; it and the Vander Style are indisputably the most respected styles in Erebonia.
** Also, As a student of the sword Laura is very interested in Rean's Hachiyou Ittou style. In fact, she's [[TellMeHowYouFight able to recognize that Rean uses it]] before he tells anyone.
* HonorBeforeReason: Laura is a very straightforward person, which causes some friction in her interactions with her classmates. She eventually gets over it.
* InstantFanClub: There are two things every female in Legram seems to agree on: One, boys suck. Two, Laura is awesome.
** She also has one of these at St. Astraea, which she doesn't even attend.
* KillItWithWater: A number of her Crafts have a watery component and it's her primary element.
* {{Malaproper}}: Sometimes says things that sound a little weird, particularly when she tries to use slang. Her general manner of speaking also stands out for being ''extremely'' formal and somewhat old-fashioned.
* MysteriousMiddleInitial: Since this is a Falcom game and they don't usually give middle initials, you can bet we're going to learn what it's short for eventually.
* ShelteredAristocrat: She's a bit clueless about how the real world works at times but she doesn't let it get in the way of her life. Her father being a quintessential ReasonableAuthorityFigure helps since her lack of traditional Noble prejudices makes it easier for her to adapt to Thors.
* StatuesqueStunner
* WalkingTechbane: She can handle a Tactical Orbment just fine but she's hopeless with more domestic applications of Orbal science and managed to set several on fire while trying to operate them.
* YouGottaHaveBlueHair

!Machias Regnitz
-->'''Voiced by:''' Takuya Satou (Japanese), Edward Bosco (English)

The only son of Karl Regnitz, Governor of Heimdallr and leading champion of Osborne's reformist movement. Where Nobles are concerned, he has a chip on his shoulder bigger than his shotgun and he's determined to prove himself better than all of them.

* AggressiveCategorism: He's a Commoner and ''really'' doesn't like Nobles. He gets along with [[BlueBlood Jusis]] about as well as you would expect.
* BadassBookworm: One of the most academically gifted students at Thors (the only person who can ever best him is Emma) and he can frequently be found in the library on his days off. He's also one of the best characters in the game combat-wise.
* {{BFG}}: He pulls one out for his S-Craft Maximum Shot.
* BlindWithoutEm: As he admits to Rean at one point when he takes his glasses off [[ItMakesSenseInContext in an attempt to avoid being identified]]. Rean suggests Machias just follow his lead rather than try to lead himself.
* BoringButPractical: He gets a natural area of effect attack and the new Orbment system allows you to stack status-causing Quartz. His basic attack becomes one of the most powerful things in the game once you get your hands on enough Quartz.
* ButtMonkey: He's the subject of most of Fie's trolling and any time a Noble [[TheScapegoat wants to blame someone for anything]] or take their frustrations out, he's usually first in line because of who his father is.
* ChessMotifs: Actualized in his second S-Craft, when he summons [[RuleOfCool enormous chess pieces]] to aid him in attacking the enemy]]
* ClassRepresentative: The Vice-Representative specifically.
* {{Fanboy}}: Of Misty and Vita.
* NotSoAboveItAll: His normally stoic demeanor flies completely out the window when he's around Vita and he tries (and fails miserably) not to act like the starstruck fanboy he secretly is.
* OnlySaneMan: Machias will often comment on remarkable things everyone else is too GenreSavvy to worry about.
* [[SecretlyWealthy Secretly Well-Connected]]: His father is the governor of Heimdallr and a champion of the reformist faction. Machias tries to hide this at first, not wanting to seem like he's taking advantage of his father's position. He makes it maybe half an hour before Jusis calls him out.
* ShotgunsAreJustBetter: His primary weapon is a shotgun. It can fire slugs (in some Crafts) and buckshot and gives him a natural area of effect attack. Solid Cartridge is especially nasty, having a huge effect area and coming with a high chance of causing Petrify.
* SmartPeoplePlayChess
* StoicSpectacles

!Jusis Albarea
-->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/ShinnosukeTachibana (Japanese), Creator/BenDiskin (English)

The second son of Duke Albarea of Bareahard, head of one of the Four Families. As such, he has the highest social standing of all the first-years and knows it. A devotee of Erebonia's ancient traditions of knighthood.

* {{Bishonen}}
* BlueBlood: The Albareas are one of the Four Families, he's as Noble with a capital N as you can get.
* [[spoiler:BoomerangBigot: Some of his attitude towards Commoners stems from the fact that he was born and raised as one and always felt out of place among the Albareas as a result. He aggressively plays up the mannerisms expected of a Noble to make up for it.]]
* ConflictingLoyalty: A source of dramatic tension for him once he begins opening up to the rest of Class VII is what's more important to him, his new friends or his family.
* DefrostingIceQueen: Male version, starting when the party visits Bareahard.
* {{Expy}}: He pretty much looks like a younger [[{{Franchise/Ys}} Chester Stoddart]] and fights with a similar sword. If he wasn't part of Class VII, the white uniform Nobles get would make the resemblance even closer.
* FanOfThePast: He is interested in old-style swordsmanship from Erebonia's past and he's a member of the Equestrian Club at Thors.
* FriendToAllChildren: Gets along with children with unexpected ease, and two kids in Bareahard revere him. It's only Miriam he can't handle.
* HeroesPreferSwords: Uses a 'Knight's Sword' as his weapon.
* [[spoiler:HeroicBastard: He and Rufus are only half-brothers. His mother was a Commoner that their father slept with. This explains a ''lot'' of his initial jerkass moments.]]
* ImNotHereToMakeFriends: Jusis wants everyone in Class VII to know that he is not their friend and has no interest in becoming friends with any of them, especially the Commoners. When visiting Bareahard, he refers to the other members as 'just classmates, nothing more'. [[spoiler:At the end of the chapter, he starts defrosting and when confronting his family troops, he calls Class VII his friends]].
* InstantRunes: Creates these when performing his S-Craft Crystal Sabre.
* JackOfAllStats: He's extremely well balanced, has high levels in two attack types and can fill any role required depending on who else you have in your party. His only real downside is an unimpressive S-Craft.
* {{Jerkass}}: He's noted as coming off as one, though he doesn't necessarily mean to.
** JerkWithAHeartOfGold: What he becomes eventually.
* MagicKnight: He fights with a sword and has several nice attack Crafts, one Craft that does ''magical'' damage (making him the only playable character in the franchise so far to be able to inflict both with Crafts alone) and an exceptional mass buffing skill. He also has a nice EP pool, above average ATS and an Orbment setup that's good for accumulating a lot of powerful Arts if you want to set him up that way.
* NotSoDifferent: He tries to deflate Machias' self-righteous anger at 'Noble priviledge' by pointing out that the latter is almost as priviledged as he is, just in a different way. As it turns out, this is true of them in other respects as well, not that they're likely to admit it.
* TheProudElite: ''Very'' proud of his heritage and he'll make sure you know it. [[spoiler:Of course, it turns out he's a Commoner by birth...]]
* ShoutOut: His Precious Sword skill is essentially a cut-down version of Loewe's ''Meiouken''.
* [[spoiler: TheUnfavourite: As soon as he's assigned to a training mission to Bareahard, it becomes clear Jusis is uneasy about returning home. When he briefly sees his father again, it becomes very clear they aren't on good terms. The absolute coldness of the brush-off leaves even ''Machias'' sympathizing with him.]]
* [[spoiler:WellDoneSonGuy]]

!Emma Millstein
-->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/SaoriHayami (Japanese), Rena Strober (English)

The most academically gifted member of the incoming class at Thors, a Commoner who aced the national exams in order to win a spot at the prestigious academy.

* BadLiar: [[spoiler:She's not terribly good at concealing the fact that Something Is Up with the cat she's taking care of when Rean catches her ''talking'' to the cat. She's also not very good at deflecting suspicion whenever she does something magical-looking, like making Alisa's arrow improbably hit its mark or picking a lock]].
* ClassRepresentative
* [[spoiler:CuteWitch]]
** [[spoiler:AllWitchesHaveCats: Her familiar Celine]]
* DeathFromAbove: Lord Arberion, which could also be called [[ZeroNoKiseki Galion Tower]] [[SpamAttack Spam]].
* EverythingsBetterWithRainbows: Her second S-Craft, Zodiac Rain.
* HealingHerb: Her grandmother taught her all sorts of things about herbcraft, including how to make medicines from these. It comes in handy when Rean takes a nasty wound during a training exercise.
* KindHeartedCatLover: She snuck a homeless cat into her dorm room against the rules so she could care for it. [[spoiler: Or did she?]]
* [[spoiler:HypnoticEyes: Emma can exercise a limited form of mind control so long as she can maintain eye contact. It requires her to remove her glasses and she is reluctant to use it. Her EvilCounterpart, not so much.]]
* MagicStaff: She uses an Orbal Staff, though of a different type than Eliot.
* [[spoiler:MagicalIncantation: She has powers similar to those granted by Orbments but without actually needing one, which she says might as well be called 'magic' for convenience. Her powers seem to require a magical word to function.]]
* MasterOfNone: Like Eliot, she is the only character to have ranks in all four attack types but each individual rank is extremely low. She'll never encounter an enemy she can't Break but at the same time, her odds aren't as good as dedicated fighters. The fact that she does magical damage makes up for it to an extent.
* {{Meganekko}}
* MostCommonSuperpower: She manages to subvert BoobsOfSteel (she's a magical powerhouse, not a physical one) but still has the largest chest of anyone in Class VII. Fie lampshades this on several occasions when Emma gets visibly tired while climbing up ladders.
** During one of Emma's bonding events, [[MaleGaze Rean even catches himself staring.]]
* OhCrap: [[spoiler:Her reaction to hearing Vita's voice over the radio]]
* [[spoiler:RequiredPartyMember: She has to be in your team in the final dungeon, though she doesn't have to be in your active party. This is because she and Celine need to be there to explain what it is that you're seeing]]
* [[TheSmartGuy The Smart Girl]]: She earned a scholarship to Thors as a result of being the top scorer on a national exam. She's easily the smartest member of Class VII academically (and the top scorer in the entire school on the Midterm Exam) and it's all by virtue of hard work.
* SwordBeam: Etherial Edge fires a number of sword-shaped projectiles at the enemy.
* TarotCards: She can be seen reading cards during an optional scene if the player saw another optional event scene with Emma earlier in the day. Rean asks for and gets a reading from her, though she admits she's not very good at it. She also uses what might be a tarot card in one of her Crafts.
** TarotTroubles: She notes to herself but not to Rean that she's uneasy about the card she drew for him. Wheel of Fortune in fact, not one of the traditionally portentious ones.
* TeamMom

!Fie Claussell
-->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/HisakoKanemoto (Japanese), Creator/CassandraLee (English)

The youngest and most mysterious member of Class VII, a quiet girl from another country who evidently knew Sara before being assigned to Class VII. When she isn't napping, she is quite an athlete.

* AnimalMotifs: Cats.
* BareYourMidriff: Her new outfit in Sen II [[spoiler:which seems to be based on what she wore as a Jaeger.]]
* CatchPhrase: She borrows Tio's own phrase: What a bother.
* CrazyPrepared: She carries a grappling hook with her on the first day of school. You never know when you might need it to escape from a mandatory orientation session.
* DaddyHadAGoodReasonForAbandoningYou: [[spoiler:Well, ordering everyone else to abandon you at any rate. He didn't ''want'' his adoptive daughter to throw her life away as a mercenary so he ordered the rest of Zephyr to disband after his death, hoping Fie would find another path in life.]]
* [[spoiler:DistaffCounterpart: To Randy Orlando. Both are the (biological or adopted) children of prominent Jaegers, both left their respective group and both their fathers died at each others hands. Randy hides his trauma behind a mask of cheerfulness while Fie goes for the emotionless approach. Both also use gun/sword hybrid weapons and both have a similar Craft (Crash Bomb vs Flash Grenade)]].
** [[spoiler:Both also wind up on the opposite side of a conflict from their former teammates, as remnants of Zephyr are working for the group that attacks Thors at the end of the game, much like Red Constellation attacked Crossbell]]
* DoppelgangerAttack: Her second S-Craft, Shadow Brigade.
* DualWielding: Her fighting style.
* EmotionlessGirl: Almost all of her lines are spoken in complete deadpan, whether she's encouraging Class VII to get moving or hamstringing a giant monster.
* ExoticWeaponSupremacy: Her Gunswords (pistols with bayonets) give her a solid B rank in all attack types except Crushing, making her extremely versatile.
* FlashStep: It's something she does in several of her moves, most notably her S-Craft.
* GreenThumb: She's part of the Gardening Club.
* IAmNotLeftHanded: Laura notices when the class is swimming that Fie is deliberately holding back and challenges her to a rematch. In fact, Fie holds back frequently, which is one reason the extremely straightforward Laura has trouble relating to her.
* ImprobableAge: She's notably younger than the rest of Class VII.
** RealityEnsues: And as a result, she needs a bit of help with her schoolwork.
* {{Invisibility}} She gets the ability to grant herself Stealth and a 50% SPD boost in Sen II via Aerial Hide. As a bonus, if she attacks while invisible she gets an automatic Critical.
* KindheartedCatLover: Shows that she doesn't just like to imitate cats during a sidequest in Heimdallr, when she calms down an aggressive cat.
* MysteriousPast: Her past before coming to Thors is a mystery she's not inclined to talk about, though she seems to be able to recognize military hardware on sight, has extremely acute senses and incredible athletic prowess and has a knack for explosives...
** Some of the WildMassGuessing pre-release turned out to be [[IKnewIt more or less right on the money]]. [[spoiler:She's an orphan who was adopted by the leader of the Jaeger group Zephyr. He's now dead, which is how Fie found herself at Thors. When the members of Zephyr scattered after their leader died, Fie was left alone and was found by Sara and recruited for Olivier's Class VII project.]]
* ShadowArchetype: One that she recognizes, during one of her Bond Events. [[spoiler:[[AxCrazy Shirley Orlando]]]] is the kind of person Fie could have become if she hadn't met everyone in Class VII.
* NoSocialSkills: [[spoiler:After Jusis' father brushes him off, he's left standing in the street staring. Fie, lacking any social niceties, is the first person to ask Jusis what just happened.]]
* {{Sleepyhead}}: She is noted to nap like a cat and can sleep just about anywhere. The [[EstablishingCharacterMoment opening movie]] shows her napping on a bench and her victory pose [[UpToEleven is her yawning]]. Her initial time at Thors consisted largely of finding places to nap.
* SpinAttack: Sylphid Dance finishes with her spinning in a circle while rapid-firing both of her guns.
* TheQuietOne: Rarely speaks unless spoken to and her responses are usually minimalistic.
* TrickBomb: Her Flash Grenade skill (also used in cutscenes) has a chance to inflict Blind and/or Paralysis in a wide area, though it does very little direct damage.
* {{Troll}}: It's not clear whether some of her early interactions are deliberate trolling or if she just doesn't care to interact with her classmates. Later on, it becomes obvious she's doing some of it on purpose. She particularly seems to enjoy tweaking Machias.
* WhiteHairedPrettyGirl

!Gaius Worzel
-->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/YoshimasaHosoya (Japanese), Creator/KaijiTang (English)

A young man from the distant Nord Highlands at the edge of the Empire. Leaving his family behind, he attends Thors to learn of the world beyond his homeland.

* BigBrotherWorship: He has three younger siblings who all look up to him.
* BladeOnAStick: His primary weapon is a cruciform spear.
* CatchPhrase: "The Wind", sometimes with "and the Goddess" added. [[LampshadeHanging Lampshaded]] once by Rean and Jusis.
* [[TattooAsCharacterType Cool Tattoos]]: He has scrolling tattoos on his arms and wears his uniforms with rolled-up sleeves to show them off. It's a tribal custom.
* DeathFromAbove: Savage Fang and his S-Craft Calamity Hawk.
* DualWielding: He pulls out a second spear for his new S-Craft, Expel Lancer.
* FunnyForeigner: How he's seen by other students, despite not actually being a foreigner... but he's from Nord Highlands and that's almost foreign, right?
* GoodOldWays: The Nord Highlands are a remote region of the Empire that haven't changed much in at least the past three hundred or so years. His family still lives nomadically.
* NatureSpirit: He prays to Eidos (and is first encountered by the player at Trista's church) but he also talks about the traditional belief in the Wind, which is what the nomads of Nord Highlands believe in.
* NonstandardSkillAcquisition: He can learn Hunter Wing from a Bond Event earlier than normal, though if the player doesn't see it they'll still get the skill eventually via leveling up.
* ParentalIssues: Averted, Gaius is the ''only'' member of Class VII to have both a full set of loving parents and no relationship issues whatsoever.
* PowerGivesYouWings: While performing his S-Craft, he appears to have burning wings and a tail sprouting from his back in the shape of a hawk.
* ScholarshipStudent: He earned one from an officer in the Imperial Army [[spoiler:Sechs Vander, Mueller's uncle]] which allows him to attend Thors despite not being as academically qualified as the other students.
* SupernaturalSensitivity: His 'wind sense' allows him to notice when he enters an area where the higher elements are active.
* TornadoMove: Several of his Crafts are this.
* [[WarriorPoet Warrior Artist]]: He grew up hunting with a spear, he attends Thors Military Academy and he enjoys painting in his spare time.

!Crow Armbrust
-->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/TakahiroSakurai

A Common-born second-year student at Thors and part of the group that provides encouragement to Class VII. He joins Class VII himself temporarily because his slacking off left him needing extra academic credits in order to graduate on time. He rarely takes himself too seriously.

* AsleepInClass: After he temporarily joins Class VII, the first thing he can be seen doing is sleeping his way through a lecture on the Lion War.
* [[spoiler:BecomingTheMask: Hinted to have had a mild case of this but not enough to change his plans. Crow claims that he only came to Thors as a cover for his operation but he had to pause for a second when Rean asked him if their friendship was all a lie before he could answer and his ARCUS [[ThePowerOfFriendship resonated with all the others]] at the end of the game. It's possible that the Crow we see for most of the game and hear about from Towa, Angelica and Georges is the 'real' Crow while what we see at the end of the game is the person he's forcing himself to be in pursuit of his goals]]
* [[spoiler:BigBadFriend: He's <C>, the leader of the Imperial Liberation Front. He's also the true final boss of Sen]]
* BrickJoke: He ''finally'' pays back Rean the 50 Mira he borrowed at the start of the term, right at the end of the term, having 'forgotten' to return it several times previously.
* [[spoiler:ColdSniper: Acts this way when targeting Osborne as <C>, though as Crow he's closer to FriendlySniper.]]
* DefeatMeansFriendship: By way of NoodleIncident, how he became friends with Towa and the others.
* [[spoiler:TheDragon: Despite being the BigBad of Sen, it's obvious that Vita is really in charge.]]
* DualWielding: Uses a mismatched pair of pistols in combat.
* [[spoiler:EvilCounterpart: To Rean. Both are leaders who care about the people following them and both are Raisers.]]
* FriendToAllChildren: Regularly bets candy when playing Blade with the town kids, and to all appearances loses on purpose.
* TheGambler: He likes all forms of gambling and is the go-to guy for information on the new card game Blade. One of his Crafts is called Wildcard and is essentially a weaponized gamble. He's also mentioned to have spent most of his time hanging out at a casino on a field mission the player wasn't present for.
* GunsAkimbo: His fighting style, especially pronounced in his S-Craft.
* [[spoiler:HumongousMecha: He's the chosen pilot of Ordine, the Blue God Knight. He awakened the machine three years ago under currently mysterious circumstances]]
* LonerTurnedFriend: According to Towa and Georges, Crow was a complete loner in his first year at Thors until he ran into Angelica, who was determined to break through his shell. With her fists. It worked.
* {{Roboteching}}: He can do this with bullets when performing Cross Raven, likely through Orbment-assisted Time manipulation.
* SempaiKohai: Part of the group that supports Class VII, along with Angelica, Towa and Georges.
* SeriousBusiness: His approach to the school festival. Seeing the normally laid-back Crow so serious about making the performance a hit is really funny. Unless you're Emma, Machias or Jusis at least.
* TheSlacker: He's sent to join Class VII on a temporary basis in order to earn extra credit because he's in danger of not graduating with the credits he's currently earned... and the first thing we see him do is slack off further. He somehow manages to earn enough to graduate on time regardless.
* [[spoiler:YourTerroristsAreOurFreedomFighters: He sees himself as a champion for freedom, fighting against the system that conquered his homeland and the man who is responsible for Erebonia's expansionist ambitions.]]

!Miriam Orion
-->'''Voiced by:''' Kotori Koiwai

A young girl encountered by Class VII while on a Field Exam who is accompanied by a robot companion she calls Airgetlam. Strings are pulled to get her into Class VII, where she exhausts everyone with her boundless energy.

* AloofAlly: She is both an ally and an opponent to Class VII as well as an honorary classmate starting in Chapter 5. Her first encounter with Class VII sees her becoming a party member, but only after she 'tests' you in a fight.
* BadassAdorable
* BeehiveBarrier: Artium Barrier has this visual effect and allows her to tank a single physical attack. Airgetlam later deploys an even more impressive beehive barrier that protects the entire party during a cutscene.
* BewareTheSillyOnes: Yes, she's a little weird. She's also [[PraetorianGuard Iron Breed]] with everything that comes with it.
* {{Bokukko}}
* CatGirl: Much like Tio's headband, Miriam's cap (worn when she attends Thors) gives her a catlike appearance.
* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}: She has no problem with the idea of summoning a two meter tall robot in the middle of a classroom. Sara tells her not to do that again because if anything gets damaged, ''she's'' the one the Headmaster will take it out on.
* CrutchCharacter: In-universe, Airgetlam is one for her; when she runs into a situation where her robotic companion can't instantly solve her problems, she freaks out.
* CuteBruiser: She's tiny and she hits ''ridiculously'' hard. True, it's mostly Airgetlam doing the hitting but she can transform it into a weapon and swing it under her own power and she's incredibly athletic so it's not ''all'' her robot's doing.
* DropTheHammer: Her S-Craft Gigant Break transforms Airgetlam into an enormous hammer capable of shattering the ground with a blow. She later gets Sledge Impact which does the same thing in a lesser form.
* FrickinLaserBeams: One of Airgetlam's built-in weapons, Riot Beam and its upgrade Valiant Beam.
* GenkiGirl: Her formal introduction to Class VII sees her attempt to out-Genki [[LegendOfHeroesVI Estelle]], which she will continue to attempt throughout her remaining screentime. She succeeds to the point of wearing Rean and Jusis out.
* GirlsLoveStuffedAnimals: When moving into the Third Dormatory, she brings an impressive collection of dolls with her, including [[SeriesMascot Poms]], [[ZeroNoKiseki Michey and Michie]], [[{{Franchise/Ys}} Pikkards]] and [[NayutaNoKiseki Noi]]. The Zwei II penguin also makes a reappearance, although at a much smaller scale. Apparently, Lechter bought all of them for her.
* GlassCannon: She has exceptional DEF and hits like a truck but her HP reserves are fairly low. Since her default Master Quartz buffs her DEF even further and grants Craft Guard and Magic Reflection (and she has a Craft that can grant the first effect at will) she can ''usually'' stay out of trouble as long as you're careful. Loading her up with Quartz and accessories to bring her HP to a more reasonable level can ameliorate this.
* HairAntennae: She has a short pair.
* KillSat: Her second S-Craft Galaxy Cannon has her transform Airgetlam into one of these and [[RuleOfCool fire him from low orbit]].
* LethalChef: She joins the Cooking Club in order to get free food. Her attempts at cooking some of her own tend to set off smoke alarms.
* MundaneUtility: She tries to use Airgetlam for everyday things like stirring ingredients while cooking. The other characters (usually Rean) have to remind her not to do this. [[spoiler:During the attack on Trista at the end of the game she puts this to practical use, taking advantage of Airgetlam's ability to fly in order to see what's happening in areas that are out of line of sight.]]
* NoSenseOfPersonalSpace: Attacks Rean, Jusis and a random girl from the Equestrian Club and has naughty dreams about Emma though we don't see her go after her onscreen.
* TheNotSecret: Neither Miriam nor the game make any real effort to hide that she's one of the Iron Breed, working for Prime Minister Osborne, although her motivations are only revealed at the end when she tells Class VII.
* PintSizedPowerhouse: She's tiny and can swing a ''massive'' hammer. She also has the highest natural DEF of all the playable characters despite being the youngest and smallest.
* ReportingName: She identifies herself to Iron Breed members as "White Rabbit'.
* RobotBuddy: She's accompanied by Airgetlam, a two meter tall robot that can carry her around, pulverize solid rock and [[ArsonMurderAndJaywalking stir the soup]].
* SpellMyNameWithAnS: Is it Miriam or Millium?
* TokenMiniMoe: She's thirteen and looks it.
* WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes: Like a [[ZeroNoKiseki certain other character]], she's terrified of ghosts and asks Jusis not to say the 'G-word' around her. Also as per the previous character, her fear is kind of justified by the fact that ghosts in this setting A) Exist and B) Can kill you.
* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: Blue-green in fact.
