It's a little unclear as to whether they're beings the Mythos was based on, grew (and Ascended) out of the Mythos's popularity, or minor Admin-level entities who decided to adopt identities from the Mythos. Possibly a combination given how many there are.
* BullyingTheDragon: Cthulhu went around to make attack on Loopers, trying to drive them mad... And succeeded with Harry Dresden, whose admin is [[TheDreaded Nemesis]]. Needless to say, he pays for it.
* CollectiveIdentity: Above and beyond being known as a group, there's some uncertainty if there's only one entity posing as any given Mythos manifestation (ex. Cthulhu) or several trying to claim the identity.
