* TheLastOfTheseIsNotLikeTheOthers: She's completely different from the previous Underlords. While the others veered into LargeHam territory, Ghaāstly is completely silent. And while the others attack the heroes directly, Ghaāstly harms them indirectly through radiating bad luck onto anyone too close to her, while looking in her box causes instant death.

It takes a bit of persuasion and example for the others, however. By the second arc, he tells Mr. Snake he'd rather die a good guy than become a bad guy again.
* TheBigBadWolf: He's pointedly the same wolf from ''Literature/TheThreeLittlePigs'' and ''Literature/LittleRedRidingHood''. Despite this, he’s the first one to invoke the change to good, and is the most insistent of it.

The end of Book 10 reveals he fell into Marmalade's weapon, causing him to absorb the other heroes' powers and [[CameBackStrong come back more powerful than ever]].]]
* EasilyForgiven: Despite his many lapses and betrayals of the gang, Mr. Wolf is always willing to forgive him and keeps giving him second chances.
* FaceMonsterTurn: In "Dawn of the Underlord". [[spoiler:Corruption from the evil dimension thanks to his superpowers turns Mr. Snake into a devil-horned monster bent on corrupting the others.]]
* GreenEyedMonster: His anger towards Agent Fox is purely because Mr. Wolf likes her, which he translates into Mr. Wolf liking her more than himself. He admits this at the end of Book 5, which he feels like is keeping him from fully becoming a good guy.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Mr. Snake is insistent that he's unable to become a good guy. As such, he keeps a harsh and rude demeanor towards others, but deep down, he really ''wants'' to be a hero, and shows capabilities at times. Slowly through the series, his heart of gold shows further and further, however.
* MindOverMatter: His superpower in "Superbad".
* SnakesAreSinister: The most genuinely sinister member of the group.
* SourSupporter: Mr. Snake is the most apprehensive of the change to good.
* SuperpoweredEvilSide: In "Dawn of the Underlord", [[spoiler:the combination of super abilities given to Mr. Snake turns out to lead to a gateway to an evil dimension that corrupts him into a stronger supervillain.]]
* ThenLetMeBeEvil: This is one of the reasons Mr. Snake insists that he can't be a true hero. He was seen as a bad guy to start, so he doesn't bother to change his reputation. This slowly starts to crack away throughout the series, as he becomes a truer hero. [[spoiler:As of "Dawn of the Underlord", it turns out this change hasn't stuck, and he's actually ''worse off'' than when he was originally.]]
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Chickens, which made the mission to free chickens in “Mission Unpluckable” a difficult one for him.
* WhatYouAreInTheDark: In "Alien Vs Bad Guys", Mr. Snake is eager to take the escape pod and return to Earth, but is forced to stay with the crew to save Legs. Gradually, the others are captured until Mr. Snake is alone, right next to the primed escape pod. [[spoiler:He launches it to distract Dr. Marmalade, then finds an alien robot and uses it to fight him and save his friends.]]
* WithGreatPowerComesGreatInsanity: In "Dawn of the Underlord", [[spoiler:the corruption of Mr. Snake's superpowers causes him to turn into a full-on supervillain.]]
* YouAreBetterThanYouThinkYouAre: Mr. Wolf is insistent that Mr. Snake can change for the better, despite Mr. Snake's own denial of it.

[[folder:Mr. Piranha]]
[[quoteright:292:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mr_piranha_book_design.png]]
A Bolivian red-bellied piranha from the Amazon River, well-known for biting the butts of tourists, and the second recruit.
----
* TheBabyOfTheBunch: He's the youngest out of his family, and is taken a bit less seriously by his father thanks to this.
* BerserkButton: Don’t call him a sardine.
* TheChosenOne: [[spoiler:He's The Oracle, who's meant to help Agent Fox find and defeat the Overlord. While he gradually realizes his role and importance, he never remembers his actions as the Oracle.]]
* ComfortFood: Mr. Piranha's go-to comfort food is beef and bean burritos. He has a tendency to make them in mass amounts and scarf them down in times of stress.
* DisguisedInDrag: In "Attack of the Zittens", Mr. Piranha is disguised in a bikini and ponytailed wig as "Mindy", a pet goldfish, much to his extreme embarrassment.
* GivenNameReveal: [[spoiler:Pepe]].
* GratuitousSpanish: Being from the Amazon River, he randomly adds Spanish words to his speech at times.
* IAmNotWeasel: Mr. Piranha is often referred to as a “mutant sardine” by various news sources, much to his annoyance.
* LogicalWeakness: Despite being able to move on land with no water, being a freshwater fish, he's unable to swim in saltwater.
* MassiveNumberedSiblings: Mr. Piranha has ''900,543'' brothers and cousins. They fill up their own gang thanks to this, and Mr. Piranha is the youngest of them all.
* PiranhaProblem: Mr. Piranha, also known as the “Butt Biter”. His family is made up of over 900,000 other brothers and cousins, causing a swarming gang when they're all together.
* SuperSpeed: His superpower in "Superbad".
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Beef and bean burritos. Even as his reputation as a “butt biter”, he still enjoys them, and has a tendency to make them when stressed, and then overeat them. [[spoiler:The gas caused from eating too many of them ends up helping save the day in the book “Intergalactic Gas”.]]
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Mr. Shark]]
A massive great white shark known for eating anything and anyone, and the third recruit. Soon develops skills as a master-of-disguise.
----
* BadBadActing: His acting skills leave a lot to be desired, but it's good enough to get the job done.
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: In Book 15, [[spoiler:Underlord Snake manages to corrupt him and Agent Hogwild]].
* BruiserWithASoftCenter: Once he solidifies himself on the side of good, Mr. Shark's dangerous persona quickly drops, and he quickly becomes the emotional center of the team. He's more open with fears, but still won't hesitate to lash out in anger when things go wrong.
* DisguisedInDrag:
** He disguises himself as a little girl who lost her puppy in the first book, much to his own irritation. This was his first disguise in the series, while also prepping him up to be the disguise guy for the team.
** In "Mission Unpluckable", he uses a mother hen disguise to attempt to rally the clueless chickens to follow him.
** In "Alien Vs Bad Guys", he once again puts on a female disguise, this time his approximation of a female version of the alien species [[spoiler:that Dr. Marmalade truly is]]. Unfortunately, he has no idea ''what'' they actually look like, so this one fails.
* GivenNameReveal: [[spoiler:Lou]].
* MasterOfDisguise: His role on the team, either to cause distractions or to get into highly secure areas.
* PaperThinDisguise: Mr. Shark's disguises are obvious to the audience, as he's a shark disguising as other animals or personas. Despite this, the only people who seem to be able to tell it's a disguise is the rest of the crew. This would eventually be subverted in "The Bad Guys in Alien Vs Bad Guys", because Mr. Shark doesn't know what [[spoiler:the females of Dr. Marmalade's alien species]] looks like, his disguise is readily foiled.
* ThreateningShark: Mr. Shark, aka “Jaws”. He’s so dangerous, that his case file hardly even has any info on it, and has the most major warning.
* VoluntaryShapeshifting: His superpower in "Superbad".
* WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes: Mr. Shark is originally terrified of spiders. Meeting Legs turns him into a shivering wreck, while having the tarantula land on his snout causes him to faint. He later befriends him, losing his fear and becoming the one to vouch for him the most.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Mr. Tarantula, aka "Legs"]]
The fourth recruit, a tarantula with incredible hacking skills.
----
* FriendlyNeighborhoodSpider: Legs is a kind and creative tarantula, and had already shifted to the side of good before he was introduced. Unfortunately for him, the stereotype that spiders are scary has dragged on for him. This was a heavy plot point in "Mission Unpluckable", where the others (primarily Mr. Shark) had to realize that yes, he means no harm, despite the fact he looks scary to them.
* GivenNameReveal: [[spoiler:Stevie]].
* OddNameOut: Legs is the only member of the team to not be named after his species. It is later revealed that this is a nickname, as "Do-You-Think-He-Saurus?!" reveals that his last name is "Tarantula", [[spoiler:while his first name is revealed as "Stevie" in "The Baddest Day Ever"]].
* TheOneWhoWearsShoes: After complaints from the others on wearing nothing, he gains a baseball cap and four pairs of tennis shoes, making him the only member of the heroes to actually wear shoes. Still no pants, despite that suggestion.
* PlayfulHacker: Legs is the tech person on the team, as his multiple legs let him quickly hack into computers, which he demonstrates with Mr. Snake’s criminal records, which are meant to be highly secured.
* SpidersAreScary: Legs the tarantula manages to freak out the others (minus Mr. Wolf, who is already acquainted with him). Despite this, he’s already ground into being a hero, and quickly wins the others over.

[[quoteright:140:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/screenshot_20220407_181533_google.jpg]]
The fifth and final recruit, a velociraptor from prehistoric time. An accident involving time travel gave him super-intelligence and sapience. [[spoiler: He is also the last of the four others.]]
----
* ImprobablyHighIQ: He has his IQ boosted to ''512'', making him the smartest creature in the world. Agent Doom is uncomfortable with the idea of it.
* SmartPeopleSpeakTheQueensEnglish: He suddenly gains a posh accent when his brain levels are boosted.
* SmartPeopleWearGlasses: He gains a pair out of nowhere when his brain is boosted to genius levels. [[spoiler:He loses them when his intellect is taken away, but regains them when his intellect is restored later.]]
* SuperIntelligence: The faulty time machine that gives The Bad Guys superpowers also mutates Milton's brain, turning him from an angry dinosaur into a cultured genius. [[spoiler:He temporarily reverts back to his savage form after he is stripped of his powers at the end of "The Big Bad Wolf", but regains them by the end of "The Baddest Day Ever".]]

* GovernmentAgencyOfFiction: Their organization is so secret that regular authorities don’t even know they exist.
* HeelFaceTurn: [[spoiler:All of them were thugs or criminals before meeting each other. Bonding over their shared struggles, they decided to rededicate themselves to using their skills for good instead of evil.]]

The leader of the group, a red fox ninja.
----
* BigGood: She's the most overarching and active heroic character in the series, and with her own dark past, she serves as the image of what Mr. Wolf aspires to be. Her role is taken further in the second arc, where she's revealed to be [[spoiler:"The One", the hero destined to slay the Overlord and save the multiverse]].
* TheChosenOne: [[spoiler:She's "The One", the only person capable of destroying the Overlord.]]
* DisneyDeath: [[spoiler:"Do-You-Think-He-Saurus" opens with her getting killed by aliens waiting for the guys to get back. * GivenNameReveal: [[spoiler:Ellen]].
* IncorruptiblePurePureness: [[spoiler:As she's "The One", she's completely immune to the Overlord's corrupting influence and can stop stop others in her vicinity from being corrupted as well.]]
* InterspeciesRomance: With Mr. Wolf.
* ItSucksToBeTheChosenOne: [[spoiler:She spent years hiding her status as "The One" to the other Agents; Kitty Kat takes the revelation especially hard. And once the Overlord knows where she is, he won't stop pursuing her until she's dead, meaning anyone by her is in danger.]]
* MentorArchetype: She serves as Mr. Wolf's mentor, showing him the kind of hero he can become.
* {{Ninja}}: She's reminiscent of one when first introduced in Book 3, wearing an all-black outfit with only her eyes visible and wielding a katana.
* ParentalAbandonment: "Superbad" reveals that [[spoiler:her parents were killed by hunters when she was young]].
* SamusIsAGirl: Legs quickly mistakes her in "The Furball Strikes Back" as a guy before she reveals her face.
* WomenAreWiser: Agent Fox is a much more seasoned, capable, and serious hero compared to the others.

----
* AfroAsskicker: She has a large black afro. Until "Superbad", she was only seen from the back, with her afro being her defining feature.
* BrokenPedestal: Her trust in Agent Fox is briefly broken when she learns [[spoiler:Fox knew she was The One all along and kept it a secret from her and the others]].
* DespairEventHorizon: Despite all the horrible things that happen during the second arc, she seems to hold up remarkably well... right up until [[spoiler:Shark and Hogwild are corrupted, Piranha is captured by Snake, and all the Underlords confront her at once. * GivenNameReveal: [[spoiler:Pam]].

A hog who rides a motorcycle.
----
* AbhorrentAdmirer: She's very overt with her romantic advances, and it's obvious that the boys that she flirts with are uncomfortable with her. [[spoiler:She actually ''weaponizes'' this by using it as a taunt to get Mr. Piranha to test his super speed without being caught by her.]]
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: In Book 15, [[spoiler:Underlord Snake manages to corrupt her and Mr. Shark]].
* GivenNameReveal: [[spoiler:Emmylou]].
* HayseedName: Agent Hogwild, the Southern biker member of the group, is actually named [[spoiler:Emmylou]].

* GivenNameReveal: [[spoiler:Joy]].
* IronicName: The dour and gothic Agent Doom's real name is [[spoiler:Joy]]. Mr. Snake taunts her mercilessly over this.
* {{Kuudere}}: She's emo and dour to most people, but eventually [[spoiler:softens up to Mr. Snake. She claims her support is "ironic", but Mr. Snake doesn't believe it]].

[[/folder]]

!!Allies

[[folder:Tiffany Fluffit]]
A news reporter in town who constantly gets entangled in the Good Guys Club's adventures.
----
* CatsAreMean: Her commentary can be pretty nasty, especially in the books prior to Book 6. As revealed in Book 14, when she feels scared, she falls back on established stereotypes to make herself feel safe. [[spoiler:She sheds this attitude by the end of Book 16.]]
* CharacterDevelopment: She starts off as a shallow reporter that immediately judges the Good Guys Club for their looks alone, judging them as bad guys despite their insistence on proving themselves as heroes. She comes around to them after they stop the Cute-Zilla Ray, but is still otherwise shallow and begins to relapse back to her old habits after [[spoiler:Mr. Snake is corrupted and starts ripping the world apart]]. She puts all her faith into Buck Thunders being a hero that can help them, [[spoiler:but once Buck is revealed to be a spy, she is forced to confront how her beliefs failed her and finally sheds them, becoming a legitimate hero in the process]].
* GivenNameReveal: In Book 16, she reveals that [[spoiler:her given name is Delores Gristlewurst. Upon discovering that Buck Thunders was a spy for the Overlord, she abandons her "Tiffany" name and persona]].
* KentBrockmanNews: She has a very clear bias against the Good Guys Club at first; even when the Sunnyside Farms chickens are praising the gang for saving them, Tiffany can't help but paint the gang as bad guys. It takes the gang stopping Marmalade's Cute-Zilla Ray at the end of Book 5, a truly undeniable heroic act, before she finally changes her tune.
* MeaningfulName: "Fluff" is often used as a derogatory term for news reporting that's superficial, which basically describes Tiffany's whole reporting style.
* RageBreakingPoint: She completely snaps when she discovers that [[spoiler:Buck Thunders isn't a hero like she thought, but really a spy working for the Overlord, and her beliefs and attitude had clouded her judgement from the obvious warning signs]].
* StageNames: [[spoiler:"Tiffany Fluffit" is a stage name she had invented for herself.]]
* TagalongReporter: She has a habit of showing up wherever major events are happening. She gets sucked into the plot of the second arc because of this.
* WildCard: She doesn't have any allegiance to any factions in the story. She just provides commentary, whether positive or negative, on whoever she happens to report on. [[spoiler:Book 16 shows her switch to being a proper ally for Shadow Squad G.]]
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Granny Gumbo]]
A witch doctor alligator.
----
* ApothecaryAlligator: Parodied. Granny Gumbo ''is'' an alligator in this case, while also being a witch doctor.
* TheBusCameBack: After not being seen since her debut in Book 4, she returns in Book 15 [[spoiler:and is revealed to be one of The Others, a group of outsiders destined to help Agent Fox defeat the Overlord]].
* NeverSmileAtACrocodile: Granny Gumbo, despite being a bit senile, is still a capable witch doctor. She doesn't hide the fact that she's prepping to eat Mr. Snake as well (she thinks he's a worm).
* ObfuscatingStupidity: [[spoiler:Her ScatterbrainedSenior act is revealed to be this in Book 16, and she's far more in the know of what's going on than most of the major characters.]]
* PlotAllergy: Her allergy to "mutt-dogs" (which translates into being allergic to Mr. Wolf) ends up saving Mr. Snake after Granny Gumbo swallows him (due to thinking he was a worm).
* ScatterbrainedSenior: Despite being a powerful witch doctor, she's a bit loopy thanks to age. [[spoiler:Subverted in Book 16: it's part of her act to hide that she's one of the Others.]]
* WitchDoctor: she is a elderly alligator living in the swamplands. Despite being a touch senile in her old age, she is the only one with the cure for the Zittens.

* {{Irony}}: Despite his insistence on honesty, he has trouble trusting anyone else. [[spoiler:When Agent Fox tells him she's The One he'd been waiting for, he has a hard time believing her, even when Mr. Wolf's life is on the line.]]
* PoorCommunicationKills: He tries to warn Wolf about Ghaāstly's box, but he does so by pestering him with "I have to tell you something" instead of saying the warning outright. Wolf, who is busy trying to get the group to the next doorway safely, keeps dismissing him. By the time he tells Agent Fox about the box, [[spoiler:Wolf has already looked inside and immediately dies]].

!!Antagonists

[[folder:Doctor Rupert Marmalade '''(SPOILERS UNMARKED)''']]
A wealthy and powerful guinea pig who seeks revenge on the Good Guys Club after they disrupt his chicken farm. In reality, he's a prince from an alien planet attempting to take over the world.
----
* AlienAmongUs: He's actually an alien prince from the planet :(, bent on conquering the Earth to prove himself to his father.
* BerserkButton: Don't call him "cute". This is what actually drove him to villainy. This even extends to his alien form, which is terrifying by Earth standards.
* CuteIsEvil: A billionaire mad scientist that also happens to be an adorable guinea pig. Despite being cute, he ''hates'' being called cute, to the point of using his scientific abilities to un-cutify anything else on the planet that's considered cute. It also turns out the guinea pig appearance is just a ruse, he's actually an alien that used it ''because'' he wouldn't be taken as seriously in it, though he was still considered "cute" by alien standards on his planet.
* TheDogWasTheMastermind: He's introduced as a normal guinea pig at the end of "Mission Unpluckable". It's only when the others leave (after they think they're rescuing a normal guinea pig) does his true colors show, and he becomes the main antagonist of the series for the first arc. [[AlienAmongUs And then it turns out he's not even a guinea pig...]]
* EvilCounterpart: Where the main characters are traditionally fearsome animals tired of being called bad and wanting to do good, Marmalade is a cute animal tired of being called cute and wanting to do bad.
* HatesBeingCalledCute: Dr. Marmalade. He's a billionaire mad scientist who also happens to be an adorable guinea pig. Him being tired of called "cute" is what drove him to become an evil scientist in the first place. It turns out, by alien standards, this holds true of his actual form, a tentacled mess of stalks with butts for hands, which looks terrifying to the others.
* LongLived: His alien species can live over 10,000 years. Marmalade himself is on the ''young'' side, being only [[ProportionalAging 900 and still in preschool]].
* MadScientist: Dr. Rupert Marmalade, an evil scientist guinea pig who is the main antagonist to the heroes and secretly an alien.
* {{Manchild}}: Played with. To Earthling eyes, Dr. Marmalade is an eccentric mad scientist. To the eyes of his alien species, he has the mental maturity of a preschooler.
* RoyalBrat: Dr. Marmalade is the crown prince of his planet. He was sent to Earth to become a better ruler, but he ended up just wanting to conquer everything, much to the irritation of his much-nicer members of his species.
* StarfishAliens: His true form is revealed as a tentacle alien with butts for hands.
* TheyCallMeMisterTibbs: In "The Furball Strikes Back", Wolf, Snake, and Shark meet Rupert Marmalade for the first time:
-->'''Wolf''': Wait a minute! I know you! You're that cute little guinea pig from the old house next to Sunnyside... You're '''Marmalade!'''\\
'''Dr. Rupert Marmalade''': That's '''DOCTOR''' Marmalade to you!
* TheUnpronounceable: His real name is KDJFLOERHGCOINWERUHCGLEIRWFHEKLWJFHXALHW. Most of the others end up keep calling him "Marmalade" to skirt this issue. Somehow, Mr. Shark and Mr. Snake can pronounce the real name.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Dread Overlord Splaarghön]]
A demon that lives in the darkest depths of the multiverse, his ultimate goal is to reach and destroy the main universe.

* EldritchAbomination: It lives outside the multiverse, resembles a massive, demonic centipede, has the power to corrupt [[spoiler:almost]] anyone into evil, and just saying his name triggers the sound of hardcore metal guitar strings.

[[folder:Underlord Shaård]]
One of the Overlord's underlings, a demonic creature with chainsaw hands.

* IWasQuiteALooker: He shows Wolf and Agent Fox a photo of himself before the Overlord's corruption, where he was much more conventionally attractive.
* ScaryTeeth: His teeth are so mutilated, sharp and grotesque it's a wonder they don't constantly stab him when he speaks.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Underlord Esmeralda Ghaāstly]]
One of the Overlord's underlings, who resembles a scorpion attached to a human body.
----
* TheLastOfTheseIsNotLikeTheOthers: She's completely different from the previous Underlords. While the others veered into LargeHam territory, Ghaāstly is completely silent. And while the others attack the heroes directly, Ghaāstly harms them indirectly through radiating bad luck onto anyone too close to her, while looking in her box causes instant death.
* NothingIsScarier: What's in her box is never shown, but it's apparently so terrible that [[spoiler:one glance from Mr. Wolf causes him to immediately have a heart attack and die. When Abe revives him, he doesn't remember what he saw]].
