* DeathGlare: After Lance beats him in the war games [[IronicEcho and taunts him for it]], Baron adorns [[https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/sym-bionic-titan/images/6/64/Baron_losing_in_Shadows_of_Youth.png/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/1000?cb=20131218014913 a scowl]] that's downright ''murderous''.

* EstablishingCharacterMoment: The moment he appears onscreen, he is shown to be a {{Jerkass}} who makes cracks about Lance's dad and beats him to the ground with his cronies with [[NoHoldsBarredBeatdown Lance not fighting back]] even after he punches him in the face. Furthermore, Arthur's nonchalant first greeting of Lance after he came into their shared dorm beaten up and knowing the perpetrator shows that this isn't the first time that Baron has done this.

* JerkassHasAPoint: {{Deconstructed|trope}}. Disrespectful he may be by making an insensitive comment about Lance's recently "deceased" father, he's still painfully accurate that Edward's "death" is due to his willingness to cross the other side of the portal out of curiosity. However, it's implied that Edward's true fate was covered up as a HeroicSacrifice, with only Lance, The King, and a couple of others knowing the truth, showing the Baron's callous and deplorable nature.

** The King believing the traitorous Galalunian Commander's word over Lance makes sense as the latter has already accumulated a reputation as a MilitaryMaverick, with a repeated offense of being jailed for insubordination if the King's words upon meeting Lance in prison again is of any indication.

* JerkassHasAPoint: Even though he has Lance arrested for supposedly killing the hostages, the commander is correct that he disobeyed orders and charged in recklessly, not to mention he struck his superior in the face out of anger.

* HorribleJudgeOfCharacter: The King is shown to have signs of this. He let Baron off the hook, despite the fact that he tried to murder Lance. He believes the Galalunian Commander's lie that Lance murdered the hostages, except the commander is working for the Mutraddi and is keeping him from knowing about the invasion.

* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: Though he's a good king, some of the events of the show happen because of him: 1). He's the reason why Lance became rebellious 2). He's also the reason why Modula became the leader of the Mutraddi and 3). He's unwittingly doomed Galaluna when he ignored Lance's warning that an invasion was coming and choose to believe the traitorous Commander's lie over Lance. This would later come back to bite him when he learns that Lance was telling the truth.
* WeUsedToBeFriends: He and Modula were friends before Modula led the Mutraddi into causing severe destruction towards Galaluna.

* EstablishingCharacterMoment: The moment he appears onscreen, he is shown to be a {{Jerkass}} who makes cracks about Lance's dad and beats him to the ground with his cronies with [[NoHoldsBarredBeatdown Lance not fighting back]] even after he punches him in the face.
* DisproportionateRetribution: If someone were to cross him in anyway, he'll take drastic measures to get the last laugh.
** While Lance technically threw the first punch, Baron retaliates with a NoHoldsBarredBeatdown, and it's implied that he's less mad of the punch and more about his shirt getting wet.
** He vandalizes Lance and Arthur's dorm room and made them look like slobs to the combat instructor, all because Lance tries to defend Arthur by ramming into Baron during the zero-gravity training.
** Finally, he went as far to assassinate Lance after losing the war game against him, which also denied him the privilege to become an elite soldier.

* {{Jerkass}}: Every single thing he does to Lance is extremely despicable. He picks on him, he gets him into trouble, he even has the gall to make insensitive remarks about his father being deceased.
* JerkassHasAPoint: Disrespectful he may be by making an insensitive comment about Lance's recently "deceased" father, he's still painfully accurate that Edward's "death" is due to him willing to cross the other side of the portal out of curiosity.
* JerkJock: He picks on everyone he sees as weak.
* KarmaHoudini: He [[BullyBrutality tries to murder]] Lance because Lance beat him in the war games. When Lance steals the Manus armor to try and scare him off, he takes another and they get into a mecha duel which blows up a good chunk of the academy. While Baron receives relatively minor punishment for the fight, ([[CrimeOfSelfDefense as does Lance]]), he was apparently never even charged for the unprovoked attack beforehand. At the very least, he won't be attending the same academy with Lance anymore in order to save face.

* MeaningfulName: It's rather fitting for a guy that comes from nobility to named, "Baron".
* RemovingTheRival: Once he loses against Lance in the war games, and losing the privilege of being hand-picked for the elite position of the manus armor, he immediately tries to assassinate him on the following day.

* SmugSnake: He's quite the self-centered bastard and think of himself as untouchable thanks to his noble background and flawless record.

* HeroesWantRedheads: With Kimmy, though she seemed to be attracted to him first.

* FaceHeelTurn: We don't know the details yet, but he used to be one of the good guys.

An enigmatic individual affiliated with a group known as the Galactic Guardians. His ambitions, motivation, and alignment remain to be seen, although to date he has typically served only to play as the voice of reason against the heavy-handed tactics of General Steel. [[spoiler:Both his fighting style and the technology he uses are Galalunian in origin, a mystery that has yet to be explained.]]

* CoolLoser: Most of her classmates either ignore her or make fun of her.

* CoolLoser: While not quite a nerd he's not one of the popular kids either. Illana seems to respect him in this light.

* ShoutOut: His human disguise as Octus resembles [[WesternAnimation/FamilyGuy Peter Griffin.]]

* HiddenDepths: There's more going on behind that pretty face than you'd think.

* ProtagonistCenteredMorality: Octus is the most guilty of this out of the three, which makes sense because his programming dictates Ilana be protected first and foremost. He doesn't want Lance stopping crimes only because it attracts undue attention, and was perfectly fine with Lance driving a car without a license (and would have made him one if asked).\\\
By the events of "A Family Crisis" he seems to have moved past this mindset, agreeing with Ilana to respond to Solomon's distress call as it is the right thing to do, much to Lance's annoyance.

* AttentionWhore: He's constantly trying yo get attention from Kimmy.

Another student bad boy attending Sherman High and is the amicable-EX of Kimmy Mysner. He comes off as a bruiser and a himbo which is [[LampshadeHanging coined]] by Kimmy's girl friends but shows a bitter jealousy towards Newton fro stealing his girl in Chase's mind. Admittedly, he might not have been the most [[StrangledByTheRedString sincere boyfriend]] he thought he was to her.

* ViewerGenderConfusion: He's one of the few male characters in cartoons that is most commonly mistaken as a female, especially since he appears to have eyelashes and really long hair.

* DudeLooksLikeALady: Lance gets this from the fans.

He [[AvertedTrope averts]] the social stigma because he ends up with [[OddFriendship a Jock friend]] and [[GiveGeeksAChance Kimmy as a girlfriend]]. He seems to be growing in popularity off-screen, too -- his contacts list in "Shaman of Fear" has at least 10 names on it besides "Ilana" and "LANCE".
